For those of you who bake for friends and/or family:
.
.
.
The cartoon below brought up a strong memory for me. I had just turned 17, and
left home with no place to stay. My friend John's mom took me in (as she had with
2 or 3 other "street kids" . We slept in bunkbeds in John's "dorm room" in the attic.
.
We were all broke and often returned home without having had anything to eat all
day. John's mom was on a fixed income, but fed us all. Every night, I would walk in
the door to the truly heavenly aroma of potato soup and fresh-baked bread. Every
night!!! If I were to eat nothing BUT this for the rest of my life, I would be a happier
man for it.
.
I have found people who bake things in their own kitchens for others to enjoy to
be very loving people with very kind hearts.
.
This is for John's mom from that 4-decade-old memory... and for you.

MFM stopped his dog from humping everything in sight, but it's true. Every dog DOES have its day.
