Upsurge in roboscam calls lately

I have been getting a sudden rise in the number of scam calls lately. I haven't been answering numbers I don't know. I block numbers that call repeatedly. But, for the past 2 weeks, I have been getting a lot more calls.

After getting 14 calls in one day between 10am and 8pm, I have been shutting my phone off during the day. Every other day that week I have had only 10 - 12 scam calls per day.

I looked into getting Nomorobo for cell phone. Does it really cost $1.99 a month? If you have Nomorobo for cells, does it work well? Do you like it?

I'm about to go crazy. This morning I got 2 spam/scam calls while I was composing a text for my husband.

Thanks in advance!

They get abortions for the same reasons as non-repugs do

This is one of the best articles I've ever read.

Abortion is a highly personal decision that many women are sure they'll never have to think about until they're suddenly faced with an unexpected pregnancy. But this can happen to anyone, including women who are strongly anti-choice. So what does an anti-choice woman do when she experiences an unwanted pregnancy herself? Often, she will grin and bear it, so to speak, but frequently, she opts for the solution she would deny to other women -- abortion.

In the spring of 2000, I collected the following anecdotes directly from abortion doctors and other clinic staff in North America, Australia, and Europe. The stories are presented in the providers' own words, with minor editing for grammar, clarity, and brevity. Names have been omitted to protect privacy.

Several stories told by doctors and clinical people follow. Anti-choicers may change their views. They may believe that their abortion is the "good" kind or her reasons are the only "good" reasons. They may wrestle with the hypocrisy. They may even be back out front the next day, protesting and shouting at women entering for medical care.

But they get abortions. Just ask representatives Tim Murphy and Scott DesJarlais.
