West's puny response to Ukraine will not deter - If you want diplomacy, it only works with force
This article gets it right.
http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/mar/02/west-response-ukraine-vladimir-putin-russia
Putin understands the West will not respond. The economic sanctions and a diplomatic response are of little consequence. Just as with Georgia, he will act without fear of any real response. Without the willingness to use force, there is no diplomacy . He has to fear that this actually could lead to a wider war before he will talk. Is this what our grandparents and great grandparents felt like watching the German occupation of Czechoslovakia?
US ambassador calls for deployment of international observers to Crimea
Hopefully the start of some sort of response. Calling for Russian withdraw and a UN force of observers.

The Ukraine, Russia, UK and US have an agreement to respect the Ukraine's territory.Ukraine has...
I started another post on this and I perhaps went about it the wrong way. The United States, Russia, and the UK agreed to respect the boundaries of the Ukraine in the Budapest Memorandum ( http://www.rferl.org/content/ukraine-explainer-budapest-memorandum/25280502.html ). Ukraine has asked the signers to guarantee Ukraine's territorial integrity. ( http://www.kyivpost.com/content/ukraine/ukraine-urges-budapest-memorandum-signatories-to-guarantee-its-integrity-yatseniuk-337770.html ). If you were President Obama, what would your response be to Ukraine?
It should also be noted that NATO the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership
between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and Ukraine. http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/official_texts_25457.htm
Ukraine has a right to determine its own future. If Russia uses force, the US should also.
The United States, Russia, and the UK agreed to respect the boundaries of the Ukraine in the Budapest Memorandum ( http://www.rferl.org/content/ukraine-explainer-budapest-memorandum/25280502.html ). The Russian speaking minority in the Ukraine have not been abused and that is not a justification for any Russian use of military force.. Ukraine is historically a nation and should be allowed to resolve its own internal issues. If Russia uses force in the Ukraine, the US should be ready to respond with force.
Obama Care Endgame: Are 7 Million QHP Enrollments by 3/31 Still Possible? Yes, but...
I don't know if you know about the website: http://obamacaresignups.net/ It has provided a very accurate tally of the signups for the ACA. With that they had a very interesting post on the possibility of getting to 7 million market place enromments.
ENDGAME: Are 7 Million QHP Enrollments by 3/31 Still Possible? Yes, but... .
If that goal was attained, I think politically, it would be pretty big. Would give a good offset to GOP attacks in 2014.
Army Women: Better Chopper Pilots Than the Guys?
Very interesting read.

Thats the bottom line in an Army report that, in an effort to study the impact of women on the front lines, compares accident rates of men and women flying Army helicopters from 2002 to 2013.
The revelation is included in Army Major Seneca Peña-Collazos report, Women in Combat Arms: A Study of the Global War on Terror, which he published in May while a student at the School of Advanced Military Studies at the Armys Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
Marines who can't do pullups are 'broke or lazy'
Pretty interesting letter to the editor. This was written by Maj. Jess Mullen, a 37-year-old mother of four.
http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/article/20140218/NEWS/302180026/One-officer-s-opinion-Marines-who-can-t-do-pullups-broke-lazy-
United States Marines, of any MOS or gender, should be required and able to pull their body weight up and into a window, over a wall or into a helicopter.
If you have not reached a minimum of three pullups by June 2014, you must fall into one of two categories: broke or lazy. Those of you who are broken: get healthy. Those of you who are lazy: get up and get training.
