Someone should ask Sessions
Why his memory is so good when he's asked about topics other than Russia. Not one "I don't recall" answer if the question is non-
Russia related.
We see right through you, Beauregard.
Did they tip their hand?
S. Huckabee Sanders said of the Mueller investigation, "We expect this to conclude soon".
Kelly said, the investigation "should wrap up soon.
Sounds like they're reading from the same talking points and that makes me wonder if they mean it will end, just not on Mueller's terms.
I know. It's a lot of conjecture but I can't help but wonder.
Is Paul Ryan guilty of obstruction?
Remember back in June last year when the, what should have been explosive, tape emerged where Kevin McCarthy is recorded telling Paul Ryan and others that he believes Trump and Rohrbacher were being paid by Putin?
Ryan's response was to instruct everyone to keep that to themselves. And "That's how we know we're a family". Wouldn't Ryan be morally, if not legally bound to pass that info to the FBI?
I want to see Mueller's net cast far and wide over the entire Republican cabal. They all either knew or indirectly participated in a foreign government interfering in our elections.
The only explanation for the stubborn refusal to hold Trump accountable is they're just as dirty or they don't give a fuck as long as they get their agenda passed. Either way, they deserve to be held accountable for their dereliction of duty.

Defend, Deflect and Deny
One of the biggest frustrations in my relationship with my ex was her unwillingness to EVER engage in a rational discussion about my feelings about our relationship. It didn't matter what the subject was, the reaction was predictable:
DEFEND herself with something that would start with......"That's because....." but still not willing to talk about the root of our discussion, only an interest in defending her actions.
DEFLECT the discussion by throwing in a bizarre absolute, like, "You always criticize me for........" or "You're just trying to make me look bad."
DENY that my concern had any validity, like, oh this is a good one. I once asked her, "Why do you think you have such a difficult time even acknowledging my feelings, let alone discussing them?" She replied, "I don't." (camel's back, meet the straw)
Anyway, it occurred to me that this is the process of Trump, his supporters and the entire GOP when it comes to each and every new scandal that arises.
First Deny it ever happened: No hacking, didn't happen, fake news
Then Deflect the conversation: Hillary ran a bad campaign. Why isn't anybody talking about all the winning?
Then Defend actions that were previously denied and deflected: What if there was collusion, it's not illegal.
It's no wonder Americans' heads are spinning. It took me 20 years to exit a toxic relationship because I had normalized dysfunction.
So many parallels happening it feels a little like PTSD.
Karmic debt and the rise and fall of a great nation
I have one guiding philosophy I live by: The Universe is Perfect
Whether you believe the universe was consciously created by a higher power or that it is nothing more than the result of physical laws playing out randomly over millenniums, you might even agree with me that God and/or physics are perfect in their consistency.
By putting my faith in the perfection of everything, Im able to find something positive in every situation. An opportunity to better understand myself, to grow spiritually, to learn something new, to benefit financially, to meet a new person, get a new job. In the perfect universe, opportunity abounds.
I believe in the perfection of good examples and horrible warnings and that they both serve the same purpose. I bless them both as great teachers but many times since the election Ive asked myself, Where is the perfection in this? How is any of this good for us, good for America, good for the world? And what Ive come to is this: If Hillary would have become President, wed be on a much more stable path and likely continuing the progress of Obama. But we would be stable in a still corrupt system. Still lying in a velvet coffin, if you will. Republicans would be ruthless and relentless in their condemnation of her every move. (And hairstyle and outfit) The press would still be digging every bit of Clinton dirt, real or imagined, out of every corner and holding it up to remind everyone how corrupt she/they are. Theyd still be ignoring much larger stories of climate change and voter suppression and congress siphoning every bit of middle class dollars they can into the pockets of the rich and not so famous.
Trump is the worst of America staring us in the face, forcing us to look in the mirror as a nation. Look at our greed and racism. Look at our homophobia and our crass commercialism. Look at our lack of compassion and our toxic nationalism. The universe is handy like that, dont you think? It keeps showing you the same thing over and over, getting more and more extreme until you see it and make the necessary change within to alter your experience. What we are experiencing now is the karma of a nation unwilling to say, We behaved badly. Instead, we look at genocide of the American Indian and the enslavement of Africans as necessary and justified inconveniences in the pursuit of a great nation. We have yet to acknowledge the damage America has done and the lives it has taken around the world in pursuit of profits disguised as democracy. Sorry, but thats some serious karmic debt weve racked up and now we are immersed in the results.
Weve got Trump. The Mac Daddy of Horrible Warnings. Maybe he is the universe screaming at us, IM TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. And as always, the opportunity is there to learn and grow and come out on the other side better for the battle. The question is, will we listen now? Which way we go from here is yet to be seen. Many possibilities exist but rest assured, karma is constant, the universe is perfect and we will get exactly what we deserve based on the choices we make.
With all due respect to Johnny Cash
Rachel's opening segment last night should have been titled, "A Boy Named Sue"
Republicans begin calling for Sessions to recuse himself. Really?
You know it's a full on shit storm when Republicans insist one of their own take the bare minimum steps to avoid appearing too partisan.
