NO SURPRISE!

Take THAT, GOP Koch Party!

I always knew he would.

ALWAYS.

January 6, 2015

What's that sound?

January 6, 2015

And make many homeless or commit suicide. Population reduction is a major GOP goal.

Look for scores of media stories demonizing the disabled as they manufacture consent. After media outlets push the meme, they will report that the public approves of their echo, giving the GOP cover to do it!

They'll use many methods, faux scandals, tabloid stories and setting the disabled and and elderly against each other. Without unity, and appealing to human pettiness, it'll be easy.

The Koch agenda is right on schedule, and media will support it through diversions like the Bundy fiasco, giving non-stop media coverage because Sanders and Reid were getting traction in stories that revealed the GOP/Koch Libertarian agenda. This is in the David Koch Libertarian platform since 1980. Sanders put the whole thing online. And no, there's no change in LP state platform. This is still their philosophy.

They have gotten just about everything on their list, playing the CT, Tea, GOP and the public who don't understand what the world the Koch brothers are forcing on us to accept really. Note that Social Security and the Post Office are on the list:

BERNIE SANDERS Uncovers 1980 Koch Agenda- "What Do the Koch Brothers Want?"

What else do the Koch brothers want?

In 1980, David Koch ran as the Libertarian Party's vice-presidential candidate in 1980.

Here are just a few excerpts of the Libertarian Party platform that David Koch ran on in 1980:

We urge the repeal of federal campaign finance laws, and the immediate abolition of the despotic Federal Election Commission.

We favor the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs.

We oppose any compulsory insurance or tax-supported plan to provide health services, including those which finance abortion services.

We also favor the deregulation of the medical insurance industry.

We favor the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system. Pending that repeal, participation in Social Security should be made voluntary.

We propose the abolition of the governmental Postal Service. The present system, in addition to being inefficient, encourages governmental surveillance of private correspondence. Pending abolition, we call for an end to the monopoly system and for allowing free competition in all aspects of postal service.

We oppose all personal and corporate income taxation, including capital gains taxes.

We support the eventual repeal of all taxation.

As an interim measure, all criminal and civil sanctions against tax evasion should be terminated immediately.

We support repeal of all law which impede the ability of any person to find employment, such as minimum wage laws.

We advocate the complete separation of education and State. Government schools lead to the indoctrination of children and interfere with the free choice of individuals. Government ownership, operation, regulation, and subsidy of schools and colleges should be ended.

We condemn compulsory education laws and we call for the immediate repeal of such laws.

We support the repeal of all taxes on the income or property of private schools, whether profit or non-profit.

We support the abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency.

We support abolition of the Department of Energy.

We call for the dissolution of all government agencies concerned with transportation, including the Department of Transportation.

We demand the return of America's railroad system to private ownership. We call for the privatization of the public roads and national highway system.

We specifically oppose laws requiring an individual to buy or use so-called "self-protection" equipment such as safety belts, air bags, or crash helmets.

We advocate the abolition of the Federal Aviation Administration.

We advocate the abolition of the Food and Drug Administration.

We support an end to all subsidies for child-bearing built into our present laws, including all welfare plans and the provision of tax-supported services for children.

We oppose all government welfare, relief projects, and aid to the poor programs. All these government programs are privacy-invading, paternalistic, demeaning, and inefficient. The proper source of help for such persons is the voluntary efforts of private groups and individuals.

We call for the privatization of the inland waterways, and of the distribution system that brings water to industry, agriculture and households.

We call for the repeal of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

We call for the abolition of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

We support the repeal of all state usury laws.

In other words, the agenda of the Koch brothers is not only to defund Obamacare. The agenda of the Koch brothers is to repeal every major piece of legislation that has been signed into law over the past 80 years that has protected the middle class, the elderly, the children, the sick, and the most vulnerable in this country...

Tomorrow it will be Social Security, ending Medicare as we know it, repealing the minimum wage. It seems to me that the Koch brothers will not be content until they get everything they believe they are entitled to.

Our great nation can no longer be hijacked by right-wing billionaires like the Koch brothers.

For the sake of our children and our grandchildren, for the sake of our economy, we have got to let democracy prevail.

We've heard these memes for years, Americans have come to believe this is how it has to be.

This is the future Americans voted for in 2010 and 2014, either directly by voting for the GOP, or living in the past and thinking the GOP wouldn't do this to us. This is from a half century agenda, as shown by Thom Hartmann:

Thom Hartmann: Conservative Millennials, Boomers & Libertarians all being Conned

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1017&pid=44227

We need to check the list to see where we are now. Virtually every meme we see pushed has elements of these things, using F.U.D. and hyperbole. The goal is the same. A return to the days when there were only ten amendments to the Constitution which didn't work for quite a number of Americans. Clearly, the Koch Libertarian agenda will repeal everything that doesn't go along with their pre-Revolutionary War mindset. I'd say pre-Civil War, but the CSA said the Founding Fathers were insane to even pen the phrase, 'All Men Are Created Equal.' So they'll go back to the Articles of Confederation, which is what Richard Mack and others of his ilk promote.

Roasted fresh salmon and vegetables are good:

(google pic, not quite the same)

A friend had a fresh salmon filet with the skin on one side, some lettuce, potatoes, onions, lemons, olive oil and pepper.

He put a little oil on a baking sheet, then the lettuce, thin sliced potatoes and onions, with the filet skin side up and cooked it until it was done.

It worked with the thin slices and the filet wasn't that thick, either. The fish lent flavor to the veggies. He lifted it all up with a spatula, discarding some of the lettuce, then flipped it over and unto a platter.

Then garnished it with fresh lemon slices and black ground pepper. It was quick, easy and tasted good.

When I made it, I added some fresh parsley.

To have authority... You must respect it. They mocked the tears of the families of the fallen:

(Wenjian Liu's widow, Pei Xia Chen, weeps while clutching a photo of her late husband.)

Liu's widow, Pei Xia Chen, said she had lost her "soul mate" and a "wonderful husband".

His father broke down at the funeral as he described how his only child would telephone after every shift during his seven years in the force to reassure his parents he was safe.

"You are the best son, you are the best husband," he said. "We are very proud of you, we love you forever."

He was his mother and father's ONLY CHILD. It's not noted how many, if any, of the NYPD came over to comfort the family while the Teabagger division pulled their stunt:

(A lone police officer could be seen facing forward as colleagues turned their backs on Mayor Bill de Blasio's speech in one section of the crowd.)

At least one man understood the funeral was to honor the fallen, and not make it about themselves. The Mayor spoke with respect of the higher calling Liu lived and died by:

Mayor de Blasio told the funeral service: "All of our city is heartbroken today."

Liu, 32, had lost his life while fighting for "all that is decent and good", he said. He paid tribute to a "young man who came here from China at the age of 12 in search of the American dream".

Consider the meaning of the words, "all that is decent and good." Then look at the shock, pain and sorrow in these faces. The loss of their brother is was made worse by this stunt.

It is a challenge to their own belief in their job. In coming days, how many will now feel separated from those who in their arrogance, turned their back on a fellow officer?

It wasn't just De Blasio they were turning their backs on. The Ramos and Liu's deaths were used as props to their mocking authority and to score political points.

Oh, yes, Sid, star guest on Infowars. You know, the guys who applauded shooting cops, etc. in NV.

The Father of Reaganomics still defends his invention:

A Proud Father Looks Back
Reaganomics: a Defense

Guess where that is posted?

http://www.counterpunch.org/2010/12/20/reaganomics-a-defense/

He didn't see much wrong with Reagan, just a few little details. You know, like it's all just an disagreement among members of the aristocracy, not millions of people getting the shaft in perpetuity. He has the gall to talk about medieval serfs from taxation, like the Koch would say... Pulleeze.

Not upset with Iran-Contra, the treason of the October Surprise, suppressing alternative energy to jump on 'cheap gas' by selling out to the Saudis, no angst about supplying Saddam with poison gas and intel, nor aiding and abetting the growth of the Dominionists pushing theocracy, the attacks on unions and public works and social infrastructure. Just a few little whines here and there, but he leaves the philosophy intact.

He's showcased as a leading intellectual by Alex Jones, and his name is always spoken with a sense of reverence. Nice bedfellows, along with Jones' cozy relationship with Birchers, Libertarians and all the rest who really care about us all. Uh, sure they do:

We still have trickle-down social justice being pushed at black people. If all the classes (read white people who say they aren't racist, ideologically wrong or well-off, etc.) benefit from social justice, the black people will get theirs, too, so they say. Funny, trickle down doesn't seem to work in that matter, either. So I disregard the 'What about me' stuff.

In time, what MLK, Jr. said may very well come true: “Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream,” but for too long it's been getting dammed up as soon as some 'got theirs.'

Just sayin'

Sid, tell me where I'm wrong in my conclusions. No love for PCR from here.

He's on a 'mission from Gawd' to end welfare, etc. Will work with TheAnointedOne© Cruz.

A lot about Gohmert here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1014819416#post32

The Cruz plan revealed here, the religious reason for default, madfloridian's OP linked below:

Cruz' Father Suggests Ted Cruz "Anointed" to "Bring The Spoils Of War To The Priests"

...In a sermon last year at an Irving, Texas, megachurch that helped elect Ted Cruz to the United States Senate, Cruz' father Rafael Cruz indicated that his son was among the evangelical Christians who are anointed as "kings" to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the "Seven Mountains" mandate, and "bring the spoils of war to the priests", thus helping to bring about a prophesied "great transfer of wealth", from the "wicked" to righteous gentile believers...

Discussion of the now-notorious speech by Rafael Cruz has missed the fact that Ted Cruz was subsequently blessed and anointed by prominent dominionist pastors, in effect as a "king" in the political/governmental sphere, at a special blessing ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa, at a July 19th-20th 2013 rally designed to draw pastors into politics...

DUers should read the entire OP and links, it's hair raising:

Too many media consumers lost me with this one, rated Pants On Fire:

President Barack Obama spent "$5 billion paying Ukrainians to riot and dismantle their democratically elected government."

Facebook posts on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 in a Facebook meme

The United States spent $5 billion on Ukraine anti-government riots

It’s a conspiracy with mainstream crossover: The United States bankrolled the bloody political uprising in Ukraine...

The Roots:

Victoria Neuland's words at a time when it garnered scant media attention:

...made clear the United States supported the protesters’ fight and spoke of how she met with Yanukovych, pressing him to end the pushback from Ukrainian security forces because it is "absolutely impermissible in a European state, in a democratic state..."

"Since Ukraine's independence in 1991, the United States has supported Ukrainians as they build democratic skills and institutions, as they promote civic participation and good governance, all of which are preconditions for Ukraine to achieve its European aspirations," she said. "We have invested over $5 billion to assist Ukraine in these and other goals that will ensure a secure and prosperous and democratic Ukraine."

The Truth:

"The insinuation that the United States incited the people of Ukraine to riot or rebel is patently false," said Nicole Thompson, a State Department spokeswoman.

Since 1992, the government has spent about $5.1 billion to support democracy-building programs in Ukraine, Thompson said, with money flowing mostly from the Department of State via U.S. Agency for International Development, as well as the departments of Defense, Energy, Agriculture and others. The United States does this with hundreds of other countries.

About $2.4 billion went to programs promoting peace and security, which could include military assistance, border security, human trafficking issues, international narcotics abatement and law enforcement interdiction, Thompson said. More money went to categories with the objectives of "governing justly and democratically" ($800 million), "investing in people" ($400 million), economic growth ($1.1 billion), and humanitarian assistance ($300 million)...

...spent over more than 20 years.

Yanukovych was elected in 2010. So any connection between the protests and the $5 billion is inaccurate.

And Obama was elected in 2008, so any connection between $5 billion and Obama also is inaccurate.

http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2014/mar/19/facebook-posts/united-states-spent-5-billion-ukraine-anti-governm/

The truth does not fit the world view being promoted by conspiracy theorists. A post that went into the Neuland hatred was alerted by a DUer who described the source material:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1014787623#post10

I think those who believe in all of the spin offs to the Russia Today story that initiated this, per the article, should give the article that was linked here a good look. It has all the CT memes. And the end result is not at all pretty.

It will continue to work on a populace that maintains a willful ignorance, all the better to attack those doing the work of governments acting together in peaceful, but less public ways.

War talk, dirty laundry and rumor is exciting. They're cheap thrills that cost nothing except civil society.

Parry and the rest of the paid by the word media aiming to titillate itching ears will never get out of that deep hole, they'll keep on digging as long as bucks are waved in front of their faces. Like Faux Noise, but with a twist.
