Also, in their function as passive solar energy collectors they place their bodies to get maximum sun for purposes of energy storage. Or for heat. Or hoping to get a suntan that never quite arrives.
I'd guess too, that they place themselves in order to get the best range to connect with their off world alien masters for which they are spying upon us. It's why they want to go outside at night for better reception. They are alien camcorders.

Now that you 'know' that they're sending images through the ether, and someone is watching you, the question is:
Will you still undress in front of your cat and give off world voyeurs a free peep show?

Those have been on the White House youtube channels, websites and iTunes every single week since 2009, and in videos on the above mentioned and Obama friendly sites like TOD, often daily.
Just because it wasn't on MSM, which has been proven to edit out or not at all report but distort, every single word out of this man's mouth for 6 years, is not his fault. He has had an unrelenting travel schedule and gone to every state that would have him, and some where no official would greet or talk to him.
He has talked tough in all those venues, but he's not allowed on MSM. Because we are controlled by that group of media that you mention as 'I mean all they hear now is right wing b.s.' If that is your source, Faux and MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR and every other mealy mouthed media venue, that is what you will think, too.
Many of us realized this POTUS has been under a media blackout for years and even if on CSPAN or other channels for SOTU and other events, they give more time to his detractors than him, speak over and don't allow his voice to be heard. Obama is not a dictator who can order them to cover him lock step every day. That is not going to happen and he should not do that.
The media have chosen, because their owners have, to make sure that he isn't heard. I haven't even gone into what they did to radio with shutting down all progressive voices and cutting them off the air, while continuing to push the rightwingers.
This is considered entertainment now...

It won't be 'under the guise of "bipartisanship"'. It will be pure extortion, just as it has been
since the Tea Party was sworn into office in January 2011.The ACA was a major insult to a Congress sworn behind closed doors to do all they could to make sure Obama was one-term aberration and never let anything pass. It was the cobbling together of big business that got the ACA passed, to end pre-existing conditions barring medical care and lifetime caps that killed people.
In 2011 was when the arm twisting got more serious, after every media attack made against Obama stuck from 2009 to November 2010 as media endorsed enthusiastically the Koch astroturf Tea Party.
Because of his 'socialist' ways with stimulating the auto industry, subsidizing alternative energy projects, making infrastructure and R&D investments, making disability claims easier, increasing Head Start, job programs, giving more funding to the poor and his most dangerous treason to their way of thinking, Obama rejecting Keystone Pipeline fast tracking with every CR that passed his office and going back to bargain.
That would increase the already obscene amount of control the Koch brothers have over the politics of the USA, doubling their net worth in less than one year, and they are not about to stop when they see how well their plans have worked for them.
The summer of 2010 was when Charles Koch called Obama out in media and said there would be severe consequences if he didn't sign on to it. After all, Bush said it was a done deal in 2007. And true to form, they did exactly what they said they would do, just before the Tea Party MSM blitz began.
With the Tea Party installed in office, the first thing was to push national RTW and personhood bills which he had to bargain around in CR's. Every bill from the House had Keystone on the front as demanding to be fast tracked and Rand Paul added national RTW, cuts in SNAP, Planned Parenthood, personhood and other loathsome riders to every bill that had to be negotiated to not veto the funding of the federal government and lead to default. They have not stopped this, and they are in the process of taking apart the last vestiges of the New Deal and all progressive entities.
Their agenda was made clear in the early months of 2011 as the zealots took over. I might add, that they took over the states at the same time and controlled the redistricting process to kill two birds with one stone. They have always said they will have one party rule in the USA and have never been for bipartisanship. They have been gloating the entire time over what they have done, while Democrats go after each other.
Yes, the veto pen will not be used, not because PBO doesn't want to use it. This is what they threatened in 2011, 2012, 2013 and now in 2014. Tell me who is going to survive this, since I know a lot of people who will die sooner or later from it:

As far as the misery index going up and leading to a revolution at the ballot box in 2016, that's magical thinking. Historically, the more chaos, the more likely people will revert to less progressive ideas as they go into survival mode. The definition of Liberal is:
Without prosperity and a strong agency (the hated federal government) to be Generous and Charitable, the rest falls apart. Not necessarily putting people in the Conservative range by nature, but with the kind of austerity that the GOP has pushed in every way on this nation.
Cutting education, health care, food, housing and every other thing, all social services, there won't be the money to indulge in what the baser segments of society, like Tea Partiers, consider to be worthless, like being Tolerant and Broadminded, etc. They've already altered the text books in the schools to eliminate Paine, Jefferson and any other voices that fed the fires of liberalism.
It will be the world as the Koch brothers believe in, and all the good news tales of individual acts of charity won't overcome the brutal facts of fascist society.
I hold no hopes for Bernie or Warren anyone else to get elected from the Left. They both tried to put these issues before the voters were unable to inspire people to get out who believed what they believe in and vote. So obviously, people don't believe in what they do. And they won't elect either to office in 2016.
America is fast becoming like Mexico or the old countries in Europe or the present countries around the planet. The ideals of the Enlightenment, Equality and Equal Treatment under the Law and Lex Rex, were always a minority POV when one looks at the history of the world. We can't be fooled by thinking that the Rex or monarchy is vanquished. It is back, under a different name and with more power than ever.
Now we will just have to set our sights much lower and hope we'll escape being killed by the raving reichwings around the world. It took hundreds of years to get that point they had dealing with their own failures, to put forth that all persons are Equal. I don't see any social structures to repeat a balance that was never perfect to begin with anyway, but led so many millions to better visions that they made real.
The GOP said after Obama was re-elected they would ensure he was impeached to smear and destroy his entire legacy. And they will work to do so starting in 2015. They want the entire liberal and progressive ideology eliminated. That was why Rush pushed the meme of hunting down liberals and Democrats with dogs years ago. We are human beings, but they do not treat us as such. Instead they demonize us in every conceivable way. PBO has taken the abuse for us. In a while, he won't be there to take the beating anymore, but the hatred will not die with him.

My own intrepretation of this is that it's developed through media. Those who loved Star Trek or whatever once caught their interest and inspired their view of the future, have changed their premises of how the world works, due to the changes in the media.
We've seen magical thinking grow and become accepted, some of it from science fiction which at times gave us a better view of the future, and other times warned us of bad trends. What were once benign fantasies have given a sense of inevitability to shockingly totalitarian visions presented where only the most brutal survive and people emulate this. Those who don't ascribe to it are termed weak and losers. It didn't have to be this way.
The other thread is the total disbelief of everything that has been installed in the mind which disdains not only science, but all democratic process. Those by nature are best handled by those of a less dramatic mindset, of clearer and humbler temperament, but are seen as weak by those whose mental landscape is encircled by extremes of fantasy and power.
There was an addiction built into Americans going home to relax with their television on in the evenings and having pleasure at the various ways reality was parsed for humor and sentimentality. Soon came the vicarious experience of watching Ted Turner's CNN non-stop news to build up a sense of being involved and seeing history made in real time. People also trusted the news to tell them the truth and not hold back.
Then media ownership changed hands as has the internet, to become the conservative entertainment news and opinion industry. And it's been swallowed up whole and they've been banging all of us on the head for over a score of years until it, not science, not observable human relations and reflection, is the shorthand by which many Americans view life.
So no surprise to me that such ignorance resulted in this circus, as the Ebola ashes have been imbued with a deadly spirit that can never be disproved to them. We are losing our lives and democracy as presidents feared we would, by not being educated. I think many took a decades long holiday, naively expecting bureaucrats to take care of all these details instead of being willing to join in with it to transform it from within and left the field
Now the baggers joined the system to loot it while denying others a step on the ladder upward, and they are a media creation. They're winning because they believe in government to do what they want, but they don't want the same things from it that we do.

I talked to a black woman in North Carolina two weeks ago. She was not of my generation, born after the death of MLK, Jr. and didn't go through the grief of those days. (She was an Obama fan, too!)
She was so much more confident than myself. I said I was concerned that youth were not taught the history. But she said the older folks were talking to the young people and she was sure they would once again overcome.
It eased my heart, like your post, and I think you for it.
