Considering the DD thing is a creation of yuppie actors, and not a real deal at all. But those who

are swooning over DD will fall for all of this social programming.

That is the group Hedges is warning us about. We have warnings by the JBS daughter posted here by Triana about them and they control media of many kinds.

If you've ever read Michelle Goldberg's Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism it explains the reasons. The full review from Salon:

http://www.salon.com/2006/05/12/goldberg_14/

This stuff is real, and it's turning part of a younger generation, the one Nordquist brags about, into fascists. Plus the two Pauls and their Libertarian movement.

Was looking on youtube to find who is also in bed with the DD, such as Bryan Fischer who most will recall with disgust. Another video I found is of DD patriarch doing the spiel most repeated, which he soon turns into a duck call sales session in a church. It is the most puerile use of the pulpit I've ever seen, and I've seen a bit on cable networks and even CSPAN.

I can post the Fischer one, where he does the teaser with some Bible verses, then shows by the light in his eyes, is his one true love, Libertarianism. He then adds DD to back up his 'see, everyone agrees' claim fascists always use.

If anyone doesn't get that this is from the big money, Koch brother funding this fraud, the DD and Fischer who are nothing but actors playing a role for gulls, I don't know what to tell them but just RIP

They'll never know what hit them until it is way too late. We mock these guys to blow up our egos which doesn't get anything done but harden them against reason. And guess what, they ain't going anywhere.

Here is a DU2 thread:

i posted a little of another Goldberg piece here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/110212801

That includes this link:

The Means of Reproduction: Sex, Power, and the Future of the World

In this groundbreaking work of investigative journalism by the author of the New York Times bestseller Kingdom Coming, Michelle Goldberg exposes the global war on women's reproductive rights and its disastrous and unreported consequences for the future of global development.

Women's rights are often treated as mere appendages to great questions of war, peace, poverty, and economic development. But as networks of religious fundamentalists, feminists, and bureaucrats struggle to remake sexual and childbearing norms worldwide, the battle to control women's bodies has become a high-stakes enterprise, with the United States often supporting the most reactionary forces.

In a work of incisive cultural analysis and deep reporting, Michelle Goldberg shows how the emancipation of women has become the key human rights struggle of the twenty-first century. The Means of Reproduction travels through four continents, examining issues such as abortion, female circumcision, and Asia's missing girls to show how the battle over women's bodies has been globalized and how, too often, the United States has joined sworn enemies such as Iran and Sudan in an axis of repression. Reporting with unique insight from both the rarefied realm of international policy and from individual women's lives, Goldberg elucidates the economic, demographic, and health consequences of women's oppression, which affect more than half the world's population.

As The Means of Reproduction reveals, the conflict between self-determination and patriarchal tradition has come to define pressing questions of global development. Empowering women is the key to retarding the progress of AIDS, curbing overpopulation, and helping the third world climb out of poverty, but attempts to improve women's status elicit fierce opposition from conservatives who see women's submission as key to their own national or religious identity.

From the anticommunist genesis of America's attempts to stem population growth in poor countries to the current worldwide attack on women's rights as a decadent Western imposition, Goldberg explores the interplay between the great issues of our time and the politics of sex and childbearing. Finally, The Means of Reproduction shows how women, strengthened by a solidarity that transcends borders, are fighting for freedom.

I can't find what else I was writing on, but this was also on NPR. It is part of a GOP global strategy to reduce human beings to units of production.

We've already seen with globalization, companies have used their global techniques to feed off the middle class of different countries for their taxes and knowledge base, and devoured their poor for cheap labor, building up their wealth.

National sovereignty no longer exists under that system. They want women reduced to concubines for profit and using religion and other social forces that cannot be discussed at DU to degrade women to force them into this.

They are preparing what I see as a Brave New World of alphas, betas, deltas and gammas without the scientific technology, but by social engineering. As that is accomplished, they will introduce production of desired and undesired traits used for different kinds of work.

I see the image of the DD, as not the actors who are playing a part for dollars, to encourage acceptable of this lowly state of being that will eventually be reduced to the level of grunting pigs. There is a reason for media pushing this, and it's not about the first amendment or god or being populist.

Have a friend in Norway who will put out rice pudding on the barn doorstep for the trolls on

Christmas Eve. She doesn't believe in trolls, but what the hell, it's just a reason to cook.

Elves and fairies don't have the same repuation of trolls and are not spoken of as much.

Another friend in Sweden tells me there are trolls kept in the royal gardens, AKA the world heritage site called the Royal Domain of Drottningholm, to keep away intruders.

Of course that picture was taken in the daytime, and they only let them out at night, she said.

An uncle once told me trolls live under the bridges and ate children who didn't obey their parents. He ran away from home but they didn't get him.

Local traditions yielded:

The Fremont Troll

The Fremont troll took up residence under the north end of the Aurora bridge on Halloween 1990, and hasn't left since. He was sculpted by four Seattle area artists -- Steve Badanes, Will Martin, Donna Walter and Ross Whitehead -- for the Fremont Arts Council. The head-and-shoulders sculpture is 18 feet tall.

The shaggy haired troll glares southward with his shiny metal eye -- a hubcap? In his left hand, he crushes an old style Volkswagen Beetle, which originally contained a time capsule of Elvis memorabilia; it was removed after the car was vandalized and the California license plate was stolen (The crushed car and out-of-state plate were meant as protests against "outsider" development). There are plenty of places to pose, and interaction with the troll is encouraged.

The community pays tribute to the troll every October 31st with a mobile "Trollaween" party, starting under the bridge and wandering to other funky art sites and events in Fremont. Of which there are plenty: Fremont is also home to the Largest Lenin statue in the US.

The troll achieved more notoriety in 1998 when the a man shot a bus driver and ran the bus off the Aurora bridge, crashing on top of an apartment building. The building is adjacent to the troll, and was reported to get as much attention -- for a while you could still see evidence of the impact.

Got pictures of friends and kids setting on his hands, too. I hope he stays there a long time.

As far as the action in Iceland, any excuse will do. I doubt they really believe in elves. Although some of the old religions have been on the upswing, maybe.

Every inch of the planet doesn't need to be part of a transportation grid. Leave a little wilderness...

Tears for the mother of a daughter killed there:

Bangladesh workers protest as building collapse death toll passes 400

...Thousands of workers have marched through central Dhaka, Bangladesh, to demand better safety at work and the death penalty for the owner of a garment factory building that collapsed last week in the country's worst industrial disaster

The May Day protests came as officials confirmed the death toll from the collapse of the Rana Plaza complex had risen above 400. More than 2,500 were injured.

Among the garment makers in the building were Phantom Apparels, Phantom Tac, Ether Tex, New Wave Style and New Wave Bottoms. Altogether, they produced several million shirts, trousers and other garments a year.

The New Wave companies, according to their website, make clothing for several major North American and European retailers. British retailer Primark has acknowledged it sold garments made in a factory in Rana Plaza and on Monday said it was providing emergency aid and would pay compensation to victims who worked for its supplier.

Her daughter was not the only victim. Here is a young couple who look as if they are asleep, but they will never wake up:

Heartbreaking Bangladesh Factory Photo Shows Couple In Final Embrace

A photo taken among the devastation of a collapsed Bangladesh garment factory has brought the deaths of at least 800 victims into sharp focus.

The photo, which gained initial attention on reddit, a social news website, shows two deceased victims embracing inside the collapsed factory in Savar, Bangladesh. Taslima Akhter, the Bangladeshi photographer that took the photo, told TIME that she spent the entire day of the collapse taking pictures, and that she felt like she knew the couple from the moment she found them amid the rubble.

"I looked at who they were in their last moments as they stood together and tried to save each other — to save their beloved lives," Akhter told TIME...

“I took photos because they work dawn to dusk for very little money and their lives are considered to be so cheap, worth nothing," she told The New York Times last year.

And it has had wide attention. I hope this will change working conditions world wide. It's past time to end the war on workers:

Pope Francis Condemns 'Slave Labor' In Bangladesh - 'Goes Against God'

Pope Francis on Wednesday condemned as "slave labour" the work conditions of victims of a factory collapse in Bangladesh in which more than 400 people have been found dead, Vatican radio reported.

"A headline that really struck me on the day of the tragedy in Bangladesh was 'Living on 38 euros a month'. That is what the people who died were being paid. This is called slave labour," the pope was quoted as saying at a private mass.

"Today in the world this slavery is being committed against something beautiful that God has given us -- the capacity to create, to work, to have dignity. How many brothers and sisters find themselves in this situation!" he said.

"Not paying fairly, not giving a job because you are only looking at balance sheets, only looking at how to make a profit. That goes against God!" he was quoted as saying.

P.S. Not a Catholic. Anyone who condemns the taking of lives for war or other profits, is working for the good. We've been taught the views of the rich and the powerful. They are wrong : People before profits.

Pope Francis is definitely calling out Scalia and the rest of those money grubbing frauds:

to DonViejo

Ryan, Gingrich, Boehner, Paul and Gingrich cannot help but know he's calling them out. The Romney and Koch lovers will not be able to call themselves Christians anymore to decieve the flock. Which is mainly the poor and those suffering whom they have sought to harm. Those frauds have a lot fo answer for.

These paragraphs are even more ominous:

This is the nation Republicans built with money from the Koch brothers’ and Americans for Prosperity, American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute, Club for Growth, and Wall Street that have spent the better part of two decades achieving the Koch brothers’ “vision of a transformed America.” The result of their transformation is increasing millions of Americans either wallowing in poverty or stuck in a downward spiral with no expectation of ever achieving anything more than “working poor” status with no more hope than not dying homeless. Sadly, a segment of the population, those most likely drowning in poverty and living in the Southern United States expedited the conservative’s plan by voting for Republicans because they promise to fight for religious freedom, guns, and preserving their European ancestors’ dream of a Christian wonderland.

The real tragedy is that as stupid Southern voters do the Kochs, Wall Street, and corporations’ bidding by keeping Republicans in power, at least in their states, they are dragging the rest of the nation down to their level and conservatives depend on them playing an integral part in transforming the entire nation into their vision for America. However, the rest of America is sick and tired of the old Confederate mentality sucking the life out of the rest of the country and facilitating Republican and their money machine’s effort turning this once exceptional country into a third world laughingstock of the developed world for its rapid decline due to an incredibly stupid voting bloc.

Decent Americans have a message for so-called “real Americans” down South and across the country the Kochs and Republicans manipulated into transforming a once-great nation into a third world backwater. Wrap yourself in that Chinese-made flag, clutch that bible to your bosom, and sling that assault rifle across your back, because the only thing you accomplished by supporting Republicans is helped the Kochs and their ilk transform America into a statistical third world nation. That may be your definition of Southern pride and real Americans, but just remember you work for poverty wages, depend on Americans’ charity to feed you, use our charity tax dollars for religious indoctrination, and boast you will fight and die for your religion like every extremist in every third world country.

This is the Confederate model and the Koch brothers method. Those who want that kind of society never gave up their work of destroying the Constitution and what it stands for.

It's been a thorough con job, spreading across the country and soon the world. Worried about the UN, NWO?

The Koch world order is coming and it has been building a long time. FDR knew what it was:

THEY WHO SEEK TO ESTABLISH
SYSTEMS OF GOVERNMENT BASED ON
THE REGIMENTATION OF ALL HUMAN
BEINGS BY A HANDFUL OF INDIVIDUAL
RULERS... CALL THIS A NEW ORDER
IT IS NOT NEW AND IT IT NOT ORDER.

~ Franklin Delano Roosevelt

And that was when we considered the enemy to be far away on foreign shores. It is the challenge of our nation. It is right here, and has always been. We cannot ignore the South. We know by history that such zealotry knows no boundary.

To let them secede is just giving them room to regroup and attack as their vision of power requires constant infusion of wealth, and they don't mind killing others for it. That's why they are homeschooling and teaching their youth old testament ways and hatreds.

Obama stepped into office at a dire time in our history, when we are at the precipice. While we divert ourselves with many things, we cannot stand back and allow this Koch plan for a permanent status quo to win.

JMHO.

Every state has its own set of reactionary jerks who think this is fine. It takes the voters to stop

the state laws. The federal mandatory minimums are losing favor and the entire process has been skewed against minorities and the poor for generations.

The DOJ website has had updates on what Holder has managed to change and he and Biden both have been working on these issues.

Many states cut funds to public defenders offices decades ago which resulted in pleas deals forced on people who could not afford private representation. That process of persuasion to states has not ended since the first months of 2009.

Blocking Obama's nominees for courts have played a part in denying repeals and hearings across the nation to debate these in court.

Billionaire owned media won't report those efforts. It is mostly about people of color for the most part, and poor for the rest, and the media doesn't consider them human.
