The philosophy of Paul, the Libertarians, Tea Party and their ilk, is dishonest about the true reason the Union was opposed, clearly stated by both the President and Vice-President of the Confederacy. They believed that blacks WERE (we still have their kin parroting this today, subtly or openly) and ARE inferior biologically. So WERE and ARE women, in their worldview, who should NEVER be afforded the protection of the credo 'All men are created equal.'
Their writings go into detail and they would then, as they intend now, tear the nation apart to maintain their control over those who they believed to be innately inferior to the WHITE MALE. This is their legacy, this is why there was so much 'suffering' that engenders Paul's sympathy, but it is for white people ONLY. He rides roughshod over the suffering blacks were enduring by being treated as property.
Is it any wonder they are all about property rights and willing to destroy other humans and the planet to preserve it? That they want minimum wage laws and other protections for those not so privileged, are against voting rights, and all that government FORCED on these incorrigible reprobates, repealed?
That they call for the 14th, 15th and 16th to be repealed? And with the repeal of the 14th, which they continually denigrate, with its Equal Treatment Under the Law and Due Process clauses?
And their squeals since a BLACK MAN now lives what they consider THEIR White House, never mind that it was built by BLACKS. Looks like their 'ownership society' is missing a few links.
Their insane rants about the 4th Amendment are laughable. The 4th nor any of the Constitution or the Amendments did NOT protect Dred Scott. The 14th cites the 4th, which was not about covering everyone, as those disenfranchised all those years knew it didn't. It took a Civil War over the very issue of whether blacks were fully human beings and the 14th, 14th and 16th. Women's right to participate in government took another Amendment.
This is not an error in their judgment or ignorance on the part of this group's leaders, nor in the heart of their followers. The root of their interest in taking over government is that. Ithey don't want either of those concepts to apply to those they talk about with contempt all the time, and goes double for the rights of women and gays.
They want a theocracy, as they believe God made them the only rightful rulers by right of birth. I have no tolerance for the Pauliban and their enablers who claim to be progressives. They are living on borrowed time in the political world. The rest of us can no longer tolerate their nihilistic temper tantrums. Let them howl, but don't stop calling them out for the dung that their philosophy is.

I've had to deal with this IRL with poultry and people. The link just an example. They can't be talked out of it in most situations, one poster there did suceed in getting one to stop, by putting the bully with larger chickens who didn't allow the behavior and learned.
Guess that prison would be the same thing for these two sociopaths, but I doubt they will be punished. Since we don't 'cull' bullies from the human race, obviously the way some suggested in that thread. And from that thread on poultry, we see that bullies inspire others to kill at times on a scale that exceeds any attempts to calm it down.
This is a misuse of physical and social advantage, and not what a person with a conscience would do. What good are these guys to the world? Who have the done this or other things to before, and what will do they do when they get away with this. And they likely will since Christie and others are so popular. This nation has been coarsened beyond belief, and for no good reason.
Depressing to see people act this way, it's not like the football players didn't have other places to be, no one was confining them with the homeless man.
