I hope she reams them out like she did here:

The poll only matters in the general, not the primary, but I'm gonna keep posting that video. GOP ass was kicked hard to the curb!

No wonder the rightwing created the CDS machine. Those who want to ignore what she said to fit the rightwing's play book, will need better earmuffs. Her own words dispute it, but they won't fact check.

Definitely. And they ignore what those lesser folks do to help others in the here and now while they

call for a physical, political from the top down and manned from the grassroots revolution, that at this point is currently occuring from the Right, not the Left.

They want something exciting and simplistic, at which will allow them to go to their default state of 'forgettaboutit.' I saw this when Obama was elected in 2008 and he begged his voters to get involved for grassroots change. I talked to a number of Democrats who voted for him who were convinced their job was done already and they could sit back and enjoy utopia.

My experience is that the simplistic answers literally kill people who are vulnerable and don't fit their mold. They point to how their solution will take care of everything... in due time... but people only have the here and now. Life is extinquished by the radical simplicity they seek to impose to match their doctrines... and it has. I know their names.

Those little piecemeal programs and some bigger ones, all supported by Democrats and not by other brands, save lives now. The other brands disdain these solutions. Most people seem to deny that there has always been an entrenched oligarchy in this country, that was here before the American Revolution. Their land was given to them by the King of England. Some moved on, some lost their land for other reasons, but the others are still here. Wall Street existed over a century before the Revolution or the Constitution. It was where George Washington was inaugurated.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wall_Street

These oligarchs didn't go anywhere, and their descendents have a mindset that sees things very much at variance with what Democrats have thought since the New Deal. They believe we are an unfortunate, temporary aberration from what they see the world as. This is the firm backdrop that those who are elected find themselves repeatedly pitted against and have had to make accommodations with. This is not corruption, it is historical reality.

Yet Obama is called a sell-out for recognizing this reality. Like the ACA was what he spent most of his political capital on, as a beginning. Yet it's not good enough, we all know UHC is best and that provision is in the plan, but left up to the states for the grassroots to make their state houses and legislatures change.

Canadians have said it took them 20 years to evolve from the same sort of system we have with the ACA and years of political battles, that some aren't willing to do here. So they just point fingers at Democrats, saying if someone had just listened and obeyed *their* doctrine, there would be no problem. Their denial falls within the realm of fantasy, as without grassroots and sadly, not of the kind that meets up and high fives each other in the streets (I've been there, too) but takes many mentally, financially, emotionally draining days to keep the current New Deal idea alive and looking for solutions to adapt to a changing mindscape. Our kind are obviously dying out.

Even Medicare and Medicaid is not good enough, if it leaves many without the means to pay the differences, and it does. Only UHC covers all. Some people are priced out of healthcare, and it's not Obama's fault. He put a system in place that allowed UHC to come from the states. Many states did not embrace it, some denied it totally and even destroyed their traditional Medicaid programs, others messed with it to deny coverage, but others went with the goodwill intended.

In regards to minimum wage going up to $10 or $15 o $20 or more an hour, those demand it should be even higher, so forgettabout, discount the real lives impacted. There are some taking credit for these changes, but are dishonest about the Democratic Party input in those areas, as it is not their brand.

Anyway, I must go and long live the BOG! Because our focus when he leaves the presidency can be his international work and work in America for racial equality, to fulfill the dreams of so many millions before him.

Count among them Rand Paul who wants to call for (most of them do) Article V convention by states

to redefine what a citizen and personhood is.

IOW, no birthright citizenship and person to be defined from the moment of conception. They have not hidden this agenda, too many on the left laugh, but these guys are arresting women NOW.

And there are those pesky things like equal protection under the law, due process, the IRS, women's sufferage, limits on presidential terms, etc. they can go after.

An Article V Constitution is opening up the toolbox to re-create it under the Koch brothers' agenda with a full theocracy. And many of us will not survive the transition.

Check their propaganda, they are not kidding. They have been implementing the changes from state to state. While we argue about this or that, the framework we are in is being attacked and dismantled.

That's why it gets so tiresome watching people shred each other when we are dealing with people who are well-funded, radical and not playing around. It is part of how the radicals have taken over the country state by state. Be good to each other, folks. Time is not on our side in this one.

What about Aliens? It could be Aliens and this planet is a science experiment. Just sayin'

And I'd be royally pissed if it was. How irresponsible of them to take off and leave us here to screw everything up!

On the other hand, could be the ultimate in free thinkers. Either way, we ain't all that special in the universe, we's just a speck of dust in eternity.

Unless one wants to go with this sorta-religious thing:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Infowars guru Jones, based in Austin, and a supporter of the Pauls and says he 'really likes Cruz,'

has been pumping this into the minds of the gullible since before 2002, or Y2K when civilization was going to end. Papa Paul keeps giving his prediction of America's complete economic collapse and MartialLaw©. There latest deadline is September of this year. These are the SFB types that put Cruz in office. Jones is an admitted Bircher and also a Libertarian. But he says that he knows TheTruth©. Before anyone thinks its' harmless, read the latest SPLC report:

His principal venues are “The Alex Jones Show,” which has approximately 2 million weekly listeners and is nationally syndicated on about 60 radio stations, and two conspiracy-themed websites, InfoWars.com (Alexa rank 330) and PrisonPlanet.com (Alexa rank 3,237).

They are in every state, people are voting against all taxes (back in the 1990s he claimed the IRS was illegal) and he's only gotten worse. His films and there are many of them free on youtube have also been shown in movie theaters. He's definitely got backers somewhere, I suspect Koch influence. Working it from boths sides, right and left. Because both can find something to get them excited. He also has a world wide audience and he's bigger than some admit.

Yeah, I can see Cruz and Abbott singing his song. There are a lot of benighed souls inTexas who have been completely turned around by this guy. This is where this comes from, and it's gospel to varied groups, especially among the young.

I love that Einstein hair look. I know a lot of seniors who get it. They are no less valuable.

Same as Obama wearing the same suits every day, he said it's just one less thing to think about when he's doing his job. Not all of us are that concerened about our looks or clothes. Bernie has things to do and places to be.

He seems younger every time I see new images of him, as the campaign is invigorating. There are pursuits in life that are not chores and onerous duties but call to one's highest nature. Energy flows to one to accomplish those seeking good goals.

Bernie is the ideal Democrat and the type I want to see in ofice. I have seen many good words and wishes by HRC and Obama fans for Bernie. The DNC amd Hillary have welcomed him. He may be the dark horse like Obama was, but I don't see him inspiring POC more than HRC currently.

That is the essential voting block. It's their time, and that of women, and it will benefit the nation. No one will be able to smear Bernie except on his ideas. It's time to have this debate in this country. This may be our last chance and if he doesn't get the nomination, I'll vote for whoever it is.

The GOP has shown that they take our vote, redefine who a person is, and many other things that would make fans of the bad guys in the Handmaiden's Tale very, very happy.

Besides, I don't want to live under direct Koch rule. They have almost got all they wanted on the state level now. Wait, I won't be able to live under Koch rule. So yeah, I do not approve of those saying they will not vote if their candidate is not the nominee. Because they don't care about the lives of me or people I care about. And that's the bottom line to me.

If the farms are owned by the government, and the workers paid as government employees, no problem.

The question is, do they own the land in question?

Will they be able to pay the workers, in wages or other renumeration (with costs offset with housing, or a share of what they grow, as a communal group - which isn't that desirable, Libertarians love that idea - it's called cheap labor) to make them anything more than peons again?

Will they have rights?

Of course, if the first question is not addressed in fairness to all, the rest is just horseshit and will not succeed.

In a truly socialist society, the ownership of things essential to the public good is assumed. So this should be no surprise as a solution. The problem I have learned is that Maduro is running a system that is not what many of us believe a socialist government to be.

Instead of being a crony capitalist system, it is a crony system with huge wealth being transferred to individuals and others who are becoming the new oligarchs, or boligarchs, hiding under the rhetoric of socialism for people who will buy that brand without thinking in the larger context of what is going on there, where the power really is.

Like Putin, now a billionaire from his time in government, but we may have fantasies he is against Western evils, that is horseshit. He's an oligarch. Maduro and his cronies appear to be working fast and furious to become the nouveau riche.

It is not even a liberal society in terms of human rights:

Abortion is illegal in Venezuela. This is not a sign of a liberal nor a progressive political environment. It has one of the top rates of HIV infection and underage pregnancy and is reportedly anti-semetic. This is not the record of say, a state like Norway, Sweden, etc. If half the people are kept to second rate status by culture, that country does not believe in human rights. There is no place to hide or any rhetoric to hide behind. No ands, ifs, or buts. EOM.

I favor these things in any government:

a robust health system without profit funded by strong government as Scandinavian nations have had;

public systems of water and electricity and less parasitic feeding on those which is happening in various degrees now, where people use the public system but extract profit which degrades the system by virtue of privatization or other less obvious schemes;

and nationalization of extractable energy sources that are often managed with profit being the prime interest, while degrading water, land, air, health and all the other evils that people have traditionally turned a blind eye to because they have this blind faith that business and people they have no control over whatsoever, will take care of them. Pull my other finger!

So it ain't a socialist paradise by any means and I refuse to accept history as the cause of that. No one is making them behave in the way that the government there is doing. We're not talking even remotely talking of what Bernie would approve. I approve of him, but not the grinding on and on of anti-Obama and anti-HRC -- not my first choice and she was my last choice in 2008-- rhetoric. The cheap shots have the PUMA stench or 'Party Unity My Ass.' That is not from him, but those who, like the PUMAs, turned many of us off from HRC for many years.

Yes, I am a heretic and a rebel and can think very well for myself.

Every nation, every culture, is different. I'd be glad to live in any of the Scandinavian or European countries who have benefited their population. Not Venezuela, as it has ignored everything but economic theory.

No, I do not fit in the boxes some are trying to force some of us into at DU, because:

How To Make Homemade Popcorn

No, not a skillet. Work with me, okay?

In a Heavy-bottom pot, heat 1/4" oil, 2 kernels of popcorn and cover. Heat on medium until the 2 kernels pop.

Add popcorn - about 1/3". Cover and shake occasionally until the lid starts to rise.

Turn off heat and enjoy great popcorn every time!

Or just use the microware version. We don't time to waste, we're outraged at Obama! I mean how dare he? How DARE he? Why is he still in the White House?
