William Barr's Very own Whistleblowers

Chairman Nadler has two former DOJ employees coming in to testify.

https://www.politicususa.com/2020/06/16/barr-whistleblowers-testify.html

"William Barr is the most corrupt attorney general in modern American history, and in a little more than a week, whistleblowers are going to detail his impeachable offenses."

Let it be so!

Light bulb. Rachel. Steve Bennen. Moscow Mitch.

If you watched Rachel tonight, you saw her discuss Steve Bennen's new book. He has been with her for many years as a producer. He has a new book coming out tonight.

The Impostors: How Republicans Quit Governing and Seized American Politics.

He discussed the fact that Republicans have not been interested in governing at all. They are interested only in power.

Here's the light bulb part for me. I remember in 2014 when Mitch was running for reelection and he was asked on the stump about his policies. He sneered (his standard dismissive look) and said something like "We aren't going to discuss any policies now. We'll address that after we've been elected."

Bingo! Steve is right.

The clip will be up tomorrow. Worth watching.

The Ohio Legislator who claimed

That the African American population ("colored people" - his reference) is more susceptible to Covid 19 is because THEY DON'T WASH THEIR HANDS!!!

Yeah, that guy.

Well, it turns out he's an ER doctor.

And..........

He just got fired from his job.

Consequences! Finally!

According to Worldometers

The US has now exceeded 2,000,000 cases of Covid-19!

I'm so glad it's going to magically go down to zero.

From 15.

My letter to my Congressman

I live in a small blue island in a very red Congressional district. My Congressman Greg Walden has never voted the way I have asked him to. I have continued to call his offices to express my concerns. He is not running for reelection and I sent him the following email. Not holding my breath.

Dear Congressman Walden:

Your constituents are waiting for you to make a forceful statement about your President's behavior. You voted against his impeachment this year, even with all the obvious evidence presented in the House. Even with all of Trump's obstruction of the inquiry and his refusal to respond to any lawful subpoenas, you supported him.

You are, I understand, and Episcopalian. So am I. That means we hear the same lectionary every week. The same Gospels. Are you not disgusted and horrified by Trump's using of OUR church as a political stage? A Bible was in his hand, used not as the word of God, but as a prop. Yet you still stand by silently.

He is threatening to use the US military against our own citizens, which is not legal except in the most specific and dire circumstances. What about the military families and veterans who live in your district? Do you not stand up for them?

He has massively bungled the response to a global pandemic that has hit the United States harder than any other nation on earth. You think that's all OK? Your silence is deafening.

You are retiring seven months from now. You probably have another job lined up that will carry you comfortably into the future. You do not have to run for election ever again. You can stand up and do what's right for this nation that you have sworn to defend. You must speak out against this person residing in our White House before it's too late. He is trying to destroy our republic - and that's not hyperbole.

A fervent plea from one of your constituents - DO SOMETHING!

---------------

I'll probably just receive one of his milquetoast response letters, but it felt good to express my feelings. I will report back.
