Aerows
Aerows's JournalI have to question why the Democratic Party
is so damned adamant about not getting our message out there via debates.
I'm not electing someone by how CNN spins how worthy they are, I'm voting because I believe in the positions taken by candidates on issues that I care about.
Honestly, does Bernie Sanders not have an agenda that embodies Democratic principles?
Why do people get so riled up about him doing what he said he was going to do, outlining and solidifying his positions so that there are no surprises?
I'm tired of surprise politicians that say one thing and do another.
OMG, even my conservative Republican parents
are enthralled with Bernie Sanders. O'Malley is looking great too!
CNN is so damn annoying.
It's like MTV doing the damn news and covering a Presidential debate, while trying to turn it into the Kardashians.
Hillary Commercial: I am the agent of change.
I leave it to DU to ruminate on that.
I think CNN.com has absolutely crashed due to traffic
I guess they weren't prepared for everybody that was interested. It's not like 25M+ watched the Republican debate.
Maybe they anticipated fewer numbers?
Integrity.
in·teg·ri·ty
inˈteɡrədē/
noun
noun: integrity
the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
"he is known to be a man of integrity"
I guess it's possible to buy a facade of integrity and steadfast values with a glass yoke and a synthetic wagon to pull it.
If you don't have the enthusiasm, and the joy of supporting your candidate, it isn't the fault of everybody else under the sun.
Ooo, boy, next Speaker of the House - I know, you will laugh as much as I did
My Representative (and I use that term loosely, because he represents nothing I believe in)sent me this stupid letter about the Next Speaker of the House. I give you this masterpiece of GOP idiocy:
I'll leave it to everyone else to form their own opinions, but this is what I sent him back:
Marsha Blackburn!? LOL!
Go for it. If you want the House to have even less credibility than it had under Boehner, pick her. She isn't as bad as McCarthy at speaking intelligently (or intelligibly, for that matter) but if you want a laughingstock, you are picking some real winners!
Maybe you guys should just nominate Ted Nugent, since the Speaker doesn't have to be a member of the House and he's the strongest on the lunatic scale that I can think of, currently.
Poll: Opposition or Support for the TPP
Which position most agrees with your view on the Trans Pacific Partnership:
Is there something you can substitute for shortening?
Specifically because I want to make Indian fry bread:
Recipe ingredients:
2 1?2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1?2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
1 cup milk
oil (for deep frying)
Directions
To make Indian Fry Bread Mix dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening; then add milk.
Fry in oil until golden brown.
But I haven't seen shortening on the shelf in ages. I'm not about to buy a number 10 size of shortening, either.
What can you substitute for it?
Thanks - you all are kind of awesome for knowing everything I don't know about cooking.
