The more I see rancid attacks on Bernie Sanders

the more certain I become that he is who I want to vote for, canvass for, and fund raise for.

Watch crystal replacement - anyone ever done this?

I have an automatic Seiko that is a fine watch. Except I bashed in the crystal at 11.

Anyone ever done a replacement crystal? I have a variety of tools, but I haven't gone this far.

I can either toss the watch, which has great, smooth sweep movement, or replace the crystal.

I would like to replace the crystal. This is not my first foray into repair of watches, but replacing a crystal is damned assured handicraft.

Just an interesting though - I found my watch that I have been looking for at the bottom of a swim bag when I was doing spring cleaning. It's still beautiful, except for the crystal. The automatic movement/date is still fine.

I was watching this:

EDIT: The press is 13.50. I did indeed order one. What the hell, I have every other tool under the sun!

I guess I'm weird, but I am attached to this watch. .

15 cats that encountered boxes that were too small

https://www.thedodo.com/cats-whose-boxes-are-too-small-1071685972.html

I laughed at this, because every cat I have ever had in my life played the "I can fit in there, even if you think I can't" game.

"Photogate"

It sucks when history and the internet collide.

A smear turns into egg all over a journalists face, and makes him look small.

Damn.

Can the campaigns (read: Hillary's) quit with antics that make us all look bad (and by us, I mean her and her supporters)?

ABC game

in this game, you name a famous person.

The famous person goes alphabetically. A is for Adele, for example.

Ex. You state their name, and the person who answers after you tells you what they are famous for (singer) and proceeds to the next letter. Bill Clinton. politician.

I'll start. Amelia E.

The Primary is important

No question about it.

Another thing that is important, too, are local and state elections. As you canvass for your choice in the primary, it wouldn't hurt to be aware of who is doing a good job in your local and state candidates. Sometimes just mentioning somebody's name in the course of asking them to vote for a Presidential candidate can make a difference.

Getting out the vote is critical, and raising awareness of fine Democratic candidates both locally and at the state level is just as important!

I don't care if you want to vote for Hillary or Bernie - let's motivate everybody to vote for Dems at all levels of government. The more Dems we have in all offices, the better chance we have of getting important legislation passed!

Anybody that touts their agreement with Kissinger

isn't going to vote Democratic anyway, so if Hillary doesn't see that as shooting herself in the foot ... I'll just stand over here and wait for her to ask for a ride to the hospital. I'll drive, I'm magnanimous like that.

I believe that the majority of DUers are

reasonable and civil.

You don't click on GD-P and become a stark raving lunatic unless you were one before you clicked on it.

We *DO* need to be more kind to each other.

That is something that I think we need to remind each other of - we aren't enemies just because we have a difference of opinion on candidates. I trust that most DUers are decent people that have strong opinions, and would give you the shirt off of their back if necessary.

This is a fine community of people.

Can we please start respecting each other as members of this little corner of the internet, and be grateful that we have fun and intelligent folks that have goals and dreams that are similar to our own?

If we all agreed on a candidate, this place would be boring as hell. That does not mean we can't be more respectful of each other.
