SEATTLE - It doesn't usually snow that often or that much in Seattle, so when it does, you have to excuse us for being a little bit inexperienced in how to handle an actual winter storm.

Daniel Silvermint, a proclaimed transplant to Seattle, went to Twitter to "document" his observations as Seattleites tried to prepare for the winter blast.

"I’ve never witnessed anything quite like Seattle grocery stores when locals are preparing to brave 4-5 inches of snow," he first tweeted, setting off a barrage of humorous observations about life in the Emerald City ahead of impending snow chaos. "Like, people are stocking up on emergency tomatoes and leaving water jugs on the shelves."

Drump will be way worse than he is now and there will be more terrorism. Sure the House and/or the Senate will try to do a lot, but you have to remember the Supreme Court is against us now. The small vocal far right will protest and their message of fear along with Dumps and the republican party will reach enough politically stupid people that it will make it hard to win the Presidency for us. Even if we pass something that will help everyone they will be against it until it sinks in that it helped them, and by then they will be again in control of the message of fear. Look at the ACA for proof. The ACA was enacted in 2010!!! 8 years ago and now they like it but the credit they give us for it will be short lived. The repubs even now are trying to campaign off it!! The simple fact is that fascism/fear politics are on the rise in the world and it will take something large to change enough peoples minds. Should we be all doom and gloom? Should we give up? Naw,,,,,, I like this site for a lot of reasons, one is the second word in the site. I joined after it was really important, now I think its just as important as the first. Be the best you can be, do all you can, don't give up. Just realize the road in front of us is harder than you probably think and that is if we win the next two elections. If we loose? There will always be us in the Democratic Underground fighting the good fight every day, and that will be enough. Rock on.

A white man involved in an earlier brawl that day said he was injured by Harris, and authorities drew up an arrest warrant.

I am sure it is because of the large scale demonstrations against nuclear across the world. Could it be because it economically doesn't make sense compared to renewable energy and gas energy? I mean, we know that energy companies are real sensitive to the prevailing thought and don't follow the money. As I have stated before, I havenothing against Nuclear energy, I just don't think that it is necessarily better than solar and wind. Both have their pro's and con's. Don't you dare tell me that bringing healthcare to millions is failing, that giving people the right to marry is failing, letting children that came here from other countries go to school or join the military without fear of being deported is failing, that the people who opposed these things with their gadsen flags and their "keep government out of medicare" are the people we need to reach out to. Just don't. You can use your lost election numbers to justify your point, in the end elections aren't change they are just elections, points on a arbitrary scorecard.
