NYTimes poll: 82% of Democrats want Hillary to run.

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2014/02/27/us/politics/most-democrats-want-clinton-to-run-in-2016.html?from=homepage

Among Democrats, 82 percent say they want Hillary to run compared with 13 percent who don't. Biden and Warren were both in positive territory with a net "should run" of 3 and 5 points respectively. More than 80 percent didn't have an opinion on O'Malley and of the 36 percent who have an opinion on Cuomo, slightly more than half think he shouldn't run.

Family Sues Petco After Calif. Boy, 10, Dies from Rat Bite Fever

The family of a 10-year-old-boy who died from rat bite fever is now suing Petco for the boy’s death. Aiden Pankey died last summer from rat bite fever, a disease reportedly carried by a rodent purchased from a Petco in San Diego, Calif., according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

...
Two weeks after buying the male rat, the boy was struck with what his grandmother called “flu-like symptoms” and died over the course of 48 hours.
...

“I put him to bed after a day at the doctor’s office and the next thing I knew it just was too late,” she said. ”I went into his room and he couldn’t speak. He was unstable on his feet. I got him down to my room and he collapsed on the floor. I called 911 because it was scaring me that his breathing was shallow and he seemed to be losing his ability to function.”

The San Diego Medical Examiner’s office said in a report issued to ABC News that “despite aggressive resuscitative efforts, death was pronounced.”

Man Accidentally Kills Self With Gun During Demonstration On Gun Safety

A man from Independence Township, Michigan accidentally shot and killed himself on Monday while teaching his girlfriend about gun safety, the Oakland Press reports.

The 36-year-old, whose name has not been released, was showing his girlfriend how his three handguns are safe when they aren’t loaded, according to the Detroit Free Press. He was attempting to demonstrate the safety of the handguns by holding them to his head and pulling the trigger.

The third gun fired, and the man was struck in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

...

This isn't the first time a gun safety demonstration has gone wrong. In January 2013, 18-year-old Florida resident Alexander Xavier Shaw died doing a similar demonstration. Richard M. McLean, a 22-year-old from Michigan, died in a similar fashion in June 2012. Missouri resident James Looney, 40, was also teaching his girlfriend about gun safety when he shot himself in the head in September

CNN does craven hatchet piece on Hoboken Mayor

In what CNN presents as a news article, NOT an opinion piece, "CNN Investigative Reporter" Chris Frates posted a sensationalistic hatchet job full of unsupported hyperbole but no new facts.

The screaming headline is "First on CNN: Christie scandal mayor full of contradictions." Frates just rehashes what has already been reported elsewhere about how Zimmer had stated "early on" that she had no reason to believe the withholding of Sandy relief funds was retribution.

Then he makes the ridiculously untrue assertion that "Every time she told the story, the number of people she implicated in the pressure campaign grew."

Chris Frates came to CNN on September 25, 2013, after having worked at Politico. It shows.

Wonder who got Frates/CNN to post this nonstory on the day responses to the NJ legislature's subpoenas were due?
