Grassroots gatherings for Bernie Sanders

Be kind, I've been here since 2011 and this is my first OP!

One of the Bernie pages I like on Facebook sent me a link to the meet-ups and I see that there is no meeting in my city, Columbus, Ohio. It's like the 15th biggest city in the US and there's no meeting even close by. Should I host one or should I wait until a 'professional' hosts one? I am not a public speaker AT ALL and I don't have any political campaign experience aside from a single Dean meet-up a million years ago. I am a gardener who generally has the appearance of a bag lady. I imagine at this point everyone is waiting for someone else to start and I don't mind getting the ball rolling and then passing the baton to someone more competent. Or should I just be patient and wait for someone else to do it? Or should I start one for my closest suburb (Grove City) and hope other meet-ups pop up in surrounding areas?

If I do host an event, will someone provide an itinerary of what we should be doing? Does anyone have suggestions for locations? I will have a million questions, where can I find answers?

As you can probably tell the idea of hosting an event makes me very nervous but I'd rather host an event than not participate at all. Thanks for any and all help.

If you'd like to join or host a meet-up, do so here: http://www.peopleforbernie.com/99meetups
