Oops, I did it again....

That same auction house had a clearance auction of some of the lots that didn't sell in the first one because they started at a too high price for the buyers: meaning a lot of 210 brand new Godzilla BluRay DVDs were priced at .25 cents each but X210 with bids going up a quarter each time.
When they list them like that a lot of the buyers pass on them.

So on Friday they did a last minute clearance auction of the unsold lots.
There was no notice and few buyers online late on a Friday.

I won two lots right away, one of 66 high end gift boxed designer photo albums that had been a corporate gift one year I guess.
Really nice, two designs, they retail for $30. each.
I got that lot for $1.00
Then there was a lot of 50 GOING IN STYLE double sided theatrical movie posters with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin.
Got that for a $1. too.
It was gonna be like that.
So then I was "since I'm driving an hour to pick up these two lots I might as bid on more..."
and I went a little crazy and won 14 more lots for 1-4 bucks each.
Spent $61 total, including buyers premium and sales tax.

Got 1200+ DVD's and BluRays and the other two lots above.
Came out to 4.5 cents each all said and done.

Got the Godzilla blurays, Hangover 3, Wrath of the Titans, a couple of Matthew McConaughey movies, Fred Claus, a Halloween horror film and more.
14 different titles.
Brand new in the cases

I now have the lowest prices for these titles on eBay and bulk discounts offered.
Several sales already have paid for half of it all after shipping and fees so this is going to work out nicely
And I put a bunch of DVDs for $2 each in my antique mall booth for stocking stuffer holiday deals.
The photo albums are there too for $5.95 each.

Yeah, the storage unit is filling up but if you ever need 50 copies of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone starring Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, I'm your guy.

the even better news is they said Warner Brothers is going to send over more stuff later this month.

There's this auction house near me that liquidates entire estates, businesses, and extra stock

from Los Angeles area companies including the movie studios.
Warner Brothers cleaned out an old closet or something and sent them a bunch of stuff including pallets of DVDs that I avoided but I scored a few cool things and am now The King of Deals:

* a lot of 26 brand new ties of Bandit from the Johnny Quest cartoon that were made exclusively for the Hanna Barbera Employee Store in 1994. They were all still their original packaging.
Got em for a buck a piece. Sold the first one on eBay today for $45.

* a lot of 170 new in their packages plastic "ice cubes" that glow green when you drop them in water. They have The Matrix Reloaded logo on them and apparently were used at the Matrix reloaded movie premiere party
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363605682145

* a box of Johnny Depp Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Fridge Magnets $9.38 - there were 3 styles and a total of 360 magnets, for a grand .02 cents each
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363605049502

* 7 crew/promo hats from the Chadwick Boseman movie 42 about Jackie Robinson, $1.10 each
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363605089881

* 27 of an interesting companion book of fiction and background to the TV series SIX FEET UNDER, retail cover price $30. My cost was .25 cents each
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363605131118

* a piggy bank promoting NIP/TUCK TV series about plastic surgeons on FX from a few years back. only 5 of them but $3 ea.big heavy metal suckers

The only reason McConnell is offering any kind of a deal on debt limit right now

is because he's deathly afraid that this time the Democrats will ACTUALLY take away the filibuster for this issue.
And if it goes away here it will be easier to take it away everywhere permanently later.
Mitch knows this.
That's it.
The only reason.
Mitch needs that filibuster to destroy Democrats and their agendas.

I am sick of people who pick up their cell phone, full of silicon chip technology,

semiconductors, Ethernet connections, Bluetooth capabilities, and Wi-Fi enabled to upload or download data through broadband fiber optic networks and send it to satellites in geosynchronous orbit above the earth that have been placed there by giant rockets, actual fucking rockets, so they can connect to a social media website that is powered by acres of computer servers processing terra gigs of data every second just so they can tweet about how they “don’t believe in science.”

Had to get that off my chest.

As conflicts go this one has been tearing American families apart for too long.

As conflicts go this one has been tearing American families apart for too long. Maybe we can come together and figure out a way that this kind of thing never happens again. But it's finally over and we can move on as a country and start the healing process.
Our long national nightmare is over.

Ed Asner, legendary actor, activist and philanthropist, passed away peacefully Sunday morning

Ed Asner, legendary actor, activist and philanthropist, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, surrounded by family. He was 91.

Asner, former president of the Screen Actors Guild, is best known for his role as Lou Grant during the 1970s and early 1980s, on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spinoff series Lou Grant, making him one of the few television actors to portray the same character in both a comedy and a drama.

He is the most awarded male performer in Emmy history with seven wins — five of them for playing Lou Grant.

Asner’s long list of credits also include the movies Elf, one of several movies in which he played Santa Claus, and Pixar’s Oscar-winning Up, in which he voiced the lead, Carl Fredricksen. He was most recently seen on the Emmy-nominated comedy series Cobra Kai.

If Joe Biden personally put out a fire and saved a Republican's house...

they'd complain about it, " It's HOW he put out the fire that's the disaster. He left water and charred wood all over the place. That wouldn't have happened if Trump saved my house."

and that's why I'm not watching any TV news for a while.

Mike Richards steps down as 'Jeopardy!' host in wake of resurfaced offensive comments

Mike Richards is stepping down as host of “Jeopardy!” effective immediately, he confirmed Friday morning.
Richards, the show’s executive producer who was just named as Alex Trebek’s replacement on the iconic game show, came under fire after the Ringer published an in-depth report that revealed he made disparaging remarks about women, Jewish people and Haiti.
“I was deeply honored to be asked to host the syndicated show and was thrilled by the opportunity to expand my role” Richards wrote in a note to his staff Friday. “However, over the last several days it has become clear that moving forward as host would be too much of a distraction for our fans and not the right move for the show. As such, I will be stepping down as host effective immediately. As a result, we will be canceling production today.”
He said that Sony Pictures Television “will now resume the search for a permanent syndicated host.”

About ZonkerHarris

Nixon was a fucking crook. As a teenager I marched on the UN in 1982 with a million other people demanding we get rid of the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over our heads. Since then I've worked to get Democrats elected like John Aristotle Phillips, known as the A-Bomb Kid when he ran for Congress against Stuart McKinney in CT in the 80's (we lost twice) through the Obama campaign in 2008 and 2012. I want to legalize cannabis, reform our prison for profit system, cut our military budget, get out of Afghanistan and push solar energy panels into every building in the USA.
