I have found myself in a situation I haven't been in for a while.

One of my neighbors seem to be showing interest in me.

I've been burned so many times that I'm a piece of toast. So I'm not really in the market for romance. I'm keeping my distance, but he is showing signs of being the patience and persistent type.

I don't know what he sees that he likes. I'm like a beat up old truck anymore. And I really don't know how to handle this. Been thinking about this for the last week, thinking that he was just being neighborly. But he asked me out today. Told him I'll think about it.

Maybe that was a turnoff, but I'll know if he asks me again.

Of all my siblings, I have been able to benefit from it.

Of the four of us, I'm the one with the pale complexion. Unless someone looks hard and know what to look for, I'm just some white chick.

But my siblings haven't been so lucky. My brother shows our Latino blood strong, and has been stopped by cops that wanted to make sure he was a citizen.

One sister shows our Native American blood and has issues with that . Even my baby sister, who shows our Asian blood has stories.

With my skin, and that alone, has kept me out of harm from police and haters. I did have a run in with Border Patrol but luckily the guy was dumb not because of my skin color.

Yet I'm still treated differently than my siblings. We should not be just because of color. It's sicking, and we need to find a way to stop it.

It's just plan wrong.

This feels so liberating. I'm still trying to get use to not worrying about what the leader of our country is doing, or about what damage he is doing. After the four years we went through, this actually fills strange.

Haven't wanted to throw anything at the TV all day. All I'm hearing is what I think is good news.

The wall has been stopped, we are back in the Paris Agreement and a real plan to get a handle on the virus. Oh, and that the Keystone XL pipeline is history!

My baby sister had a heart attact today.

It was brought on by stress.

Here's the party that has got me. She was under a lot of stress as is but Biden taking the outh of office was the cherry on the cake. Sent her right to the hospital.

I got back from my doctor a while back. I stretched out and had the best sleep I've had in a long time.

I know that I slept well because an adult was in charge. I didn't worry that I was going to wake up to WWIII.

A lovely dark brown and wood love seat! And they dropped off a flat screen TV , dishes and cooking stuff!

So I have everything I need for the apartment. It feels like a home. Starting over one more time! Now if we as a country can get ahold of this Pandemic, it'll be great.
