historiocity of jesus

Most modern scholars of antiquity agree that Jesus existed,[5][7][8] but scholars differ on the historicity of specific episodes described in the Biblical accounts,[12] and the only two events subject to "almost universal assent" are that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and was crucified by the order of the Roman Prefect Pontius Pilate.[9][10][11] There is a significant debate about his nature, his actions and his sayings, but most scholars agree that Jesus was a Galilean Jew who was born between 7-4 BC and died 30–36 AD,[13][14][15] that he lived in Galilee and Judea and did not preach or study elsewhere,[16][17][18] and that he spoke Aramaic and perhaps also Hebrew and Greek.[19][20][21]

I thank God everyday for athiests

All the athiests who work to ease the sufferring of others.

Who fight for social justice.

Who believe, like Christ that the poor are oppressed by a capitalist system in which the poor are units of production and not human beings worthy of the same dignity as anyone else.

God bless you - not a dig but a recognition of the work we must do together, motivations aside.

Lets get to work. Lets stop fighting.

what is more important

What we believe or say we believe, or what we do.? Of course I am referring to faith vs works in the Christian tradition but what do non believers and or believers of other faiths think?

war crimes revisited

One of the things that has disappointed me with Pres. Obama has been the lack of accountability on wall street - and I mean obvious maNBCjor felonies they declined to prosecute. As for the obvious war crimes I sort of knew they would never prosecute for many reasons, most I disagreed with but understood the realpolitik behind it.

Ifbthese criminals are now so emboldened to call for investigations of this administration. Said and ministration should be preapred to be forthright and also investigate the hell out of what was to be left in the past regarding the last admin.
