I have a feeling that we are seeing the tip of the iceberg

I mean I think the thing is about to come uncorked. Racist fraternities are about to get some real exposure. Just a feeling.

sniper movies and shit

I saw American Sniper. Good movie, not a great movie. Certainly wasn't some big political statement. And It was nowhere near as good as this, as far as sniper movies go.

regarding godwin and whatnot

Certain people and movements in history do seem to cross some sort of depravity threshold. Pol Pot and piles of skulls come to mind. I think the ISIS loons crossed it for sure with their snuff films and mass beheadings. This thing is not unique but it is rare, though not rare enough.

the thing nobody wants to really talk about. and for good reason

it is so unpleasant. but those motherfuckers have or had an American woman. We may need to brace ourselves for something up until now unthinkable.

Rummy Goes There: Donald Rumsfeld Shows his Colors

Remember back in the heady days of 2002, when everybody thought Donald Rumsfeld was a hunka-hunka burnin' old guy, with his vacant aphorisms and his abysmal ignorance of everything for which he was supposed to be responsible. I mean, there were people getting positively moist over the wrinkly mastermind.

Turns out he's just as much of a soulless, greasy creep as the rest of them were.

Speaking on Fox News, Rumsfeld slammed President Barack Obama over his failure to secure a status of forces agreement with outgoing Afghan President Hamid Karzai that would allow US military forces to remain in Afghanistan beyond 2014. "A trained ape could get a status of forces agreement," Rumsfeld said on Monday, noting that the US had similar arrangements with more than 100 other countries.

Under Donald Rumsfeld's leadership, you may recall, the United States went to two wars with inadequate preparation, and one of them was purely based on lies. He had something cute to say about that. The Afghanistan part of the equation was swiftly forgotten, but not before Rumsfeld's Pentagon had blown a chance to get a hold of Osama bin Laden at Tora Bora. Resources were shifted over to Iraq. He had something cute to say about that, too. Almost 5000 Americans, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died. ISIS was born. And now Donald Rumsfeld, who couldn't manage a toy boat in a washtub, gets to say something cute about the president.

Also, it's not About Race because it never is About Race.

It isn't so much they hate us for our freedoms. They just hate freedom.

Religious fanatics that is. I include in that assessment many fundamentalist Christians who 'want their country back' from we commies and queers and whatnots.

The barbarians on the loose in Paris right now killed cartoonists for exercising their freedom to draw cartoons. They shoot girls in the head for exercising the freedom to go to schools.

Breaking our dependence on fossil fuels and no longer letting the Israel tail wag the US dog is a must. But the fanatical hatred of modernity and freedom we saw in Paris today is the fault of nobody but the violent haters. May their end come soon.

Putin looking pretty puny at 9 dollars a barrel. Obama gets last laugh.

"You'll recall that three or four months ago, everybody in Washington was convinced that President Putin was a genius and he had outmanoeuvred all of us and he had bullied and strategised his way into expanding Russian power," he said.

"Today, I'd sense that at least outside of Russia, maybe some people are thinking what Putin did wasn't so smart."

Mr Obama argued that sanctions had made the Russian economy vulnerable to "inevitable" disruptions in oil price which, when they came, led to "enormous difficulties".

"The big advantage we have with Russia is we've got a dynamic, vital economy, and they don't," he said. "They rely on oil. We rely on oil and iPads and movies and you name it."
