This is the tipping point for the Aramark Rolling Tub of Scandalous...

Unbelievable.....FIRE RICK SNYDER as this is a severe SAFETY and SECURITY issue to the Men and Women in this State working for the Michigan Department of Corrections....

House Democratic Leader Tim Greimel (D-Auburn Hills) and Reps. Brandon Dillon (D-Grand Rapids) and Sam Singh (D-East Lansing) said today that the latest revelation of an Aramark employee trying to contract with one prisoner to kill another prisoner should be the final straw that cancels the Department of Corrections contract with Aramark.

“I feel like a broken record or an extra in `Groundhog Day,’” said Greimel. “What other issues need to come to light before Republicans realize the safety of our state is at risk. I would hope that my Republican House colleagues would agree with me that enough is enough and immediately cancel the contract.”

The latest Aramark employee problem was revealed today in a Detroit Free Press article about a Michigan State Police investigation of an Aramark employee at the Kinross Correctional Facility in the Upper Peninsula asking a prisoner to arrange a hit on another prisoner in a different facility. A prisoner came forward in July saying that the food service worker approached him about arranging the hit. The Aramark worker was banned from the facility but not arrested, and an investigation was started. Now a warrant request has been submitted to the Chippewa County Prosecutor’s Office.

“The problems with Aramark have gotten progressively worse, and now we have a murder for hire plot. If this is the kind of person Aramark hires then not even our prison guards are safe in these facilities,” said Dillon. “They are endangering employees and this is costing the state extra money. Is Aramark going to pay for the state police investigation? I’d be surprised if the state is realizing any of the savings that were supposed to come with this Aramark contract, but savings are irrelevant when you are putting your law-abiding employees in danger. Our guards and other law-abiding workers deserve better. As Leader Greimel said: enough is enough.”

Michigan Gubernatorial Debate Finally, as Gov. Rick Snyder stops duck and dodge of Mark Schauer

Governor Rick Snyder (R) was appearing to be a wee-bit faint hearted on his efforts to dodge any notion of a gubernatorial debate against challenger and former U.S. Congressman, Mark Schauer (D).

Now all the ducking appears to have changed overnight or the polls showing a neck and neck dead even tie or Schauer in the lead by +/- 3% has Snyder changing tactics from the Town Hall Urban City hand-picked audience "listening tour" to a full, real live -- yet only one hour minus question and commercial time, debate.

From M-Live 9/22/14:

Michigan voters will get to see Republican Gov. Rick Snyder and Democratic challenger Mark Schauer share a stage this fall after all.

Both candidates have agreed to participate in a televised town hall on October 12 in Detroit. The hour-long forum is set to begin at 6 p.m. on the campus of Wayne State University.

The Schauer campaign is calling it a debate, while the Snyder campaign is calling it a joint appearance. Either way, voters will see both candidates engage with moderators, an audience of undecided voters and each other.

How Gov. McDonnell's Guility Conviction, Should Spark a Change in Michigan. Will it?

What Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell's (R) Conviction a mix of Corruption, Ethics violations and Bribery charges means?

Michigan needs tighter Governmental Corruption Laws:

1). Skunk-works
2). Andy Dillon working as a "Consultant" for Conway-Mackenzie - Creditor in the Detroit Bankruptcy Case -- after signing off on Detroit' Bankruptcy while working as State TREASURER.
3). How Right to Work for Less was brought and paid for by Dick Devos
4). P.A.4 of 2011,then P.A. 436 of 2012 and who is handing out contracts to whom?
5). Cousin George Snyder in the future Business -- getting paid off OUR tax dollars
6). The Detroit March to Bankruptcy highly questionable Email Chain of Richard Baird.
7). The Educational Achievement Authority --- ALL OF IT. The Deficit Budget, Teach for America "Teachers?", John Convington - The "Chancellor" that booked out of town after one year, the 25% drop off rate of students in one year, failing MEAP/ACT/SAT Scores, recruiting students out of district -- on purpose with data that usually the Michigan Department of Education only has, all while we the taxpayers are paying for this.
8). Nerd Fund
9). Nerd Fund 2 --- The Emails
10). The Aramark Correctional Food Service Contract - Quid per quo? While State Prisoners eat maggots and Aramark is "fined" $250K (The Contact is worth $25 Million).
11). MHSDA Director Scandal costing US thousands of dollars.

Yeah, we need better ethics, corruption and bribery laws in Michigan.

However, you one is African-American and last name Kirkpatrick (the former Mayor of Detroit serving 27 years or so in Federal Prison)....well -- our laws work quite well on the books NOW depending on how much melanin exist in the persons' skin.
