Do the police think that they are gods?

Or the guardians of gods?

I think they see themselves as such.

In the past I have laughed at news of entire court systems losing funding and people got angry because of the general fear that without the cops and the court systems, things will get ugly for normal American citizens.

In light of this
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002705316
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002706367

and this (warning: quite horrible)
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/05/kelly-thomas-video-homeless-man-beaten-as-he-cried-for-help-1.html

and a thousand other cases that have popped up in just the last few months alone, a rational person must ask: are we not headed for much worse if we stay our current course?

What is much worse?

Well, let's start with assuming the cops and courts go away. Worst case scenario: people are mugging and killing each other for resources, with no cops to watch over us.

Now let's look at the reality: the cops routinely don't even bother to respond to thefts. In Oakland, recently, they declined to deal with a hostile intruder in a man's house and the man got killed as a result - they were too busy handling an Occupy protest. The police routinely shoot unarmed people who aren't aggressive, they plant false evidence on people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_evidence#Cases_of_false_evidence), and other transgressions that often go unpunished by the court system. (See: Rodney King.) When the citizenry really start fighting back, we get COINTELPRO and Ruby Ridge. (Really, who here is psycho enough to argue that Vicky Weaver deserved to be shot dead when she was holding a BABY in her arms?)

We have a massive, growing and increasingly privatized prison-industrial complex with arguably the largest prison population in the world outside of China, and an increasingly large number of prisoners doing cheap slave labor that is increasingly replacing paid industrial labor by free people.

We have the NDAA with the indefinite detention clause, a clause which has been denied by many but now finally recognized AND blocked by a Federal judge. We have CERTAINLY not seen the end of this. You can imagine the consequences.

Our government is now involved in the increasing use of EXTRAJUDICIAL aka summary executions of not only pesky evil foreigners, but also American citizens. All based on accusations of terrorism that we will never see any proof of. And we're being told to just drink the purple kool-aid and trust the Government that this was necessary. Oh but they'll NEVER use drones to carry out a summary execution on a U.S. citizen on American soil. Trust them, they're the Government!

We also have the National Security Agency now openly flaunting their use of a global surveillance system which, formerly called ECHELON, was flatly denied as a conspiracy theory decades ago. Think I'm wrong? Then read this. What the NSA used to deny as a conspiracy theory, they all but brag about now. Why? Because the evil terrorists are out to get us and Big Brother is here FOR OUR SAFETY!!!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where all this is leading to: a world where the police are the raiders, terrorists and thugs that we are scared would plague us if they never existed. You just have to spend a day visiting the prison-industrial complex to see the smelly guts of the world of tomorrow for a great number of Americans: for them, it's here today. For you, it could be here tomorrow morning, literally, if you do so much as catch a police officer on film.

And you cannot hate these thugs because to hate them is to be a psychotic demon. Because, despite all of what they do to society, they are gods, or the guardians of the gods. They are part of the new religion of America: the cult of the Blue servants of Robber Baron Capitalism.

What should we do about this? We need to eliminate their sources of funding. We need to replace America's psychopath-dominated police force with a new system of law enforcement. One that, for instance, doesn't come equipped for an all-out war against the American people:

[img][/img]

[img][/img]

[img][/img]

Most importantly, when you are considering the hellish possibility of a world without the police gangs that we have now, consider this also: what kind of world are we creating when we give the police gangs of today A MONOPOLY ON THE USE OF EXTREME ARMORED FORCE?

We need to re-think the concept of law enforcement. Quickly.

Well knock me on the damned floor. Check THIS alert.

I alerted on this post:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1240&pid=95649

Oopsies

Sounds like I could wade through the depths of your intellect without getting the tops of my toes wet.

And this was the jury decision.

At Sat May 19, 2012, 05:14 PM you sent an alert on the following post:

Oopsies
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1240&pid=95649

REASON FOR ALERT:

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. (See <a href="http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=aboutus#communitystandards" target="_blank">Community Standards</a>.)

YOUR COMMENTS:

Chervilant basically called hifiguy an idiot. A clear and obvious personal attack. This attacks the person, not the argument.

JURY RESULTS

A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Sat May 19, 2012, 05:16 PM, and voted 3-3 to LEAVE IT ALONE.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT and said: You can make your point without name-calling.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: I'm going to let this stand, because that's a damn cool insult I hope to use one day.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given

Thank you.

It's bad enough that you get a 3-3 decision to forgive a post where a DUer clearly insults the intelligence of another. Which is kind of odd because I've had posts hidden today for LESS than this.

What makes it worse is this jury response: "I'm going to let this stand, because that's a damn cool insult I hope to use one day." IOW the juror admits it's an insult, which by nature is against the rules, but it's okay, since it's cool.

What was that sig line by one DUer on here? "Sometimes it's not even worth chewing through the restraints." I'm starting to understand that.

So basically I can call someone a fucking idiot, but only as long as I insinuate as *ahem* subtlely *ahem* as this?
May 19, 2012

To all the Dems out there who are sick of President Obama, I think I get it.

You're not interested in voting for him because of the NDAA (in which the indefinite detention section has been thrown out by a Federal judge, mind you ), the use of combat drones, and the ever-expanding use of extrajudicial summary executions on pesky brown people who aren't US citizens (wait, no, two of them were, in fact).

You cannot in good conscience vote for a President that so thoroughly violates your principles. You refuse to compromise what you feel is an open and shut case of right vs wrong. I for one do not see 'purist' to be an insult here.

Well, I am sure that many have spoken their pragmatist approach to this, so I'll keep it short: I'm voting for President Obama to prevent even WORSE abominations of civil liberties and further violations of the global cause of human rights, from happening. Mitt Robme is going to have a far larger list of people to subject to summary executions, and I won't vote third party just because I don't want to split the anti-Robme vote.

Grant you, I totally admire your moral consistency. It hurts me to have to take the pragmatist route, even if it would hurt worse to see Robme win and the world go totally to shit with no way of getting back out. At least Obama is going downhill with the foot on the brakes; you may not think he is, at least until you're in Robme's car and he's got his foot burying the accelerator through the floorboard. You will know, under his regime, what "Full Scream Ahead" really means.

I know it's hard for you to do this, but can we all please just support President Obama for now and come back to this in 2016? Then all the pragmatists and purists alike can for once agree: we will ALL fight during the Primary for a liberal candidate that will, among other things, repeal the indefinite detention clause of the NDAA (unless the Supreme Court does), and scale back or put an end to summary executions.

Meanwhile, right now, we can all pledge to fight together, pragmatists and purists, to elect liberal Democrats at the local and statewide level.

I know it won't be easy pushing this message here, considering that a number of purists have been attacked, and a few have had their posts hidden, and some perhaps even PPR'd, because of the maddeningly crazy situation where purism would put you at TOS-level odds with Obama'12. It's maddening because I know you're loyal liberal Democrats who are standing by your beliefs and to stand by your principles is to elect Robme by default. I am not sure if all of my fellow pragmatists understand the pain of compromising your principles to prevent an abomination from entering the White House. (I'm sure some of you understand, but not all.) There's going to be some very bad blood between the purists and pragmatists and I don't know how we can heal that. And asking the purists to go pragmatist for 2012 is an outright slap to their face, I know this.

Somewhere the Devil (or the god of Capitalism, or whatever is the devil in your belief system) is laughing at this incredibly masterful act of divisiveness.

If I were the owner I would outright abolish the post-hiding and PPR'ing of purists, in favor of a case-by-case compromise. Hell, I'm already compromising my views to vote for Obama in 2012 to prevent Robme from winning; might as well compromise on that, too.

May 19, 2012

Is there a cabal of Plutocrats trying to decimate the working class? Yup.

Since I was locked out of my other thread by a jury, I'm going to continue this here. There is a cabal that is working to physically decimate the population of America's working class, and here is the evidence.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabal

A cabal is a group of people united in some close design together, usually to promote their private views and/or interests in a church, state, or other community, often by intrigue.

So first I need to show that there is a group of people united in some close design together.

That's easy. The Koch Brothers are a good example of this. They are united with groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Tea Party. In fact, they bankrolled the Tea Party.

http://chamber.350.org/2011/03/the-us-chamber-and-the-koch-brothers/

Now I need to show that they promote private views in a church, state or other community. That much is easy, Google can help you all day on this if you want to look. Here's one supporting link:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/apr/08/koch-brothers-lobbying

Their agendas are all aligned: a war against American workers (defense of offshoring), and their agenda includes getting rid of the social safety net. Again, the evidence is all over the place.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its war on American workers:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/28/gop-chamber-of-commerce_n_741970.html

Koch brothers versus health care reform:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-greenwald-and-jesse-lava/koch-brothers-v-health-ca_b_1380731.html

Koch brothers and outsourcing American jobs:
http://www.kansasfreepress.com/2011/06/koch-brothers-outsourcing-jobs.html

Kich brothers and their opposition to the social safety net:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_H._Koch
Koch was the Libertarian Party's vice-presidential candidate in the 1980 presidential election, sharing the party ticket with presidential candidate Ed Clark. The Clark–Koch ticket promising to abolish Social Security, the Federal Reserve Board, welfare, minimum-wage laws, corporate taxes, all price supports and subsidies for agriculture and business, and U.S. Federal agencies including the SEC, EPA, ICC, FTC, OSHA, FBI, CIA, and DOE.

Now I need to show the intrigue. That's a crafty and involved plot to achieve one's ends. I might also, for extra credit, show that said group - defined above - is actually conspiring to subvert the democratic process and run America without any accountability to the American people.

Well, that much is glaringly obvious when you read up on how much money and influence the Koch Brothers wield against Congress... especially the GOP. Again, evidence on that is not all that hard to find:
http://articles.latimes.com/2011/feb/06/nation/la-na-koch-brothers-20110206

Are they accountable to the American people? Nope. Your opinion doesn't sway them. You can vote the GOP out and these people will simply attempt to buy Democrats with their money and power: particularly, the Blue Dogs. And lo and behold, the Koch Brothers have already had their hands in the DLC's cookie jar:
http://www.americablog.com/2010/08/koch-industries-gave-funding-to-dlc-and.html

Aside from the necessary elements of a cabal, there are other popular traits that are associated with them, too, such as meeting in secret. The Koch Brothers meet that requirement, too!

http://www.alternet.org/story/153998/koch_brothers_convene_super-secret_billionaires'_meeting_for_2012_elections/

They also fund climate change denial groups on the down low:
http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/en/campaigns/global-warming-and-energy/polluterwatch/koch-industries/

But the most popularly known example is their attempts to secretly fund the Tea Party, a fact that got made public, much to their chagrin.

Mind you, I can name plenty of other billionaires and right wing organizations who are in cahoots with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Koch brothers, and cite their behavior and their pursuit of a very common goal, all of which fits the definition of a cabal, but really, do we want to destroy the DU's bandwidth that way? And many people won't even read THIS much text, much less all the other evidence I'd be posting in the course of such a long expose'.

It's a cabal. All the necessary conditions for a cabal have been shown and met. This cabal has vast influence and power over Congress and their power completely circumvents our power as voters. It can even be argued, quite logically, that the entire campaign contribution system itself is a BREEDING GROUND for cabals.

Now, is this cabal trying to physically decimate the working class population? Well, let's look at the mechanics of what is happening.

The Koch Brothers and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (mind you, as I said, there are more groups doing this besides just these examples, but I'm trying to save you some bandwidth and reading time) have been known to vigorously fight for sending American jobs overseas, even overriding the votes and will of the American people by going directly to Congress with their money and influence. They are known to come right back and fight against health care reform and also welfare and social safety net laws. I've documented this much up above.

So let's follow the inevitable consequences of their efforts. One, your job leaves the country and you are unemployed. Two, your unemployment benefits are cut off at 26 weeks, while your job search will probably take 2 years; which is 104 weeks (this is true for millions of Americans, in fact). Three, when your benefits run out and you need welfare to eat, the aforementioned cabal wants there to be no welfare, so now you need to go to a soup kitchen. Meanwhile you're also homeless. The soup kitchens, as we know, are overrun. There's plenty of news about the soup kitchens: http://www.sanduskyregister.com/sandusky/2010/jul/06/soup-kitchen-overrun-hungry-unemployed?similar

Who here doesn't know about the spread of drug-resistant tuberculosis among the homeless? Certainly, the CDC does. This is another risk you face when unemployment renders you homeless. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00019922.htm

Is homeless going up? Yup. http://www.mainstreet.com/article/moneyinvesting/news/hunger-homelessness-increase-nationwide

It would be downright crazy to deny that this is a clear and classic case of proximate and ultimate cause. In short: the act of beating back welfare and defending the deprivation of jobs by sending them out of the country, plus fighting health care reform, sets off a very common chain of events that leads to a LOT of people suffering, and a number of them dying.

Now I must explain how this amounts to said cabal CONSPIRING to cause suffering and death on a large scale as to intentionally decimate the population of America's working class. Because according to Occam's Razor, this could simply be called sheer negligence on the part of the Plutocracy.

This is where logic invalidates Occam's Razor.

If you go driving through a neighborhood in a Hummer and you hit 5 schoolkids, killing 1, and you keep on driving, what is that? Homicide, vehicular manslaughter, all that stuff. You go to court and you fight it, you lose and pay the fine and do the time, or you win and go off scot-free. Negligence and a bit of sociopathy, too, right? Still not intentional mass slaughter.

But now let's say you do it again. And again. And again. 2 kids die in the next incident, then the incident after that you kill 1, then 3, then 5 survive but with bad injuries, then 2 deaths, etc. Each time you go to court and fight it, until you decide, fuck it, let's just buy off the judge and threaten the jury with moving your jobs out of the area and making the whole city unemployed. Now everyone backs off, and you're free to run over schoolkids at will.

At what point, after you just keep doing this, does it become PREMEDITATED MURDER? At what point does said town realize that this Hummer-driving madman is running over schoolkids for the lulz? How long does the mere negligence argument hold?

How many times does Occam's Razor have to get used until its blade becomes blunt and useless?

This is what that aforementioned cabal is doing to the working class: they're pulling out the entire world from beneath the working class and at some point

Now, we get around to understanding why President Barack Obama said that the Republicans will usher in an age of social Darwinism.

President Obama is a Harvard educated lawyer. He doesn't use hyperbole. His words are precise and intended to be on the mark.

Social Darwinism is a philosophy that says we must cull the weak and useless for the species/society/etc. to remain strong. The very concept of social Darwinism calls for mass exterminations.

President Obama would not call the Republicans social Darwinists unless he also saw their oft-oft-oft-repeated pattern of running over the working class despite having been shown the consequences of doing such.

Is it any coincidence that we've been told, publicly, that a global economic collapse, resource crash and population crash are due to happen by 2030?
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/next-great-depression-mit-researchers-predict-global-economic-190352944.html

Is it any wonder why a collapse is happening RIGHT NOW, in the form of a very slow decimation of the world's working class? It's not like we haven't talked about this on the DU before.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002639524
Every once and awhile I'll be listening to a podcast with one or the other writers specializing on the subject of Peak Oil or collapse and the subject of timetables will come up. When will the collapse finally be here, the callers ask insistently, almost pleadingly, so that they can finally justify their investments in freeze-dried foods, water purification tablets and solid gold coins. Inevitably the guest will demur, and speak more in general terms. But I'm going to be the first pundit to go out on the limb and assign a timeline for the collapse. Spread it far and wide, and let's see just how good my predictive powers are. Are you ready? Here it is: Right now.

What do they think a collapse is supposed to look like? It seems people just cannot just cannot get past the "Zombie Apocalypse" theory of collapse. They imagine hordes of disease-ridden folks dressed in rags stumbling around and fighting over cans of petrol and stripping cans of food from shelves. That's not what collapse looks like. It never has been. In fact, there's very little evidence that a Zombie Apocalypse style collapse ever occurred in the historical record. Instead we see subtle patterns of abandonment and decay that unfold over long periods of time. Big projects stop. Population thins. Trade routes shrink and people revert to barter. Things get simpler and more local. Culture coarsens. High art stagnates. People disperse. Expectations are adjusted downward. Investments are no longer made in the future and previous investments are cannibalized just to maintain the status quo. Extend and pretend is hardly a recent invention. And I remembered a comment I heard from Dmitry Orlov in an interview about how much of his high school class were now dead. Yet there were no headlines and there was never any official crisis or emergency. They did not die in gunfights over scraps of food like in The Road. Rather, more quotidian things like alcoholism, unemployment, suicide, homelessness, exposure, lack of medications and ordinary sicknesses like bronchitis and pneumonia took their lives.

Do you think that the Plutocrats will experience any kind of crisis? Nope. The crisis is for the rest of the 99%, not them; and it is entirely by design.

This is why it is NOT a conspiracy theory to say that there are a group of people of great wealth and power who are in fact conspiring to do a mass culling of the working class, and that mass culling is happening right now. Slowly, just like I said in the other thread.

The means, the motive and the weapon have all been laid out right here.
May 19, 2012

Okay, would this not sicken you?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=704261

Face it. Historically, the global economy was NEVER stronger than right after the Black Plague decimated Europe. Not only did everyone have jobs, but the labor shortage meant that wages got bid up and the standard of living skyrocketed.

Unemployment is mother nature's way of handling overpopulation.

The problem is not that the jobs were outsourced. That only changed who lives and where they die. It doesn't cause an increase in the global death rate. Moving jobs from country A to country B just moves some of the poverty of country B into country A. India gets some of our jobs and in exchange we get some of their poverty. There's no free lunch and the scales MUST balance.

From a global perspective, globalization and outsourcing simply means that Americans lose some of their economic privilege and have to share it more equitably around the world. The world is overpopulated, and SOMEBODY is going to die. A LOT of somebodies are going to die. We complain about globalization because we want the ones who die to be the little brown people in countries were they talk funny, NOT right here the good old privileged US of A. Our role has traditionally been that of exploiter of the world's poor. We are outraged at the thought that we might have to become part of the world's poor.

But faced with the choice of continuing to exploit the world's poor, or to join the world's poor, of course we want to preserve our privileged status.

The jist: the Black Plague was great for population control, and so is mass unemployment. America must become poorer so that the rest of the world can become better.* Brown people in America must STAY POOR and destitute so brown people elsewhere can have jobs.

I can't believe that this is acceptable on the DU. If this doesn't reek of social Darwinism then what the fuck does??? Do we really need 'Democrats' who say that people need to die from unemployment and disease in order to save Mother Earth???

* Never mind that we're also exploiting the poor with globalism; as one response pointed out.

Degrees of Separation of Culpability. How the Plutocrats are carrying out a global mass slaughter.

WARNING: this ventures into tl;dr, but I feel it's REALLY worth it.

Okay, first a history lesson.

In Nazi Germany, the concept of social Darwinism blossomed into outright eugenic slaughter. Jewish people, the disabled and others, were rounded up into concentration camps and slaughtered in a gruesomely orderly fashion.

In terms of culpability, Hitler was directly connected to this mass slaughter. He had zero degrees of separation of culpability.

Now let's fast forward to today.

Jobs leave America and Europe and go overseas to India and China. There is an ongoing war against welfare benefits, living wage proposals, financial support for the unemployed, health care for the poor, and even a war to rollback the most basic workplace safety protections. Who is behind this? The Republicans and blue dog Democrats. Behind them? The Plutocracy, such as minions like Mitt Romney and leaders like the Koch brothers. (Romney is a mere minion; unlike the Koch brothers, he isn't worth enough to make it onto the boat when the world ends [a joke, folks; see the movie 2012].)

Now let's look at what happens when the Plutocracy actually gets their way.

1) You're laid off and your job leaves the country to China, India or Mexico.
2) You go on unemployment and start looking for work.
3) You can't find ANY job for the next 2 years because there are 5 people competing against you for every job opening. Some jobs you go to and there are up to a thousand people competing for it.
4) Your unemployment benefits cut off at 26 weeks if the Plutocrats get their way. So for 78 weeks of that 2 years you are getting nothing at all.
5) With no money coming in, you turn to welfare. Sorry, that has been cut by the Plutocrats. Now you have to turn to the soup kitchens. Meanwhile, you are now getting behind on your rent.
6) At about 34 weeks you're evicted and now you're homeless. The soup kitchens have become overburdened because there are an increasingly large number of people in the same shoes as you.
7) It's 40 weeks. For you, there is now a food shortage. You face malnourishment, and also winter has arrived; the shelters are overloaded, so you spend a lot of time out on the street, with no access to a shower. The clothes you took out of your old apartment are getting worn and you have no place to wash them, either. Your job hunt has ground to a halt because employers can smell you coming from down the street. You have no home address and no contact phone.
8) 52 weeks. The hard winter is constantly making you sick, PLUS among the homeless community a drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis has been spreading, and now it has reached you. You have no health insurance so your only hope is the emergency room, where you risk spreading your sickness to other poor people, endangering many lives at once.
9) 78 weeks. You are either dead from malnourishment and tuberculosis, from winter exposure, or being killed by some psychopath teenager who thought it was funny to beat you to death.

Or you have survived, and a genie has come and conjured up a job for you that pays less than what you earned before, you find a place to live, and you slowly pick yourself back up.

The Plutocracy runs the numbers on this. So many of people in your shoes die quietly, and so many others survive. The cycle of outsourcing American jobs repeats itself and many more either die or survive. Slowly, but surely, attrition cuts down on the numbers of what the Plutocracy has judged to be "useless eaters".

So let's take a look at the degrees of separation of culpability here.
1) Send jobs out of the country. Create a shortage of jobs.
2) Cut welfare and the social safety net.
3) People wither off the vine and die.

I'd say that's about 2 degrees of separation there. That means that as a Plutocrat you can say "I didn't cause them to die. I didn't go out there and kill them. They died because they were weak and unfit and they could not adapt to the economy."

There are other factors that help the Plutocracy here. Such as working class Americans fighting each other and sometimes killing each other in acts of robbery, gang wars, homophobia, troops with PTSD going on shooting rampages, destitute parents killing their kids when they can no longer provide for them, all kinds of miscellaneous things. Plutocrats also count on workers dying in the workplace (factories, mines, etc.) or getting sick and dying (asbestos, mesothelioma, etc.). And of course if one or two working class Americans decides to wage a direct war of aggression on the Plutocrats, say, a dying cancer patient trying to assassinate a CEO, killing them would be "self defense" because while the CEO is at least 2 degrees separated from culpability over this patient's imminent death (due to refusing them coverage), the would-be assassin is directly culpable for the assassination attempt. It's not hard, then, to turn the public against them.

Slick, folks, very slick. But how is this possible?

Well, who here has played pool? It's like that. Allow me to use an analogy here, I'm gonna go way out on a limb but I believe my logic is quite solid. The working class are the colored balls and the pockets are their graves. The Plutocrats don't knock the balls into the pockets by hitting the balls themselves; you use the cue ball. The metaphorical cue ball keeps you and your pool stick from being directly culpable. The working class assassin mentioned above, meanwhile, has committed the fatal error of 1) declaring a Plutocrat to be a pool ball; and 2) using his pool stick to hit him directly. Hitler also made this mistake, on a grand scale. This analogy actually turns ironic when the economy takes the pool stick, hits the cue ball, and drives the Plutocrat 8 ball into the pocket with a market crash. (See: financially ruined bankers jumping off of bridges.) THAT might have happened if there had not been any bailouts for the bankers in 2008.

But, you see, the Plutocrats have rigged it so that they're never a ball on the pool table. Their skin is not in the game. They've got it rigged so they always hold the pool stick and they never hit a working class ball into the pocket/grave directly. The cue ball is the economy which they manipulate as a method of culling people on the sly.

The world has been brainwashed into believing that death comes from the cue ball, the "invisible hand", the economy and its natural evolution. It's simply too preposterous to believe that the killing blow actually came from Plutocrat wielding the pool stick. The balls on the field are too busy banging into one another and waging war on one another to see the stick, or the demon who's holding it.

Hitler was crude; real gentlemen Plutocrats, however, play by the rules; by the cue and the stick. Thus they keep their hands clean when people start dying. But the end is still the same. Gas chambers or disease and starvation, dead is still dead. Was Nazi Germany faster about getting rid of their undesirables? Yes. But the Plutocracy is driving the world toward a major resource crash and environmental crisis which will precipitate a population crash as well; a catastrophe for the 99%, but absolutely no such thing for the Plutocrats who will be living in comfort and ease behind their troops and high walls while all this goes down.

Hitler was too fast and too direct. The Plutocracy is slow, methodical, and they keep their hands at least two degrees of separation from the inevitable consequences of their behavior.

Do I sound crazy? Yup. But I ain't selling anything except awareness. From now on I guarantee that when you watch these Conservatives, Blue Dogs and Libertarians in action, nothing will surprise or shock you anymore. You might even be able to use this to predict what they'll do next. Questions like "Why don't they care?" will come across as silly to you because as you observe these politicians and Plutocrats in the future you'll see everything they do is consistent with what I'm saying. You'll know it's not that they don't care - it's that they want to drastically reduce the numbers of the 99%. They see them as useless eaters worthy of extermination. Yes, I said it: extermination, by 2 or more degrees of separation of culpability. You can set all non-Leftist political clocks by what I've said.

India is crashing their own currency to take jobs from other nations.

The Rupee is falling, and it's being blamed on poor data from the U.S. and instability in the Euro Zone.

THE U.S. AND THE EURO ZONE. Seriously? And the Wall Street Journal is asking us to swallow that horseshit without so much as some hamburger buns to go with it.

Wrong. It's because the DOLLAR has been falling against the Rupee and as a result the outsourcing to India of high-paying tech jobs, and other jobs, has been slowing down fast. With the Rupee falling against the dollar, guess what: that tide can now be reversed.

The dollar is skyrocketing against the Rupee. The reason is not our weak economy. It's because of competitive devaluation.

America could use some competitive devaluation, aka a QE with a power level set at 9 effing thousand. We could inflate away our foreign-held debt (read: CHINA) and get the job-massacring foreign outsourcing King Kong off our backs at the same time.

Yeah yeah, I know, inflation is bad. But it's already killing us, slowly. Whatever you fear will happen, pretty much already is, in slow motion. Wages haven't been keeping up with inflation for decades, to say nothing of productivity.

Anyone who is afraid of a QE9000 situation, take a look at what has ALREADY happened to Canada - and, similarly, to America:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-investor/personal-finance/2012-vs-1984-young-adults-really-do-have-it-harder-today/article2425558/

In 1984 a house was 1.6 times a family's income; now it's 6 times as high. And housing isn't the only thing that has risen relatively against wages: food, gasoline, practically all the basics. Again, it's similarly as bad in America. And skyrocketing oil prices? Do we really need to go back and talk about the need to lose our addiction to oil ON THE DU??? Skyrocketing oil prices will utterly force an alternative energy revolution.

QE9000 would stop offshoring dead in its tracks, kill the trade deficit, and perhaps even turn America into a net exporter. That's a hell of a lot of jobs. At the very least when your currency is greatly devalued it's next to impossible to offshore jobs. If the dollar devalues rapidly, it's impossible for other nations who peg their currency to us, to keep pegging; it would obliterate their economy. We could win that game of chicken, easily.

Argentina inflated their currency to great success (the 1998-2002 crisis from which a recovery started in 2003), and as a result they enjoyed huge trade surpluses, even with China. Even now Argentina pegs their currency to the dollar at a 3 to 1 ratio. China's entire empire has been built upon this strategy. Now India is following suit.

Industrialized nation + devalued currency = huge trade surplus + lots of new jobs.

India is playing that formula.

When America decides to play it, it will look like this:
Industrialized nation + devalued currency + ultra productive workforce + top colleges = monster trade surplus + lots AND LOTS of new jobs.

Wait, the Derivatives market is worth $1,200 TRILLION dollars???

That's 20 times the world's GDP. Wow, Sauron has been pretty gosh darned busy conjuring up all that imaginary money. Who's going to cover this mess if it goes belly-up?

On a side note: I'm going to have to go back to economics class just to understand some of what is being said here.

Big Risk: $1.2 Quadrillion Derivatives Market Dwarfs World GDP

One of the biggest risks to the world's financial health is the $1.2 quadrillion derivatives market. It's complex, it's unregulated, and it ought to be of concern to world leaders that its notional value is 20 times the size of the world economy. But traders rule the roost -- and as much as risk managers and regulators might want to limit that risk, they lack the power or knowledge to do so.

A quadrillion is a big number: 1,000 times a trillion. Yet according to one of the world's leading derivatives experts, Paul Wilmott, who holds a doctorate in applied mathematics from Oxford University (and whose speaking voice sounds eerily like John Lennon's), $1.2 quadrillion is the so-called notional value of the worldwide derivatives market. To put that in perspective, the world's annual gross domestic product is between $50 trillion and $60 trillion.

Singapore, it seems, doesn't tax capital gains.

Anyone want to guess how long it'll be before this sinks Singapore, once the rich realize they can go there and live off the people without contributing a dime?
