Barack Obama Is Leading the War on *ROFL* Women *ROTFLMAO*

And up is down, and night is day, and vegans eat veal.

Everyone stand on your heads now.

I was out counter-protesting the Tea Party in 2009 and 2010.

I knew what was at stake when they went to war against the Public Option, so I met them nose to nose when they came to my area.

What I will never understand is... why weren't very many others out there facing them down, here or in D.C.?

Haven't we learned yet that the American voters lose respect for causes that don't draw big turnouts? The GOP and the Tea Party won big in 2010 because they got out into the streets, in force.

America likes boldness, they go for a big presence. Where was ours in 2009-2010? Where is ours now? Why is most of the party letting Occupy Wall Street do our work for us? We should lend them our numbers and keep coming until the police realize they simply don't have enough cops or jails to deal with our anger. Whatever happened to the 1960s?

Here's that law enforcement system we so desperately want to preserve, serving America again.

Watch the video. The cops apparently stormed her like a SWAT team.

Texas mother fined for profanity in a park
Fri, Jul 13, 2012 - Odd News 1:53 | 76,652 views

Kristy Dugray, a 34-year-old mother in Grapevine, Texas was ticketed by police at a local water park for kids, when she used profane language. She and another mother were having an argument public enough that the police were called to the scene. After talking to witnesses, the police issued Dugray and her acquaintance a ticket for disorderly conduct. She plans to fight her ticket in court, but promises to watch what she says from now on.

Ralph Lauren says their 2014 Olympic uniforms are going to be Made in the USA?

Is that what I'm hearing?

Wow, this has got to hurt the free trade crowd. Soon as we anti-offshoring people crack the whip, shit gets whipped into line quick.

We need a bigger whip, and more of them, for the rest of these outsourcers.

Okay, I just replaced a broken house fan. What to do?

I never paid e-waste recycling fees for house fans, but there's a ton of stuff in these things that can be recycled instead of thrown in the trash, so I'm not interested in throwing these in the trash.

Anyone have ideas where you can take this stuff where it won't clutter a house but it won't end up in a landfill?

The Internet: Bite down on something hard, users, this one's gonna hurt.

You know how the courts will rule on this one, at least if it goes to the Supreme Court.

Verizon Wireless wants to 'edit' your Internet access

Here's a novel idea: Claim the First Amendment gives a carrier the right to pick and choose what you connect to via the Internet.

What if your wireless provider gave you Internet access and search results according to what it decided was a "priority"?

As a Verizon Wireless customer, I'm furious at the idea that it would "pick favorites" over what I was actually looking for -- especially if it was an emergency.

But that's just what Verizon is fighting in court to do right now. Verizon has filed a brief (Verizon vs. FCC) with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit for the "freedom" to edit your Internet, dear customer.

If you think this would remain a Verizon issue, think again. If Verizon gatecrashes Internet access filtering, you better bet that other ISPs will hustle to get on the train to sell Internet "priority" spots to the highest bidders.

So let me get this straight about offshoring American jobs...

Hiring Americans makes things more expensive and hurts America?

Yet throwing millions of Americans out of work to hunt for an ever-shrinking pool of jobs that on the whole pay less than before, in an economy where the cost of living keeps going up, is supposed to help America?

Discriminating against Americans in the global job market is supposed to help America?

Yeah, I know, free traders have no way to explain that nuttiness.

Next time you catch a free trader spouting their pro-offshoring nonsense - if one will ever show their face nowadays - you might want to ask them about this.

Why we would be starving right now if we were a Libertarian nation

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/us-natural-disaster-area-drought-150130308.html

U.S. declares drought-stricken states largest natural disaster area ever

The United States Department of Agriculture has declared natural disaster areas in more than 1,000 counties and 26 drought-stricken states, making it the largest natural disaster in America ever.

The declaration—which covers roughly half of the country—gives farmers and ranchers devastated by drought access to federal aid, including low-interest emergency loans.

"Agriculture remains a bright spot in our nation's economy," U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Wednesday while announcing the assistance program. "We need to be cognizant of the fact that drought and weather conditions have severely impacted farmers around the country."

If we were a Libertarian nation, we would not be giving any kind of federal aid to farmers. They would be left to fend for themselves.

The rest, you can pretty much figure out.

This apartment will be considered opulence for the working class by 2050

http://shine.yahoo.com/decorating/couple-lives-240-square-foot-apartment-213500626.html

How a Couple Lives in a 240-square-foot Apartment

While most people dream of having more space and complain about being overwhelmed by clutter, one Brooklyn couple has found a way to live comfortably in just 240 square feet -- a space smaller than a one-car garage.

Related: NYC asks developers to test out tiny "micro-unit" apartments

Writer and photographer Erin Boyle, 28, and her fiance, biologist James Casey, 30, share a 240-square-foot apartment in Brooklyn Heights, which they described to the New York Post as "dungeon-esque."

"Our last apartment was in Providence, Rhode Island," Boyle told Yahoo! Shine in an interview. "It was probably around 1,000 square feet, though I admit, I never took a tape measure to it."

They moved to Brooklyn in June 2011, and their main living space -- which includes their kitchen, dining table, and living room -- is a mere 140 square feet. The $1,500-a-month studio also has tiny bathroom off to one side, a 4-square-foot closet in the hallway, and a sleeping loft built over the kitchen; a curtained-off closet is tucked beneath the steep staircase to the 10-by-6-and-a-half-foot loft, which is barely big enough for a double bed and a single dresser and impossible to stand upright in.

What do you do with a viper in your house that's hissing at you?

Do you

try to reason with it
play with it
accommodate it in your house?

Catch and release at the zoo?

I'm of the "catch and release at the zoo, if possible" mindset. It all depends on what I have at my disposal. However, in no way would I try to reason with or accommodate a viper. It is a dangerous animal that will eventually come out and bite you when you pass by. It will also try to bite and kill and/or eat your pets if they're small enough. It will never, ever NOT be a threat to you.

Republicans are rapidly turning into vipers. People who play nice with them will get bit. When they come into your town they will destroy your way of life, and I'm not talking about petty aspects of your way of life. Just ask the innocent people of Colorado who voted for increased firefighter funding but who were overridden by Conservative vipers. The end result was utterly tragic and downright avoidable.

Remember the lesson of Colorado: if you let the vipers move in, you will get bit.
