My beautiful, brave, brilliant granddaughter is 8 years old. A month ago she and her little brother braved the wilds of the local pharmacy and took their first COVID vaccine. She was scared, tearful, but willing. After the vaccine, she went around the Walgreens and informed every customer in the store that she was no longer afraid of shots, but now LIKED shots. This is her today after receiving the second COVID shot AND her flu vaccine.

Beto came close to kicking' Teddy C-ruz's ass. What would happen if instead of liberals bashing Texas, they just started moving here in droves? Bringing their liberal friends and family --maybe having some kids. Property prices are pretty reasonable in Texas and no state income tax. Some of the schools are actually excellent. Just think what an influx of libs could do this state. Could be a great contribution to democracy and it wouldn't be so lonely for the rest of us red state libs. Just think...if Texas turned blue. OH! What we could do! There goes the electoral college right wingers!

Five and eight years old, they both threw a wall-eyed fit going into the pharmacy, but after they received the vaccine and realized it was no biggie, they decided they now like shots and they were sure to let everyone in the entire store know about their change of heart. The eight year old said having the shot makes her feel "free". I felt that same freeing relief when I got my vaccine. So proud of my babies!!

Rabid anti-vaxxer, Trump supporter, and previously very healthy man. Now my god child doesn't have a dad. Stupid, stupid, stupid! They are all heart-broken. I'm just getting angrier. How much death will it take to convince them?

I just feel all beat up these days. I'm tired of it all. I'm tired of the anti-vaxxers, the maskless morons, the dumbasses who will take toxic horse wormer instead of a free vaccine, the people who are so staunchly devoted to their ignorance that the entire nation is at risk of losing Democracy and the war against Covid. I also am exhausted from wearing the mask and lately we're having to wear N95s and gowns and shields again. When will it ever end? I'm so exhausted from it all. I cannot listen to another problem, be an ear to anyone. Even my sense of humor and my bitch skills seem broken these days. I just have nothing to give. I'm worn out.

I'm going to try to bury myself in artwork for a while to give myself a break. Too burnt out for anything.

We no longer have to ask if folks are Trump supporters or not. There is an excellent chance they are Trump supporters if they don’t get the Covid vaccine.

…that comes with a bad case of Covid. People are selfish. They feel physically invincible, they’re not worried about Covid killing them. They simply can’t imagine that. But the financial devastation really should get their attention. Covid bankrupts families. They will never pay off the medical bills if they get a bad case or if they give it to their kids or relatives…they risk not only their health, but their financial security/future. We should stress this very important reality when we get the chance.
