The Zimmerman case has gone to the Jury...
The man started a fight, lost, and then shot an unarmed child.
Second degree murder- 25 to life is what he deserves.
Let the DU food fight begin!!
That is all.

Firefox users: A quick question...

I just received a notice for a browser update to Firefox 22.0.
It seems to me that as soon as my browser starts behaving properly, Mozilla comes out with an update. I go ahead with the update and Firefox starts acting hinky. Anyone else notice this? This time I'm holding off on the update because it invariably causes my add ons to shut off or the browser starts to hang. Anyone else notice this?

Oh, and to all DUers, Enjoy a safe and fun Independence Day. Hope nobody's stuck at work. Get outside and enjoy the day! Catch a movie tomorrow.
And don't forget the sunscreen!

ETA: gotta go to Home Depot for some stuff. Back in a bit.

What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done on the job?

I was wiring the light switch at the new spa at the Luxor in Las Vegas. When I flipped the switch, all the toilets in the restrooms flushed.

DOH!

Come on, fess up. Let's hear 'em

Ever gone theater hopping?

Today's forecast: is calling for rain and thunda. It's definitely a stay inside day, so I'm going to hit the multi-plex with 26 screens. There are several movies out right now that I've been wanting to see and with a little planning I can catch them one after the other. And all at matinee prices.
My list for this morning:
1. Now You See Me @ 10:35
2. Star Trek @ 12:55
3. After Earth @ 3:40
I just have to remember to go out and buy the ticket for each show. Sometimes I forget and end up only spending $9.00 for three movies.
Of course there's the $127.00 I need for the concessions.
This is my answer to a rainy day off.

Lord grant me the foresight...

to remember that the toes I step on today may be attached to the ass I have to kiss tomorrow.

I've been having the same trouble

My read post aren't changing color like they used to. Been happening since around last Thursday. I haven't made any changes to my browser settings(Firefox 21.0) or my preferences in DU. If this is a new feature on DU count me in as hating it.

Happy Memorial Day!

IT'S FRIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDAAYYYYYYYY!

I'm going snorkeling tomorrow in Key Largo. Riding the Water Taxi and bar hopping on Sunday. And the obligatory barbecue on Monday!

Who's with me? I'll cook!

Best Ballgame ever...

So I get a text message yesterday at 4 o'clock: "Wanna go to a Marlins game tonight? Won't cost nothin'." "Well, hell yes!" I replied.
A friend of mine finished processing a loan for an MLB Umpire and he offered him the tickets as a thank you.
So we get to the beautiful new Marlins Ballpark (which I helped build) and we go to the will call window. The tickets gave us access to the Diamond Club which meant a free buffet and free booze until 9 o'clock.
So we stuffed our faces and drank like fish. We finally go to find our seats and they are front row behind home plate!
The tickets also included our own waitress and more free booze!
This was hard to take, huh? Attendance was only about 15,000 so it was pretty intimate. It was also my first time back to the park since I was building it and what a welcome back!
The Marlins lost to the Phillies but I didn't care.
What a great night and a great ballpark.

Just wanted to share.
