If the economy was doing terrible

Instead good, trump would be blaming Obama.

Same thing goes with the success with ISIS, if it wasn’t going well he’d blame Obama.

I agree with everything you said

And would have expanded upon that in my OP, but I didn’t want my post to be too long, lol

Trumps presidency was inevitable

It started in the late 80’s/early 90’s with rush Limbaugh spreading his hate and lies on the radio. Finally, these Deplorables had someone that they could listen to that validated their hateful views. Then came all the Limbaugh copycats that dominated the radio airwaves. Now they were listening to hate and lies for hours.

Then came another outlet for them to validate their beliefs, the Drudge Report, filled with conspiracy theories and lies. He hit the jackpot with the Lewinsky thing.

The outlet that took them to the next level was Fox News because now a “news” channel was being “fair and balanced” unlike the “liberal media”

And the republican and conservative establishment loved it because these Deplorables hated Democrats and were reliable Republican voters. Yep the same establishment that you see on tv nowadays criticizing Trump (George Will, Bill Kristol, Jennifer Rubin, etc.) They weren’t worried that these people were turned into irrational thinkers. They thought they would be able to control them.

The Bush Jr. administration used this irrational thinking to their advantage as they created a nationalistic mindset after Sept 11. “You are either with us or Against Us”, but the first kink it the armor happened when Bush tried to do immigration reform. The crazy base that lived their live through Limbaugh, Limbaugh copycats, Drudge, and FoxNews weren’t having. That is when the Republican Establishment should have known that these Deplorables were not just a small segment of the Republican Party, they were the majority or at least plurality.

Then came the 2008 election and to sure these Deplorables, McCain actually made one of them his VP nominee. Again this was the biggest foretelling of a Pres Trump.

Then Obama was elected and these Deplorables lost their minds. And again the Republican establishment this to their advantage all to win congressional elections, but the people who were getting elected weren’t the reasonable Republicans, but they were people who listened to the right wing media outlets.

In parallel with all that happening Reality TV began to explode with shows like Survivor and American Idol. More and more of these shows came to dominate the airways. This allowed a washed up crazy “billionaire” who had multiple bankruptcies that no one took seriously to resurrect his career with his own show. Now he was back in the limelight. He also happened to be one of these Deplorables who enjoyed those same right wing outlets.
He started spewing the same talking points and the rest is history.

Blue Lives Matter and Law & Order

If it’s law enforcement killing a black man.

But not when it comes to law enforcement vs illegal cattle ranchers or Republicans.

Conservative evangelical leader: Trump gets a 'mulligan' on his behavior

https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/23/politics/tony-perkins-trump-affairs-mulligan/index.html

I always knew that these guys were self righteous hypocrites. They are not and were never Christian. The same guys who didn’t believe Obama was a Christian, but pretend that trump is. They have used Christianity in order to spread their hateful right wing agenda.

They are going to be surprised when they die and they aren’t where they thought they would be. They will join Jerry Fallwell in hell.

I hate how CNN and Quinnipiac did their shutdown polls

Splitting among Trump, Congressional Republicans, and Congressional Democrats so it looks like the Dems are most to blame. It lets the press and republicans run with that narrative. And of course that 34% number is Trump’s base. They need to put Trump’s and the republican numbers together to get the real picture
