I see that Collins is in the news again, 1. for not supporting the abortion bill and 2. Endorsing Lapage for Governor…that made remember that she shouldn’t even be a senator anymore and ponder how in the hell did she win….and it got me thinking, she was able to cast a no vote on Barrett to show her “moderate” credentials a week before the election and was able to sway voters.

Not a direct neighbor, but one a few houses down. And unfortunately I don’t have any sympathy. For one, he always seemed like a jerk in addition to being a hardcore Trumper. His BIG truck was littered with the typical right wing bumper stickers (Trump 2020, one with a gun and something along the lines of try to take it, a pro life sticker, of course the blue lives matter sticker, etc…)…..they threw a few parties at their house during this pandemic with a whole bunch of guest….he kept his Trump flag up until February (waaay after the election)…..so when his wife posted on the neighborhood Facebook that he passed away, the first thing I thought of was Covid, so I strolled to look at her previous post in the group and there was one last week about him being on a ventilator (so my assumption is that it was Covid)……..what really irks me about these type of people is that they are always talking about personal responsibility and how people need to fend for themselves, but guess what, this guy had no health insurance or life insurance so now his wife his ‘begging’ for money on Facebook to cover medical bills and burial with a link to PayPal (weird, I didn’t even think PayPal did stuff like that…it’s almost like a go fund me page)

Then if he comes out on top on question 2 wouldn’t that also be rigged? Can you imagine arguing that one part of the election is fake, but the other part is real.

So I was perusing CNN’s website and saw this story on him and thought the whole thing was strange. It was about him checking himself into rehab and resigning from his law firm after being shot and being accused of embezzling money.

So I did some googling on his name and the story got even stranger. Not only was his wife and son murdered months earlier, but the family is tied to three other deaths….this is like one of those 1990’s true story murder mystery movies that the networks use to air.
