This man just stunk up the Veterans Day celebration w/ his presence.

This is the same man who while living at TT would call authorities on homeless veterans loitering near his place. He would treat them like trash. Now pretending as if he cares, just 4 a photo op 4 his campaign.

Progressive veterans group launches campaign labeling Trump as a 'national security threat'

Source: huff post

By Tess Bonn - 11/11/19 06:00 AM EST

One of the largest progressive veterans groups in the country is launching a new campaign against President Trump on Monday that seeks to raise pressure on several Republican senators up for reelection next year.

To mark Veterans Day, VoteVets will fly planes over key Senate battleground states like North Carolina, Arizona, Kentucky and Colorado Monday morning, with a banner that reads: “Vets: Trump is a National Security Threat.” The group seeks to specifically target Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Sen. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.).

“In less than a year, voters will go to the polls. We intend to remind them every day between now and then that Donald Trump is a national security threat and that these key Senate Republicans encourage and enable him at every step of the way,” Jon Soltz, chairman of VoteVets, wrote in a statement announcing the campaign.

In addition to the planes, the group also plans to run digital ads and to launch a website detailing all the ways in which Trump has posed a national security threat to the United States. This includes everything from allegedly “inviting foreign interference in our elections” to “raiding funds for our military families to build his wall.”

Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend the New York City Veterans Day Parade Monday, and he was joined by Vice President Mike Pence and first lady Melania Trump.

“It is truly an honor to come back to New York City to Madison Square Park to be the first president to ever attend America’s parade,” he said, touting his New York City roots.

In his speech, he made reference to recent American military victories, including the operation to kill ISIS terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi last month. Trump also touted the satisfaction with Veterans Affairs health care.

His comments drew mild and subdued applause from the crowd.

“COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho — From her office next to the public computer terminals, Bette Ammon finds herself peering through a window to watch patrons moving through the Coeur d’Alene library’s nonfiction stacks.

Someone has been hiding books lately — specifically, those that explore politics through a progressive lens, or criticize President Trump. They wind up misfiled in out-of-the-way corners where readers will be sure not to find them.

“I am going to continue hiding these books in the most obscure places I can find to keep this propaganda out of the hands of young minds,” the mystery book relocator wrote in a note left for Ms. Ammon, the library director, in the facility’s comment box. “Your liberal angst gives me great pleasure.”

This is not the library’s first battle with book hiders - after white supremacists invaded the area in the 1980s, the city was awarded the prestigious Raoul Wallenberg Award for Civic Courage for its efforts in resisting the racists. With the money presented with the prize the city augmented their library’s catalogue of books on human rights, women’s’ issues, LGBTQ rights and such. The books started to go missing with such regularity they had to be locked away in a glass case............................................

Anyone with even just sufficient powers of observation can see that Trumpists have a inherent aversion to acquiring knowledge, and at least one in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho is determined that no one else will be able to obtain any on their watch.

Scotland’s fight against Trump wasn’t about his bulging personality, but corporate power.

Earlier this year Scotland was engaged, if not enthralled, in one of the more progressive parliamentary election campaigns in the wee Parliament’s short history.

At a BBC debate held in March the chair filled out the last few minutes with the apparently obligatory ‘funny question’. The topic: Donald Trump; specifically, what would you do if he phoned you as First Minister?

The speakers, from UKIP to the Greens and everyone in between, were falling over each other to point out just how much they hated Trump.

“Get off my phone”, barked Willie Rennie (Liberal). “Can I have fries with that”, smirked Ruth Cameron (Conservative). “I’m on the other line sorry” retorted Nicola Sturgeon (SNP). Patrick Harvie of the Greens said he’d be speechless and even UKIP’s candidate was scornful. Adopting a somewhat more serious tone Labour’s Kezia Dugdale said she’d get straight to the point: “I’d tell him to stop preaching hate.”

Their chorus was perfectly in tune. The message: Scotland hates bigots and bullies. Scotland hates bigots and bullies so much most of them didn’t event think it was worth taking the question seriously...................................

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo should step down.
He's played fast and loose with the facts, undermining his credibility on the world stage.
Pompeo has sought to politicize his office, a move no other secretary of state has taken.
For the good of America, Pompeo needs to go.

It is time for Mike Pompeo to step down as secretary of state.

He's lost the credibility needed to be America's top diplomat. He's lost control of our foreign policy. He's lost the confidence of his staff at the State Department.

For months, the complaints about his leadership slowly but steadily piled up. I've certainly had concerns, which I shared in this column. He came in promising to restore diplomats' swagger, but mostly stomped all over them. Pompeo's time at the helm has been marked by more proposed budget cuts, even greater policy concerns, and regularly running afoul of the rules.

Those issues were disturbing, but not disqualifying. The damage he has done to the office in the last few weeks is on a whole different level.

Pompeo dangerously placed personal and political interests above those of the nation and his department. With our international influence at historic lows, we can little afford a discredited secretary of state. To salvage what remains of our global strength, he needs to leave......
....................

.......................But it's his obstruction of congressional oversight that's most worrisome. Pompeo has dramatically driven the department out of the legal lanes. An unaccountable foreign policy comes with considerable consequences for the country, as we have learned the hard way through difficult experiences like Iran Contra and Kissinger's meddling in Latin America.

The transcripts released this week by the House Intelligence Committee detail a world of shadow diplomacy that brings to mind those infamous affairs. His own ambassadors and envoys describe a secretary unable to control our country's foreign policy and to protect his own people. That he'd seek to shield those serious issues from view endangers our system and his staff further.....

You CAN boo Trump at Alabama-LSU game, students are told as college ditches threat that they would lose their seats for 'disruptive behavior' when president watches the Crimson Tide take on the Tigers

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7661681/You-boo-Trump-Alabama-LSU-game-students-told-college-ditches-threat.html

The University of Alabama clarified a letter that went out to groups of ticket-holders warning that tickets would be taken away over 'disruptive behavior'

The letter came days before President Trump's appearance Saturday at the big game between Alabama's Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers

The president is heading to Alabama for the game as he tries to elect a Republican governor in Louisiana

But Jason Rothfarb, vice president for Student Affairs for University of Alabama SGA, issued a follow-up saying that wasn't true.

'By disruptive behavior, we are asking students to be respectful to all students and staff and avoid altercations,' Rothfarb said. 'My email has nothing [to] do with anyone's First Amendment rights and I am sorry for any confusion.'

'Please express yourself and especially your pride for the Tide,' Rothfarb added.

Trump's trip to Alabama will be a delicate political dance as he's currently trying to get a Republican governor elected in Louisiana, after his coattails failed to provide a victory Tuesday night in Kentucky. ........................
