Trump says no BedBugs at Doral but Trump had to settle a lawsuit because of biting bedbugs!!.....

ah, too bad Trumpy. The Truth is out.

No bedbugs at Doral. The Radical Left Democrats, upon hearing that the perfectly located (for the next G-7) Doral National MIAMI was under consideration for the next G-7, spread that false and nasty rumor. Not nice!

The Trump Administration Is Now Deporting Kids With Cancer

Source: vanity fair

Evil

The new policy is a major departure from longstanding legal practice, which allowed the federal government to exercise discretion where a little humanity is warranted. Unfortunately for sick kids, humanity is not part of Trump’s agenda.

August 27, 2019

When you’ve already separated families, thrown children in cages, and held them in conditions that “could be compared to torture facilities,” it’s a bit of a challenge to come up with your next act. Evil takes creativity, and once you’ve forced migrant kids to go weeks without a shower or change of clothes and fed them expired food, it’s tough to continue nailing those Hitler comparisons. Somehow, though, the Trump administration always rises to the occasion:

Immigrant advocates in Boston say federal authorities are unfairly ordering foreign-born children granted special immigration status for medical treatment to return to their countries. The Irish International Immigrant Center says it’s aware of at least five local families who have received notices this month to leave the U.S. within 33 days. The families have “medical deferred action,” which enables them to receive government-funded health care and work legally while their children receive medical treatment…. Advocates say similar notices have been recently issued in California, North Carolina, and other states......................................................

.................................... Per the Boston Globe:

Consider the case of Marie and her 13-year-old son. They were visiting Boston in 2013 when the boy fell ill. He was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, a genetic condition for which he’s been treated at Boston Medical Center. She filed for medical deferred action almost immediately and they were approved in 2017. The status, valid for two years, meant she could get a work permit and he would be granted MassHealth and afford access to life-saving care. She is required to bring him into BMC for monitoring every two months; otherwise acute problems might arise that can result in brain damage or kidney failure, she said. Last week, Marie got a denial letter from US Citizenship and Immigration Services after filing for a renewal. They were instructed to leave within 33 days or else risk deportation.

my gawd. This is horrible just horrible

‘The cruelty is the point,' Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley says of sick children being ordered to leave U.S.

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley described the Trump administration’s overhaul of the country’s immigration policies as a “coordinated attack of cruelty," the latest example being the federal government’s letters ordering severely ill children and their families to leave the country in 33 days.

“The cruelty is the point,” said Pressley, a Massachusetts Democrat representing the 7th District.

Pressley spent roughly an hour speaking with locals at the Somerville Housing Authority about facial recognition technology, the 2020 census and other issues affecting the Greater Boston area.

Deferred action is a form of temporary relief that foreign nationals receive for qualifying humanitarian reasons, including “serious medical conditions.” Those who receive medical deferred action do not qualify for legal permanent residency, but they grant patients and their loved ones permission to be in the country to obtain medical treatment from U.S. hospitals.

Alabama Republicans approve resolution calling for Omar to be expelled from Congress

Source: theHill

By Justin Wise - 08/27/19 02:35 PM EDT

Alabama’s Republican Party is urging the state’s congressional delegation to begin the process of expelling freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) from Congress.

The state GOP supported a resolution calling for the congresswoman's ouster at its summer meeting in Auburn this past weekend, according to Al.com. The committee reportedly approved the resolution on a voice vote after it was introduced by state Rep. Tommy Hanes.

The resolution calls on Alabama's congressional delegation to "proceed with the expulsion process in accordance to Article 1, Section 5 of the U.S. Constitution."

Omar, a Somali refugee who last year became one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, has sparked criticism from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle over her comments about issues tied to U.S.-Israeli relations.

The resolution backed by Alabama Republicans condemns Omar for what it calls her "disturbing record of using anti-Semitic language that includes alleging Jewish money is used to buy American influence regarding its policy toward Israel."...........................

Trump and Mnuchin won't elaborate on calls from China

Trump and Mnuchin won't elaborate on calls from China

Source: CNN

1 hr 28 min ago From CNN's Kevin Liptak

President Donald Trump told reporters earlier: "China called, last night, our top trade people, and said, 'Let's get back to the table.'" Now Trump and his aides are declining to clarify the substance of those calls.

Asked in a meeting with India's prime minister about the calls that he described, Trump cited Chinese vice premier Liu He's comments earlier calling for "calm."

Pressed on the calls, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said there has been 'communication' but wouldn't say between whom. Trump added the communication was "at the highest level" and quickly pivoted to touting the US economy.

Asked again directly, "Was there not actually a call last night?” Mnuchin said only: “There were discussions that went back and forth and let’s just leave it at that.”

The Chinese foreign ministry didn't mention the calls in a briefing Monday.

Trump's rocky weekend includes ups and downs in China trade war

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/26/politics/donald-trump-g7-china-trade/index.html

Trump: China wants to resume trade talks

(CNN)President Donald Trump -- irritable and inconsistent on the world stage -- raised, dashed and then raised again hopes for an easing of his fast worsening trade war with China that is threatening the global economy.
.................................................

.....................................

..........

And then on Monday, during an exchange with reporters, Trump flipped back into a softer position.

Speaking in France, Trump said "China called last night" to relay a desire to return to negotiations. He described the calls as "productive."

"'Let's get back to the table,' " Trump said, describing the message from Beijing.

"They want to make a deal. They want calm. That's a great thing, frankly," Trump said alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The episode reflected how much personal credibility the President now has invested in his duel with China — a fact that makes a prompt resolution of the dispute, that has grave political implications in the US, Europe and Beijing, continue to look elusive. The worse the confrontation gets, the more real is the impact for American consumers who face rising prices on goods imported from China. These include clothes and smartphones and other technology that have transformed modern life since the US ushered the rising Asian giant into the world trading system nearly two decades ago.............................................

Trump says it's 'certainly possible' Putin will be invited to next year's G-7 summit

Source: the Hill

By Justin Wise - 08/25/19 11:48 AM EDT

President Trump on Sunday said that it was "certainly possible" he would invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to next year's Group of Seven (G-7) summit in the United States.

The president made the comments ahead of a meeting with United Kingdom prime minister Boris Johnson during this weekends' G-7 summit in Biarritz, France. Asked about the prospect of inviting Putin to next year's meeting of industrial powers, Trump said that the idea had been discussed.

"We did discuss it. We had a very good discussion on Russia and President Putin, and a lively discussion, but, really, a good one," he said. " And it's certainly possible. It's certainly possible. We'll see."

Johnson added that the discussion was "lively."

Russia was removed from what was then the G-8 after its 2014 annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula.
