Rep. Jake LaTurner (R-Kan.) announced Thursday he will not run for reelection in November, adding himself to a growing list of members leaving Congress at the end of the term.
LaTurner, 36, said he is leaving the House to better focus on his family and young children. He said he will remain in office until the end of his term in January.

Multiple members have also chosen to resign from office early, thinning an already slim GOP majority in the House. With the resignation of Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) earlier this month and the expected resignation of Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) Friday, the GOP has a one-vote margin in the House.
Gallagher, however, may choose to stay in the House for longer than previously announced to support a foreign aid package introduced this week, per a source familiar with the congressman.
LaTurner said the “current dysfunction” has been “distressing,” but it is not the reason he is leaving Congress. ..........................................

Here is the Prosecution's Sandoval Notice. It identifies 13 instances of "misconduct and criminal acts" committed by Trump that the Prosecution intends to use to impeach his credibility should Trump take the stand and testify.
This conduct is NOT charged in the indictment.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign has fired staffer Rita Palma, after she told GOP voters that her “number one priority” is stopping Joe Biden from winning the election—not by actually getting Kennedy 270 Electoral College votes, but by using him to play spoiler and reelect Donald Trump. After video of Palma’s remarks surfaced online this week, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, Kennedy’s campaign manager and daughter-in-law, wrote: “We’re looking into whether any misrepresentations were made. Our campaign champions freedom of speech for all our supporters, volunteers, contractors, and staff, as long as they do not claim to speak on our behalf.” Two days later, she said: “We terminated her contract for misrepresentation immediately upon seeing the longer video in which she gave an inaccurate job title and described a conversation that did not happen.”...........

Steven Cugini was arrested Tuesday. He's suspended per department policy and is locked up in the Dauphin County Prison on $200,000 bail.

A state police affidavit indicates the baby's mother and Cugini initially claimed the injuries happened during a bathtub fall and an accident with the family dog. But investigators say text messages showed Cugini taking responsibility and that he later told police the injuries happened while the infant was in his care alone..........................

This is the country Republicans want:
An 81-year-old Ohio man William Brock has been charged with murder after he took the law in his own hands and shot and killed an innocent Uber driver he thought was trying to scam him.
Turns out however, all was not how it seemed.
Brock says he had received a phone call earlier in the day from someone purporting to be the court seeking a bond for a family member who had been incarcerated.
The conversation became darker when the person on the phone switched their story and said the loved one was actually being held hostage and they demanded ransom.
That’s when the scammers allegedly called an Uber to pick up money.
That’s when 61-year-old Loletha Hall is arrived to pick up the package.
When Brock arrived to her home, unaware of the scammer plot, Brock shot and killed her.
Brock was indicted on 3 counts of murder, 1 count of felonious assault and one count of kidnapping.

#breakingnew 🚨🚨Former Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorne who was tailgating me, just rear ended a FL State Trooper‼️ Im SHOOK 🤯😡😳 I was driving on i75S towards Miami in the left lane and this black tinted sports car was tailgating me relentlessly. I accelerated ahead and moved to the right lane in front of a tractor trailer to let the car by. 5 mins later the highway comes to a complete stop, I swerve to the side so no one rear ends me and slow to a halt. Suddenly the car door opens and a man in a wheelchair rolls out. At the same moment I have to navigate around his car and I look ahead to see the officer exiting from his rear ended vehicle holding his neck in the left lane as well. I pulled over to the right shoulder lane and stopped to ask if everyone was ok and to offer assistance. I couldnt believe my eyes. It occured to me that former CONGRESSMAN CAWTHORNE from NC was the black CAR that stormed by me in an angry road rage tantrum. I spoke to the cop to see if he was ok as he was quite stunned & kept reaching for his neck. He said he was ok, asked if I was a witness, (I wasnt, I must have been 30 seconds behind) and I gave them water as i didnt know what else to do after he thanked me for stopping.
As I drove away & replayed the surreal scene in my head I realized it was the same car who was erratically & aggressively driving behind & then around me. Unbelievably scary & upsetting to see 🥺
