Republican leaders and strategists are unnerved by Donald Trump’s erratic attacks on a Latina beauty queen and other outbursts this week, increasingly fearful that the GOP nominee is damaging his White House hopes and doing lasting harm to the party in the campaign’s final stretch.

Party officials said they are newly embarrassed by Trump’s impulsive behavior and exasperated by his inability to concentrate on his change message and frame the race as a referendum on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, according to interviews with more than two dozen of them.

Senate and House candidates are ducking questions about Trump and distancing themselves, while Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has refused to talk about him. And few elected leaders are counseling him.

At an intimate fundraiser Wednesday for Rep. Joseph J. Heck (R-Nev.), who is running for the Senate, McConnell asked the group of about a dozen supporters how many of them think Trump can win. About half of the attendees raised their hands. But when McConnell then asked how many thought Trump would win, no hands went up, and the room fell silent, according to a person familiar with the scene who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a closed event......................................

Hillary Clinton’s campaign plane erupted in a wave of applause as she boarded the flight, hours after her first presidential debate encounter with Donald Trump.

Staffers who have been on the trail with her for the past year crowded the private front cabin as the crew prepared for take off to Raleigh, North Carolina, 12 hours after she had left the stage where she had needled and trapped Trump before a record television audience the night befo...................................

Two scoreboards at both ends of the gymnasium were frozen on the number 45, and the clock stopped at 20.16, optimistically pointing toward Clinton becoming the 45th president of the United States after election day in November.

Hillary Clinton: ‘Who Gets Up at 3 in the Morning to Engage in a Twitter Attack?’

Source: Time.com

Philip Elliott @Philip_Elliott

4:43 PM ET

Hillary Clinton savaged rival Donald Trump for his weeklong spat with a former beauty pageant contestant, telling an audience in Coral Springs, Florida, that his early-morning rant on Twitter should worry voters.

Trump blasted off a series of tweets about former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, suggesting she had a sex tape and became a citizen only with Clinton’s help. He also called Machado “disgusting” in a series of online messages sent at 3:20 a.m., 5:14 a.m., 5:19 a.m., and 5:30 a.m. The bizarre detour from the presidential campaign toward a beauty queen’s past was plum for Clinton’s mockery.

“I mean, really? Who gets up at 3 in the morning to engage in a Twitter attack against the former Miss Universe? I mean, he hurled as many insults as he could. Really. Why does she do things like that?” Clinton said.
...............

Clinton pushed forward. “His latest Twitter meltdown is unhinged, even for him. It proves yet again that he is temperamentally unfit to be President and Commander in Chief,” she said. “I have said it before and I’ll say it again: A man who can be provoked by a tweet should never be anywhere near the nuclear codes.”

Hillary Clinton's chances of being elected president skyrocket

Source: aol.com

Sep 30th 2016 5:28PM

Many post-debate public opinion polls suggested that Hillary Clinton likely beat Donald Trump in their first face-off, and now that appears to be having an impact on election projections.
.......................

Predictions coming from Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight show Clinton's chances of winning the presidency at 64.8 percent, as opposed to Trump's 35.2 percent -- that's according to his "polls plus" prediction.

If the election were taking place immediately, the data suggests that the former Secretary of State is more likely to win the presidency by a 3 to 1 margin.
.................................

FiveThirtyEight projects Clinton will win 291 electoral votes come November, with Trump just shy of 247. A candidate must win 270 electoral votes in order to become the next president. ..........................

SEPTEMBER 28--Responding last night to a 911 call about a high-decibel "domestic altercation," Wisconsin cops found a man screaming epithets at Hillary Clinton as he watched a replay of Monday evening’s presidential debate.

According to police in Waukesha, a Milwaukee suburb, officers questioned the resident of the apartment from which neighbors heard a racket emanating.

The male occupant said that he was “prepping himself” in advance of Trump’s visit today to the Wisconsin city, cops noted. The Trump supporter was “re-watching the debate by himself” and was “yelling profanities about Clinton.”

The man’s anti-Clinton yelping was “so loud that it could be heard throughout the building where other tenants thought there was a domestic altercation occurring,” police reported....................

Ohio, Long a Bellwether, Is Fading on the Electoral Map

umm.. I have always thought of OHIO as essential. I learn something new everyday.

Ohio, Long a Bellwether, Is Fading on the Electoral Map

By JONATHAN MARTIN

SEPT. 29, 2016

ATHENS, Ohio — After decades as one of America’s most reliable political bellwethers, an inevitable presidential battleground that closely mirrored the mood and makeup of the country, Ohio is suddenly fading in importance this year.

Hillary Clinton has not been to the state since Labor Day, and her aides said Thursday that she would not be back until next week, after a monthlong absence, effectively acknowledging how difficult they think it will be to defeat Donald J. Trump here.
Ohio has not fallen into step with the demographic changes transforming the United States, growing older, whiter and less educated than the nation at large.

And the two parties have made strikingly different wagers about how to win the White House in this election: Mr. Trump, the Republican nominee, is relying on a demographic coalition that, while well tailored for Ohio even in the state’s Democratic strongholds, leaves him vulnerable in the more diverse parts of the country where Mrs. Clinton is spending most of her time.

It is a jarring change for political veterans here, who relish being at the center of the country’s presidential races: Because of newer battleground states, Mrs. Clinton can amass the 270 electoral votes required to win even if she loses Ohio........................

Will & Grace cast unites after 10 years to slam Trump & promote Hillary—to millions of fans

The award-winning, ground-breaking, and much-loved cast of Will & Grace are back after 10 years, and they have a strong Will & Grace-style video message for their fans regarding the 2016 Election.

The show was the first outwardly LGBT sitcom consisting of a zany and hilarious gang of friends that include; Will Truman (Eric McCormack), an intelligent gay lawyer—who is best friends with Grace Adler (Debra Messing), a slightly ditzy interior designer— who employs Karen Walker (Megan Mullally), a drinking, pill-popping very funny rich snob who just works for something to do, and Jack McFarland (Sean Hayes), a lovable and very shallow gay man who never grew up.

The reunion clip opens up with a scene on the original set of Will and Grace’s apartment in New York City, and within seconds, Will asks Grace, “How is it possible that Donald Trump is a nominee for president of the United States?” They both, not paying attention, confuse the conversation and at one point when Grace is talking about Trump and Will is talking about some fantasy, Will realizes and says, “Oh, I’m talking about the wrong dick.”
