Today my four pound, 13 years old, rescue, mixed Shitzu/Chihuahua had an episode of violently coughing and vomiting up blood. She soon after had a good sized bowel movement, urinated and then she settled down with me and went to sleep for about four or five hours. I'm not sure how long it was because I went to sleep myself.
Before our naps I read opinions on line, (I know it's the dreaded "did my own research" routine) which said of course, to get her to the vet asap, keep her warm, don't stress myself out or her as a consequence and make sure she has fresh water available.
I have done everything but the vet who opens in the morning at eight. Unfortunately, the last time I had to take her in, not a single soul except for me was wearing a mask, techs, vet, receptionist, customers, NO ONE. I brought her home with a ten day course of antibiotics. Vowing never to return even though I had scheduled a ten day follow up. I sent a email the next day to cancel. This all took place just before Christmas. I'm dreading that trip if I indeed make it. I'm hoping to buy time to call around and see if I can find a vet that's taking Covid seriously.
Back to my current, dilemma. She's sniffing around where I usually feed her and appears to be hungry but she's not had anything to eat or drink since yesterday.
What can I feed her? I'm not sure if I fix her anything she'll actually eat but I would like some suggestions, please. I don't really know what to do. I know coughing up blood is very serious. I have been in a state of dread lately because I know I have a limited amount of time with her left on Earth. I've cried and cried. She's been my constant companion and when she's gone my life will be unbearable. She's been with me at work, play and home all these years and I'm so afraid of losing her.
Any suggestions or something anything? Please.

Update: Thanks for all of your suggestions. Turns out she has eaten almost an entire plain scrambled egg with some salt and she's been drinking water. She's a bit more active and doesn't seem like she's in pain but I know they can tolerate a lot. I will be calling the vet bright and early. Hopefully, things will continue to progress toward giving me hope. I don't know what I would do without my DU fam. Thanks again for everyone who replied.

Funding to Fix Broken Bridges Headed to NC Thanks to President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

The Department of Transportation today launched the historic Bridge Replacement, Rehabilitation, Preservation, Protection, and Construction Program (Bridge Formula Program), made possible by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Administered by the Federal Highway Administration, the program is the largest dedicated bridge investment since the interstate highway system, providing $26.5 billion to states across the country in addition to the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico over five years. Tribal transportation facilities will be provided $825 million.
In North Carolina, $91.4 million will be allocated in Fiscal Year 2022 and $456.8 million over five years to repair and rebuild the 1,460 bridges in poor condition across the Tar Heel State. While the entire North Carolina Democratic congressional delegation voted to pass President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, every Republican U.S. House Member from North Carolina opposed the historic legislation. Republican candidates for U.S. Senate Ted Budd, Pat McCrory, and Mark Walker all oppose the infrastructure investments, too.
“Bridges are essential for getting North Carolinians safely to work, school and transporting goods to businesses across rural, suburban, urban, and tribal communities in our state. Unfortunately, many bridges in North Carolina today are in desperate need of repair. President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is providing critical funding to modernize North Carolina’s infrastructure for future generations. It’s a shame Republicans from the U.S. House delegation in North Carolina and U.S. Senate candidates Ted Budd, Pat McCrory, and Mark Walker all opposed this vital funding,” said North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Bobbie Richardson.

RALEIGH North Carolina’s new political districts are so skewed toward Republicans that they’re nearly off the charts, multiple expert witnesses testified during this week’s trial in a high-profile gerrymandering lawsuit. The Republican-led legislature drew the maps late last year and is now defending them in court. On the other side are liberal challengers who want the maps tossed out and ruled unconstitutional due to partisan gerrymandering. A math professor from Carnegie Mellon University working for the challengers, Wesley Pegden, used a computer algorithm to draw a massive set of possible political districts for North Carolina. He testified that the legislature’s congressional map is more biased in favor of Republicans than 99.99% of the billions of maps he created. “The enacted map is an extreme outlier,” he said. Pegden was one of half a dozen math and political science professors who all came to similar conclusions for the challengers, about the congressional map as well as the map for the state legislature, all using different ways of testing them. They spent Monday and Tuesday explaining their work to the judges hearing the case.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, attorneys and experts for the legislature made their own case in defense of the maps. They have not argued that it’s incorrect to say the maps are skewed to the right. Instead they’ve said it makes sense, since Democrats tend to live in cities while Republicans tend to be more spread out in rural areas, which they say gives Republicans a built-in geographic advantage. Most importantly, however, the legislature’s case hinges on the legal argument that there’s nothing unconstitutional about partisan gerrymandering. “North Carolina gives a great deal of discretion to the legislature, compared to other states,” said Andy Taylor, an N.C. State University political scientist who testified on behalf of the legislature.
