DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CONDEMNS LEAKS
In my humble opinion, the way the police, paper and some officials are handling the Darren Wilson Grand Jury just shows how bad all this is. It is despicable. That entire department needs to be shut down and all officials ousted.

Michael Brown
Ben Bradlee passed away
The greatest journalist of our time died today.
But Mr. Bradlees most important decision, made with Katharine Graham, The Posts publisher, may have been to print stories based on the Pentagon Papers, a secret Pentagon history of the Vietnam War. The Nixon administration went to court to try to quash those stories, but the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the decision of the New York Times and The Post to publish them.
Truly a great loss for us all.

Woman arrested for holding pumpkin in Ferguson (not a joke)
Just about an hour ago the activists in MO decided to have a protest at the Clayton PD. The protest was meant to show the world the difference in how people are treated in St Louis County v Keene NH. There were approximately 15 - 20 pumpkins put on the corner across from the Clayton PD with words such as "white privilege" written across them
There weren't that many gathered for the protest. In fact, there seemed to be more cops milling about than protesters. The cops, as seems to be the usual in that area, were not friendly or willing to discuss anything with the protesters. They didn't try in anyway to find out what was planned or to see if they could possibly work something out.
So, the protest began an about 7 or 10 people picked up pumpkins and walked across the street to the taped off Clayton PD building, where the police had gathered. After a short speech, one protester threw the pumpkin down on the area in front of the police department. Not at anyone. It didn't hit anyone. Just down on the ground so it smashed. The cops quickly moved in and arrested him. The POs then quickly took pumpkins from others, including one woman. But that wasn't enough. They pulled her arms behind her back and cuffed her. She showed passive resistance to this arrest, so the cops picked her up like an animal and took her inside.
I'm incensed. I'm in disbelief. What charges? Intent to throw a pumpkin? At BEST had she thrown the pumpkin it would have been a class b misdemeanor, a ticket. Not arrest. (update, she was charged with assault on a PO - a felony)
These cops are out of control and the federal government needs to move in ASAP. As stupid and funny as this may seem, it is a horrific assault on the liberties of the people of MO. Someone is going to crack. Someone else is going to die if this keeps up.

FERGUSON/ST. LOUIS POLICE BRUTALITY
I am hoping that the lack of attention to Riverwalker's post is just due to where it was posted. The video was put together yesterday from some live streams. Live streams since Michael Brown was murdered in cold blood.
The absolute, unbelievable, horrid, illegal treatment of peaceful protesters by cops in Missouri is that which movies are made.
The absolute resolve, bravery and steadfast passion for the cause, to end the Government sanctioned, militant, police brutality of all, and the senseless, nightmarish, murders of our young black men, and to demand justice is more than inspiring.
Please click on Riverwalker's post and watch the video.

Robert McCulloch, St. Louis County Prosecutor, is VP of company receiving money from support of Wils
What kind of unbelievable bullshit! How is he not prosecuted himself for obstruction of justice?
ANYONE who believes there is not disparity in justice in Missouri is just plain ignorant of what is going on.

I have been told that this is not true. However, they do benefit indirectly from the sale of support Wilson shirts. Still a conflict of interest. I will keep digging. Leaving post up because there shouldn't be any gain from support Wilson funds.

Yep. Directly from the organization selling the Ts. Some funds from shirt supporting wilson sales goes to backstoppers

Bravo to the protesters in Ferguson & Shaw last night
Rather than just allowing peaceful protest without riot gear, 100s of cops and other intimidation tactics, the police in Ferguson and Shaw decided to just take it down a notch from throwing tear gas, spraying mace, pointing weapons and shooting rubber bullets at peaceful protesters and people on their own property.
Though the police in the Ferguson area stood silently, they did so in riot gear. They did so in lines formed 2 and 3 deep. They did so while repeatedly announcing "if you touch a police officer, you will be arrested for assault" and other such infractions that would put you in jail.
The cops in Shaw were waiting for a fight. Hoping for a fight. They were horrible from the start. They violated law by making the protesters move. The "5 second rule" was found unconstitutional, yet these officers of "peace" ignored that. They were waiting with Billy clubs being banged in unison. They continually ordered people onto the sidewalk they were already on, announcing the threat of arrest over and over. They surrounded the protesters, pushing them to spots that would corner them, lock them in. At one point, the protesters suddenly turned and surprised the cops with the move. Cops just chased them. They pulled over cars just for having out of state plates and harassed the occupants. They blocked the bridge when people tried to go home.

I have been to many protests in my life. All in Chicago. Only once were the cops aggressive. Every other time they were few and usually supportive of the protest. Even if not, they did nothing to try to intimidate.
Hopefully, the peace and lack of violence and arrest will continue throughout the weekend. But the cops are looking for a fight.
Holocaust survivor, Heidi Epstein, who was arrested in Ferguson for peacefully protesting, has again joined the march in St. Louis today!
All respect!
