Hello Missourians

I hope this is OK to post here. I am really hoping for an answer about the area. If this isn't OK, please let me know and I will delete this

If anyone is familiar with St Louis, would you mind very much answering on the thread about timing of the Shaw shooting, please?

I have some questions about the Shaw shooting

I have read many reports about this story. There are conflicting stories, from the police and from the people v the police.

The stories from the police range from "he jumped from the bushes" and began a struggle with the officer, to he ran up a hill and started shooting at the officer. http://www.boston.com/news/nation/2014/10/09/the-louis-shooting-michael-brown-all-over-again/yRBAonyY59Zf1XtgUJBAqK/story.html

I don't know the layout of St Louis. Is it possible to have been in the places the officer claims Myers was after leaving the store? So he left the store, ended up however far it was from the store to where he was first sighted by the officer, then being chased in a vehicle then on foot only to end up back at the store all in 10 minutes time?

How is it these kids ran after the vehicle did a uturn but they fled after an attempted "pedestrian check." And what caused this supposed "pedestrian check" if they were just walking down the street?

How convenient is it that the gun found was one that was reported stolen? But how do you mix up the type of gun? I am not at all familiar with guns. I couldn't tell you the name of any gun by sight. But I am not a police officer. It was first identified as a Ruger then as a Smith & Wesson. Are they that similar they could be mistaken for each other? http://m.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/teen-died-from-gunshot-to-right-cheek-medical-examiner-says/article_2d5a8c2a-97db-5cec-a477-1130d7d26f7e.html?mobile_touch=true

Some witnesses say Myers was tased. Police say the police officer in question was not issued a taser. First off, why not? And that doesn't mean he didn't purchase one on his own or he wasn't issued one by the security company. A company that has had complaints against it for use of force. A company that has its website down.

The Chief has stated that they have the bullet and trajectory of the shots already studied. But they still don't have the gun powder tests from the victim. This is the easiest, fastest test available. How can an autopsy already be completed and gun trajectory done a day ago but no gun powder residue test completed? Don't forget, this is the same guy who, before knowing there was a video of the murder of Kajieme Powell, said that Powell was wielding the knife overhead at the officers.

Why was an off duty officer, working for a private security firm, wearing his uniform for a police department?

I have so many questions. There are too many inconsistencies. At this point, I don't know I will believe anything that comes from the police.

I'm seriously asking. I would love an answer to any of this. Especially the gun and the area.

BREAKING: Students Occupying Beavercreek PD Station w/Demands

Students protesting the lack of prosecution for the murder of John Crawford III are occupying the Beavercreek Police Station with a list of demands.

A couple updated:

But the first few minutes of the radio broadcast here, tells us that the DOJ probably won't "be able" to do anything. SHOCKER! And that John Crawford had some pot in his system. (What about the cop god damn it!) And some other things, like the other cop saying John Crawford had a shocked look on his face and more lies from the Ritchie family.

And not just students are protesting. Open Carry people are too

American Veterans Disabled For Life Memorial

I saw a little post about this in the Veterans group. Made me sad that I haven't seen it elsewhere today. It may be out there but I can't find it.

It's a beautiful memorial, long, long, long overdue.

Lois Pope was visiting the Vietnam Memorial and watched as a disabled Vet struggled to put flowers in front of his friend's name. She then asked a guard where the memorial for disabled Veterans was located. When she was told none existed, she was appalled. And being Lois Pope, she fixed it. She donated $10,000,000. and raised $70 million more.

She worked for years to make this memorial a reality, fighting Congress, limited space availability and money problems.

The culmination of her dream and that of her partner in making it happen, Art Wilson of the Disabled American Veterans organization, was dedicated today. The gorgeous design was created by Michael Vergason Landscape Architects

There were thousands in attendance at the dedication ceremony, and the Commander in Chief was the main speaker.

When the Memorial site has been decided, Lois Pope said of the lawmakers, while thinking of its close proximity to the Capitol, "I want them to know the human cost of war. I want them to think twice."

No matter what we think of war or individual wars, most of the US Military have nothing to do with the decisions. They're usually very young when they go into military. And regardless of anything else, they are willing to give their lives for us, for our freedom. The hundreds of thousands of disabled Veterans deserve our gratitude for their honor and their sacrifice. They deserve our fight for them to receive the best care available.

Tea Party "Restore The Dream 2014" TShirt with Dr. King

Sometimes people just go too far.

I realize that this is a blog I'm linking to but it came from Greg Palast. He doesn't put stuff out that isn't true. I say that because who in their right mind could believe this?

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these people? Reagan and Dr. King is bad enough. But to try and steal from the famous, beautiful, "I have a dream" speech and use it for the tea-fucking-starve-the-poor-control-the-women-fuck-the-government-my-god-only-baggers!? Unbelievable!

I hope that it backfires on them and all their racist, idiotic, flag waiving, illiterate asshats turn from them

post your favorite protest song

ah, c’mon on all you big strong men
Uncle Sam needs your help again
he’s got himself in a terrible jam
way down yonder in Kurdistan
so put down your books and pick up a gun
we’re gonna have a whole lot of fun

and it’s 1, 2, 3, what’re we fighting for?
don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn
next stop is Kurdistan
and it’s 5, 6, 7, open up the pearly gates
well there ain’t no time to wonder why
whoopee! we’re all gonna die

well c’mon generals, let’s move fast
your big chance has come at last
gotta go out get those that behead
the only good Muslim is one who’s dead
and you know that peace can only be won
when we’ve blown ‘em all to kingdom come

chorus

well c’mon on Wall Street
don’t be slow
why this is war a-go-go
there’s plenty good money to be made
by supplin’ the Army with the tools of the trade
just hope and pray that if we drop the bomb
they drop it on-the Muslims
chorus

well c’mon mothers throughout this land
pack your boys off to Kurdistan
c’mon pops, don’t hesitate
send ‘em off before it’s too late
be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box

and it’s 1, 2, 3, what’re we fighting for?
don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn.

Just switch up a few of the pictures. Same shit, different day.

Or, to quote Janis, "it's all the same fucking day man!"
