Caution fellow Pro2A DUers. The Hide forces are organized. Anything goes...

in the way of insult, denigration, smear, and untruths. You know the drill.

Jackpine Radical has passed. A reasonable defender of 2A....

This according to a post in GD.

I liked the insight he brought to discussions involving RKBA,as well as other topics.

How do you miss someone on the internet? Yet it happens.

As of tomorrow, Bernie is in the race!

Sounds like an winner to me, esp. on guns. He has a somewhat mixed record, FOR mag restrictions, was FOR AWB in ' 94, and FOR UBC (as I). Looks good on other gun votes, preferring states handling regulation. Weigh in with your opinion.

Cruz knows our bully culture. He knows it works.

Ain't much gonna be said about his unqualified status to be president. (Prediction)

His efforts to sign on with the Health Exchange is already fading from MSM view. (Observation)

The anti-Obama narrative, and the tough, strongman image Cruz has created for himself are cast, and WILL cow MSM and any remnant opposition into squealing complaints of hypocrisy emanating from obscure web sites and in LTTEs. To the far right, hypocrisy is sport, and irony is an overwrought subject in advanced lit & humanities classes. Cruz and the GOP know there is no opposition. The ball is in the court of the Right. Any discussion will be between the Right, the Far Right, and the crap-in-your-pants-and-go-to-heaven Right; everyone else is irrelevant as they assume their framed role as the bully's victims.

BTW, ANY complaints sourcing from any other branch other than the GOP, WILL be tagged as "the Left." And that tag will be promoted by much more than the GOP.

Are racial issues the way to get gun issues back into GD?

There are 2 GD threads today alone about guns (noting the volume & tenor of posts) that have race added, and have remained up in spite of GD'S SOP. Are there any other hybrids which allow for gun discussion here? I have a number of ones I would like to bring up.

Are racial issues the way to get gun issues back into GD?

We have at least 2 postings today which have race as a component to what turns out to be (by posting volume) a discussion about guns. Are there any other issues which can be combined with guns so that they be posted in GD? This will be of valuable guidance to those who try to follow the rules in DU.

(I'm sure this will be alerted on, but I believe some clarification is in order.)

Late post: Successful deer hunt in Uvalde County!

Been offline for a couple months, but I can report that I took an 8 pt buck of decent size on the first evening of my 2nd hunt, just below Camp Wood. He was the only white tail that failed to wind me in the early evening swirl; seems he was sniffing the trail of a late-estrous doe and had little concern with what I was wafting. He would have walked past me at 50ft distance had I not reached for my rifle and spooked him. As it was, he scrambled off for another 50ft, then broadsided me, trying to figure out the moving "growth" clinging to a mesquite. Easy shot, quick recovery & field dressed 30 mins. later.

All told, I got 46 dove in other hunts. These went to patrons of a local beer joint in the form of bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers, and pan-browned, slow simmered milk gravy birds over grits (for me). And there's more to go!

I have been on DU since 2006 under \"SteveM\" and later \"SteveW.\" Due to an account mix-up and a computer crash, I have \"rejoined\" as Eleanors38, but my history at DU includes the names cited.
