No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalThe Senators I like best for VP are unfortunately from states with Repub.
governors at present.
That would be: Sherrod Brown and Cory Booker, among others.
I like Elizabeth Warren very much, but believe she might be too much of a good thing on the Pres./VP ticket.
Not sold on Perez, and Castro.
Kaine is a good safe choice, though not as dynamic as Brown or Booker. He would probably work well with Hillary in the office of VP.
I sure will miss my favorite VP, Joe Biden. Hope he'll stay available in an advisory capacity.
Likely family members twisted his arms for Pence. Especially
son-in-law Kunstler.
And Donald's "gut" likely told him - bad decision.
My polling place is in a large meeting room of a Presbyterian church.
There are at least 2 precincts there; there used to be more until consolidation of several precincts.
I usually vote by absentee ballot, so seldom go to the poll, but did for the primary this year.
If we voted by mail, we wouldn't need to use mosques, churches, or synagogues as polling places.
I'll never forgive Sandra Day O'Connor.
Another so-called hero I have it in for is Colin Powell. - He knew better and the damage he did cannot ever be undone.
Trump would say they all have "very, very good minds" and went to
"very, very good universities."
Has anyone commented on how Trump repeats sentences after saying it the first time?
I am very uncomfortable with the overt (over)-involvement of Trump family
members in decision-making for this presumptive nominee.
Thank you, Stinky, for addressing this.
Do not forget the son-in-law Jason Kunstler who seems to be quite manipulative.
Sounds like a bad idea to me. Remember, Kent State happened here,
not too far from Cleveland.
Kasich will be in Cleveland, but not attending the Repub. convention, he says, (though ready to become an alternative nominee if asked.)
Kasich can order out the National guard, I'm thinking.
You could prepare a basic script for yourself.
As you became more familiar with various responses, you could have alternatives answers written down.
Start small.
Don't try to take a huge bite until you know you can "swallow" the smaller bites.
Good luck!
Edited to add: I understand the phone anxiety. It's far easier to write, where one can edit, that to speak spontaneously for me as well.
Is there any way you could find something where you would work from home?
Maybe selling a product or service?
That would take away the worry from the ulcerative colitis.
Some legitimate telephone services - catalogues sales, etc. let you work from home.
