Special memories for me. - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-

I read the book by Raoul Dahl to my brood, a chapter or so at a time.
The characters were so vivid, we still refer to some of them in conversation.

We went on to read other Dahl books - James and the Giant Peach- on car trips,, a sure way to get the brood to settle down when they started to get restless in the back seats.

Very, very special.
RIP Gene Wilder.

Huge problem is getting good people to run as Democrats against the

entrenched and well-funded Republicans.

Big example is 2nd Congressional district where a no-name and disinterested person named William Smith won the Dem. primary despite running a no-show candidacy two years ago.

So even if this were to be a Democratic year overall, Dems can't win with a "candidate" who doesn't even bother to campaign.

And talk about gerrymandering- I live well within the city of Cincinnati, but my state senator is located in the next (ex-urban) county in a town named Springboro, which I have no idea where that is. I question how she can adequately represent an urban population, which must constitute a large proportion of her constituents.

I reject use of the word "scandals" regarding issues or situations for which

Sec. Clinton is being discussed by the media.

The word "scandal" is the lead in a Fox/Trump/Republican meme to discredit Hillary.

No need for her supporters or any Democrat to buy into that wording.

You are correct, ROCK2. It's a pity Ohio Dems can only infrequently recruit strong

candidates for state and national offices, as exemplified in the last gubernatorial race, the current Senate race, and consistently in Congressional and state races.
We know that gerrymandering is responsible for the lop-sided results in state-wide and Congressional races, and the Republican majority is unapologetic about it.
The Dem candidate in the 2nd Congressional district is a disgrace - no campaigning at all, and he was selected in a De. primary!
Very discouraging.
I'm still hoping to pull out Ohio for Hillary for President.
Turnout, turnout, turnout!

Katrina Pierson can go to he**! My daughter has dysphasia from a stroke

and it's nothing to joke about or make light of. It's a struggle every day, every wakening hour, taking away one's sense of dignity and one's sense of safety.
I'm proud of Hillary Clinton and support her efforts to uplift Americans, especially those in medical need.

Zabasearch.com.

Also, your local public library, if it has a collection of telephone books, as my very good Main Library does.
