Sorry to report a similar situation going on in my family.

I'm broken-hearted over this.

There is also a variant prominent mostly in Russia.

The one in Russia is thought to be highly contagious.
I do not recall its Greek-letter designation.

Phil Heimlich is more than a "Republican voter." He is a former Cincinnati city councilman,

elected as a Republican, and has run for Ohio state office as a Republican, though he is now considered a "renegade" Republican. He is also the son of renowned Dr. Henry Heimlich, of the Heimlich maneuver fame.

Someone, whoever assembled the panel after the Town Hall, pulled some kind of trick on Don Lemon, in that the panelist were not average citizens, but known political activists in the Cincinnati area.

At least one, Cam Hardy, is currently running for election to Cincinnati council in November.

A little late to the game, aren't you, Mike?

Well, I wish you and Missourians good luck, anyway...

So proud of the way Dr. Fauci handles himself.

He's been around long enough to know how to defend himself with being offensive.
He's not a young man - about 80, I think - but he can set many a young man or woman back on their heels as needed.

Many here on DU feel very free to voice their disapproval of any or all things Catholic.

Example above:" it is quite easy to see they have no credibility when it comes to basic morality."

I know of no other body of which such a sweeping statement would be levelled or tolerated either here on DU or elsewhere.

Many on DU even go to the Catholic Safe Haven group here on DU with comments offensive to Catholic subscribers.

We know that most of the other religious groups here are not attacked in this manner, and when a comment or subject crosses their line, it is quickly called out.

There are and have been serious problems within the Catholic church over the millenia of its existence. Some have been resolved, some remain. Most Catholics are not unaware of these.

However, there are real and serious reasons so many choose to live life as a practicing Catholic and they deserve to be honored and respected here on DU and elsewhere.

This is a safe haven group.

There are other areas on DU more suitable for your posting.

Could it be that in an emergency room situation drug addicts could be more easily

seen/monitored minute-to-minute for their double conditions (emergency plus drug effects) in a hallway than behind a curtain?
I don't know enough to speculate knowledgably, but trying to think it through...

Sorry to say, I believe the majority of this thinking comes from their church/pastors.

In the late night I bounce around the TV channels, including the religious ones.
A program or network called "Daystar" is viciously anti-vax.
One with a dark-haired woman, whom I believe is the wife of network's featured pastor.
She has guests, some with medical degrees, they say, who expound at length and with statistics, etc. to back up their nonsense.
Naturally , their phone number for donations is continually displayed, and sometimes religious "oils" or books are offered.

I am a religious person, but this style of preaching, etc. is nothing I have ever experienced, nor do I know people involved in this type of religion, so it is quite an eye-opener to me.
It bugs me that my tv subscription is paying for this type of programming.
Live and learn....
