If the poll numbers go down for Trump, how long before...

...he just folds his arms, pouts and gives up? And what would that look like?

To be honest, I was quite a stubborn petulant kid (and maybe my wife would say not a lot has changed as an adult). I could totally see me, in my younger days, when I knew I was going to lose or not reach my goal, go out and actively sabotage the task.

After all, if I'm the one who fucks it up, then I can just say "Hey, I never wanted it anyway."

I can't wait to see what that looks like in the context of a Presidential campaign going down in flames.

Fox News - $400 million to Iran in January story - any legs?

My conservative bro-in-law is ranting and raving about this story. Apparently, it first appeared in the WSJ, but it looks just that the US settled an old claim, paid the first payment, and around the same time, some detainees came home. Doesn't seem to be evidence that the two events are related.

Does anyone know anything else about this? Don't want another fucking Benghazi or more email bullshit.

For many conservatives, I imagine giving up on Donald Trump is like getting a hankering for Arby's

while driving on the Interstate, and missing one because you couldn't get over fast enough to get the exit.

So you keep driving, thinking "I'll just get the next one." But this isn't a more-common McDonald's or even Wendy's. it's not a gas station. It's Arby's...so you keep driving. And driving. Now you're invested in going forward because to go back would be, well, going back.

But the next Arby's could be 58 miles down the Interstate. Just turn back around. Go back to the Arby's you saw in the back, and save yourself the time and the distance.

What the hell is wrong with Manafort?

Watching MTP on MSNBC right now and he's a big old mess, fumbling for words, getting names wrong ("President Clinton and Secretary Obama started ISIS" ("Clinton" when he means "Trump"

Is he ok?

**New YouGov poll Hillary: 43, Trump: 41.

(Post-RNC convention was Trump 42, Hillary 41)

So a 3-point turnaround in this particular poll.

No link, because I just saw it on MSNBC.

Trump surrogate trying to smear Khizr Khan on CNN right now - you're not going to Swiftboat this

i think the more they attack this very sympathetic couple, the dumber they will look. They're trying to turn it around, but I'm thinking no one takes the bait.

[UPDATED NUMBER] DNC Day 4 TV Ratings Dems 33.7 million (Last week RNC Day 4 34.9 million)

Just shy of Trump's ratings. Maybe some updates later on will push it higher???
