Romney/as Senate majority leader

if we don't get a majority --there just might be a few 2022 GOP retirees/weak runners that might vote that way-------I can raise more objections than most people ----but McConnell needs to go

please continue Oath Keepers

we fully appreciate the good work that you have done in Virginia ----you've taken the former bright red ---Republican stronghold and former capital of the Confederacy -----and made it BRIGHT BLUE ---when Trump said there are good people on both sides it infuriated a lot of Virginians -the removal of Confederate memorabilia on Monument Avenue in Richmond is a direct result-----on the campus of Virginia Military Institute you have successfully caused the removal of the Stonewall Jackson statute-----and the celebration of Confederate Heroes has been removed and now ELECTION DAY is a holiday there---- you actually have done more for FAIRNESS -----which you call "librul" ---than most of the leaders of the left----

2024 is now --Trump as the artist or magician

I kinda like what Trump has been doing. His command of the artist's palette is one of my favorite things because he knows how to change red to blue. His comments of encouragement to the racists in Virginia have turned the entire state BLUE. The racist monuments of Confederate so called heroes---traitors in my book---on Monument Avenue in Richmond are coming down. VMI ---a bastion of racism has fired their top administrator and the statue of Stonewall Jackson is coming down. --Mr. Trump has done even more for the Democratic party with his cruel comments about John McCain so that now we have TWO Democratic Senators coming to DC from Arizona . ---I like Trump's work in Georgia--he has taken a long term safe Republican state and turned it into a Democratic stronghold. Trump seems to be doing more damage in Georgia than Sherman's March to the Sea. It doesn't look like Trump will win, but we can hope if he does he will complete his work in Texas where his political palette is turning the State blue. ----The trend in Texas ----Romney won it by 19 points, Trump beat HRC by 11 points (Hillary received 3,877,868 votes) and his most recent "win" against Biden is a 6 point spread with Biden receiving 5,222,058 votes. Texas is an electoral vote gold mine with its 38 electoral vote, California has 55 and New York has 29 ----that is a pretty good start to 270 EV for the win. My call is that the Democrats should work Texas hard for the next four years. Florida has a lot of EV but it is unstable vote wise because of the OWIDS like me----(OLD WHITE IRRELEVANT DUDES) ---who can't be counted on the vote in a stable manner (except for me)---so he has been good for the Democrats so far. Trump has said that he was going to build a wall ----and he did---he just turned Maine BLUE ---so New England now has a blue wall all the way to West Virginia. Thank you Donald Trump for your brand damage to the Republican Party

My pick for our new postmaster general

Here is my pick for our new Postmaster General -- Rep Abigail Spanberger(D) Virginia - a former CIA officer and Postal Service investigator, presented herself as a moderate focused on issues affecting rural Americans. In campaign ads, she also highlighted her background in intelligence and national security. Just won again in Virginia's 7th. She is a hero in my book because she defeated David Brat( of Eric Cantor dethroning fame) in the 2018. And she just squeaked by to win again. She is a safe appointment because her Democratic Governor will be able to appoint her replacement (picks anyone?)

About New Haven

A child of the 60's, a lifelong Democrat and a sense that our elected officials , especially the President, set the tone of civility in our great country. I worked on JFK's campaign and on Barack Obama's (twice). High School Class of 1963 I was moved by MLK's March on Washington, and to see that go full circle and have Barack Obama for President is quite gratifying. When I see remnants of the John Birch society still quite active in the Tea Party/MAGA it strengthens my beliefs and support of the Democratic Party.
