Ohio, Ohio, Ohio shame shame shame.

The Supreme Court’s recent ruling allowing Ohio to kick thousands of infrequent voters from its registration rolls has deepened partisan divisions over ballot access ahead of one of the most consequential midterm elections in decades.

White House Counsel Don McGahn Recused Entire Staff From Russia Probe

06/15/2018 05:30 am ET

White House counsel Don McGahn recused his whole staff from the investigation into whether President Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia because many of the attorneys played key roles in the decisions to fire national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James Comey.

“The White House made a decision to recuse his entire office,” former White House attorney Ty Cobb said on Wednesday, according to Politico.

“It tells us how deeply rooted this scandal is in every different part of the White House,” Norm Eisen, a former ethics attorney in the Obama White House, told Politico. “It’s like a ray of sunshine when you learn they did the right thing.”

Trump and McGahn have reportedly clashed on their approach to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. McGahn threatened to quit when Trump asked him to fire Mueller, The New York Times reported in January.

Cobb, who joined Trump’s legal team last July to manage the handling of the Russia probe, left his White House role last month.

Sessions cites Bible in defense of breaking up families, blames migrant parents

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday offered a full-throated defense of the Trump administration's policy of separating children from their parents at the border, saying that being a parent does not give migrants immunity from prosecution.

Sessions, in a speech to law enforcement officials, blamed migrant parents for putting their children in danger, saying, "They are the ones who broke the law, they are the ones who endangered their own children on their trek." Sessions referred to Paul the Apostle and his admonition to "obey the laws of government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order."

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — The Trump administration has selected Tornillo, Texas, for the construction of tents to house the overflow of immigrant children, many of whom have been separated from their parents under a new "zero tolerance" policy, according to three sources familiar with the decision.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will erect a "tent city," full of large tents whose walls touch the ground, and is estimated to hold approximately 450 beds for children, say the sources.
