The general thrust of your comments in this thread seems to be "move along folks, nothing to see here," as if our discussions might actually fan the flames of war and are unworthy of attention. It looks to any reasonable person like an attempt to squelch. But then on your own thread in this group, you trumpet the subject for your radio show and urge us to listen to YOU, as if you and you alone are qualified to address the matter. Have you honestly no idea how arrogant and worse that makes you sound? If not, that's another reason I'm disinclined to give you my ear in the future.

If you have further comments to make to me, you might want to save your breath because I see no reason to listen to you anymore. You can say all you want as long as you want, probably anywhere you want - but don't expect another response from me because you've already wasted too much of my time. Wish I could say it had been nice knowing you.

Our president IS beautiful, inside and out. Not just because of his color, but because of his soul. And he is black. Yes ma'am, indeed - and we can all take pride in that for the sake of our whole nation and world. Not that we had anything to do with making him who and what he is, but we can take part with him by showing our support and love no matter who's watching. Sometimes, especially when certain less perceptive folks are watching. They might learn a thing or two.

The first picture with MLK reminds me of watching The Story of Vernon Johns on tv long ago. He was played by James Earl Jones. When the Ebenezer Baptist Church committee finally dismissed him for his activism, one of the last scenes showed them welcoming the new pastor from whom they expected a much lower profile presence: Dr. Martin Luther King.

That still turns my tickle box over. Talk about unintended consequences!

To me, smart has always been sexy. And it requires good sense and heart, too, which Repugs lack or they wouldn't be who they are. They have absolutely no one comparable in the least. Even the ones with more brain cells than the usual GOPer, as with the late-not-great Buckley, were/are monstrous freaks, and that horrifies me.

as well as the best POTUS we ever had or could hope for. Thanks to him and others like Kerry etc., I had the emotional capacity to deal with my own personal problems (weather related) this weekend instead of fainting on the floor. Went to sleep calm as a lamb, knowing our nation's in safe hands. What a priceless gift.
