IrishAyes's JournalGeorgie, me boy...
We the People are the church. You've got the whole thing upside down. I know that looks rightside up to you, but it isn't. When the self! appointed leaders are wrong, it's our religious duty to oppose them. Otherwise we've set them up as little gods, and that amounts to idolatry. You can see how far behind I am in my reading
But I don't want to miss any of your threads any more than I would rug's.
One day after I'm long gone, but one day... we will see women accepted as Catholic priests and maybe eventually a female pope. (Yes, I'm aware of the historical possibility that there already was one posing as a man during the Middle Ages.)
Be careful of Craig's List
That's where a lot of fighting dog owners get live treats for free.
This joint's jumpin' tonight!
Can't wander off w/o thanking you for all the beautiful pictures, though. Some of the best I've ever seen. When I get a printer, I won't need to wallpaper the office. Really, if my hard drive crashes it's gonna be all your fault, you ... you Democrats!
You should've heard
what one of them wailed in Sunday School class one day after complaining about immigrants. "It's like we don't count anymore!"
Boo hoo.
We don't need to care what the RWers think because
They haven't the faintest idea how to do so above slug level. But just as it behooves one to watch out for mad dogs, we also need to keep a close eye on those raving lunatics. Unfortunately, that means 'listening' to them and sharing response strategy.
You damn with faint praise.
And I don't admire such cheap shots. But then consider the source... With friends like that, who needs enemies?
Mind if I 'borrow' this idea for the local paper?
I've been wondering whether to respond to the letter writer who called Democrats (and by extension, therefore, moi) LYING HYENAS OF SOCIALISM, but I couldn't think of anything funny enough to say that would ever see print. And I do try to restrict my own letters to just a few each year. Going by averages, I'm probably past 21 by now. No wonder the teabaggers are getting tired of listening to me.
But this idea you've presented has just the right tone for the moment. I promise to pass it on in my own words but credit an unnamed source for the thought.
And people wonder why I don't like to talk politics directly with them... sigh.
