What if you found out you couldn't vote in the next election?

You think you have the right to vote. Republicans believe that you don't if you are a Democrat.

"Would you be pissed? Or would you be relieved that you don't have to fulfill your voting responsibility? The latter is what Republicans want you to feel, and they are again working hard on their ideological voter suppression, targeting Democratic strongholds. A good example of this comes from the Atlanta Constitution citing new laws passed in the state House."

What is certain is that the right is working extremely hard to keep the left from exercising their Constitutional rights. [link:http://|Read more...]

There are a number of Republicans both within the Congress and out who bear watching. It's just that this trilogy of misfits have the most chilling credentials.

Donald Trump freak effigy in gold trolls CPAC

Has it really come to this? A gold statue of Donald Trump introduced at the CPAC convention. A guy from Mexico created it, which is probably the reason you haven't heard much from Trump about his effigy. It gets scarier by the day. Read more...

Is this the end to the NRA? One can only hope

How man times have we asked this question to be answered only by more gun violence? Today the NRA is at its weakest ever, and the NY Attorney General hasn't even gotten started yet. With a Bien/Harris administration, it looks more like the dream could come true. Read more...

America in conflict

There are a number of reasons the United States has the amount of conflict it does, and the majority of these reasons are closely connected to Republicans and the radical conservative movement. I won't deny Democrats do have their problems, but one only needs to relate to the news of the last four years culminating in the January 6 violent storming of the U.S. Capitol to realize the true source. Jan. 6 was an insurrection and many of those responsible are now in jail. It all stems from the daily insanity of Republican madness emanating from people in power who shouldn't be there. PARODY: U.S. gun owners willingly give up their weapons

There is no better way to illustrate a problem than to parody it and show how ridiculous a situation really is. The following will show how some irresponsible gun owners have left their weapons around in the past, often resulting in the death of a child...Read more...

Biden must commit on Louis DeJoy and send him on his way

I did a parody on Louis DeJoy recently because it seemed there was no other way to illustrate the sheer clumsiness in which this American icon is being run. And now it seems the White House is dragging it feet in the replacement of DeJoy. Read more...

Young Pharaoh out but Donald Trump still in at CPAC convention

I had never heard of Young Pharaoh until today. He is a musical artist and apparently a radical right commentator who spews anti-Semitism and other rancor. The upcoming CPAC convention featuring Donald Trump as a speaker just cancelled an appearance by Young Pharaoh. Read more...

Capitol rioters supported anti-vaxxers and vice versa

This blog has repeatedly attacked anti-vaxxers with the position that these idiots--yes, they are the lower rungs of grey matter--are causing a dangerous situation where people are being urged not to do what will keep them healthy, even save their life. The harm they have done is incalculable as evidenced by the four-year old killed by his mother who followed the advice from a Facebook group of anti-vaxxers. Now they are coming for the COVID-19 vaccination group. Read more...

About Nasty Jack

It is true that I am a cynic, pessimistic over what's going on in the world. As a skeptic, my initial take on issues is on the downside. What makes me optimistic is writing about it.
