Isis state about to defeat Assad: Such a great development for Syrian Women

Syria’s Nightmarish Narrative
April 27, 2015

Exclusive: With military and political help from Saudi Arabia and Israel, the nightmare scenario of an Al-Qaeda and/or Islamic State victory in Syria may be coming true, as the army of the more secular Syrian government retreats and as President Obama seems frozen by indecision, reports Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

The Saudi-Israeli alliance, in league with other hard-line Sunni countries, is helping Al-Qaeda affiliates advance toward gaining either victory or at least safe havens in Syria and Yemen, highlighting unresolved contradictions in President Barack Obama’s policies in the Middle East.

Yeah freedom! You the tax payer paid for this result by arming the Free Syrian Army!

Will Obama's fight with Warren provoke her to run?

She can no longer believe the administration is supportive of her or cares about her concerns? She can't any longer believe the administration or any other "New Democrat" can be pushed to left.

It is clear Obama is a trickle down guy that believes the job creators stuff.

Supporting someone for being in a discriminated against group even

though they support conservative causes doesn't make you a leftist either. How come you guys always forget Warren is a woman too?

If Obama's people are such loyal dems how come they don't turnout at midterms. If they need dems so desperately, how come we have a republican congress?

No they won't threaten not to vote like some anti-Hillary people will but they won't bother, never the less, simply because they have no interest in politics beyond the symbolism of Obama's Presidency.

Many of Obama's followers aren't loyal dems. They don't care about politics all that much beyond just him.

The democratic party is facing extinction in several states, but they turnout just to elect or reelect him.

At least Cornel West's "Black Lives Matter" has inspired the the election of local and state level dems. It is an issue based movement cultivating real voters rather than personality cultists. It is also a movement promoting "Real Social Equality" rather than symbolism.

West and Black Lives Matter are growing the party in a red state but the leaders offers him and his followers derision.

How will Hillary defend the Nato bombing of Libya now that people are drowning in the Mediterranean

Really the Nato bombing of Libya has to be the most tragic mistakes this administration made and it is on her. She bragged of pushing Obama to do this for months.

Europe Faces Crisis as Hundreds of Migrants Die in Mediterranean Sinkings

ROME — European leaders were confronted on Monday with a full-blown humanitarian crisis in the Mediterranean, as estimates that as many as 900 migrants may have died off the Libyan coast this weekend prompted calls for a new approach to the surging number of refugees crossing from Africa and the Middle East.

Even as efforts continued to collect the bodies from the sinking off Libya late Saturday and early Sunday — only 28 survivors have been found — Italian rescue ships responded to new distress calls from other vessels. A second migrant ship crashed near the Greek island of Rhodes, underscoring the relentless flow of people fleeing poverty, persecution and war.......................

Since Richard Engels kidnapping has been outed as a fraud, the Syrian excellent adventure is becoming equally tragic.. Let's not forget all the Nazi love from the Ukrainian regime. All inspired by neocon holdovers that Hillary rescued.

Taibbi hates Rand Paul

You're uninformed, and clearly don't actually read Taibbi.

Syrian rebels staged kidnapping of MSNBC's Richard Engel.

Syrian Rebels Caught in ‘False-Flag’ Kidnapping
April 16, 2015

By Robert Parry

In December 2012, Syria’s U.S.-backed “moderate” rebels pulled off a false-flag kidnapping and “rescue” of NBC’s chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel and his crew, getting the crime blamed on a militia tied to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a propaganda scam that NBC played along with despite having evidence of the truth.

On Wednesday, Engel, who had blamed an Assad-linked Shiite militia in reports both for NBC and Vanity Fair, acknowledged that a new examination of the case persuaded him that “the group that kidnapped us was Sunni, not Shia.” He added that the kidnappers “put on an elaborate ruse to convince us they were Shiite shabiha militiamen.”

Richard Engel, NBC’s chief foreign correspondent.
According to an account published by the New York Times on Thursday – in its “Business Day” section – NBC executives had evidence from the beginning that the actual kidnappers were part of “a Sunni criminal element affiliated with the Free Syrian Army, the loose alliance of rebels opposed to Mr. Assad.”

The Free Syrian Army has been the principal rebel force supported by the U.S. government which, in April 2013, several months after Engel’s high-profile ordeal, earmarked $123 million in aid to the group to carry out its war against Assad’s government.............

I like what Obama has done in negotiating inspection of Iranian nukes BUT...

If Obama is serious why is he not fighting the attempt to make Chuck Schumer minority leader in the Senate? Schumer is aligned to AIPAC. He will do everything in his power to kill the treaty

What percentage of the black community ultimately voted for Rahm?

That is an interesting question because I suspect Obama's ability to get black registered voters, to vote for Rahm may have decisive. Seems like that is an advantage the machine won't have in future elections when Obama is no longer President.
