Trump is teaming with "Apprentice" producer Burnette for "helicopter grand entrance" at Inauguration

Trump teaming with reality show titan for a really big show.

At a breakfast fund-raiser at Manhattan’s Cipriani 42nd Street, Mr. Trump on Wednesday gave a tantalizing hint at the inaugural festivities to come for a reality TV star-turned-president: The helicopter grand entrance.

The president-elect said he was paid a visit a day earlier by Mark Burnett, the executive producer of “The Apprentice,” the reality show that helped make the president-elect a household name. Mr. Trump told the crowd that Mr. Burnett proposed reinventing the inauguration with a helicopter taking off from New York City, according to an attendee.

Mr. Burnett, who is known for producing shows like “Survivor,” “The Voice” and “Shark Tank” as well, also told Mr. Trump that he should consider a parade up Fifth Avenue.

Donald Trump: Ive Done Nothing to Divide the Country

In an interview with Time for its person of the year issue, and a follow-up with NBC’s “Today” show, Mr. Trump talked tough.

■ He insisted he has nothing to do with the “divided states of America” that Time says he will lead. “When you say divided states of America, I didn’t divide them,” he told NBC. “I’m not president yet, so I didn’t do anything to divide.”

■ He declined to criticize Rodrigo R. Duterte, president of the Philippines, who is leading a slaughter in the streets of Manila, or even to push back on comparisons between Mr. Duterte and the president-elect’s promised crackdown on criminal illegal immigrants.

■ He rejected United States intelligence conclusions that Russia was behind hacks at the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign that boosted his campaign. “I don’t believe it. I don’t believe they interfered,” Mr. Trump said of the Russians.

Van Jones: Only a 'Love Army' Will Conquer Trump (Rolling Stone)

Van Jones: Only a 'Love Army' Will Conquer Trump

Van Jones has had some quotable moments in his side gig with CNN recently – telling former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski he was "being a horrible person" on election night, for instance.

But beyond the soundbites, Jones has a clear-eyed vision for how America can survive Trump's presidency: To confront and constrain the incoming administration, he says progressives must move beyond their anger and disbelief, and band together in a what he calls a Love Army – with hearts open enough to embrace not only the vulnerable Americans targeted by Trump and Co., but also the rural voters that were "duped" into voting for him.

It's little mystery why Jones, executive director of the Dream Corps, has emerged as a liberal hero of late. The Yale-trained lawyer from Tennessee rose to leadership in the radically diverse activist scene of late-Nineties Oakland, before embracing the environmental movement and leaping to D.C. to become President Obama's green jobs czar. Ousted after a flurry of old-school red-baiting by then-wild-eyed Glenn Beck, Jones regrouped with an assist from Prince – yup, Prince – and ultimately found a perch in mainstream media.

At CNN, Jones has towered as a voice of progressive reason – a liberal rock in a televised storm of Don Lemons and Jeffrey Lords. He gave millions of election-night viewers a one-word phrase for understanding the outcome: "white-lash." During the campaign, Jones also distinguished himself by listening to Trump voters in places like rural Pennsylvania, and fighting against blue-state snobbery that paints too many Trump backers with a cartoonist's brush.

Ground control to major Dick: Justin Bieber beats Bowie for Grammy Album of the Year Nomination

David Bowie Snubbed in Favor of Justin Bieber for Grammy Album of the Year

The nominations for next year’s Grammy Awards have been revealed, and somehow David Bowie‘s universally praised farewell album Blackstar isn’t up for either Album of the Year or Best Rock Album.

Blackstar, which has ranked at or near the top of nearly all of the rock and alternative music industry’s year-end “best album” polls – including ours – was passed over for Album of the Year in favor of Adele‘s 25, Beyonce‘s Lemonade, Sturgill Simpson‘s A Sailor’s Guide to Earth and … Justin Bieber‘s Purpose.

Blink-182′s California, Cage the Elephant‘s Tell Me I’m Pretty, Gojira‘s Magma, Panic! At the Disco‘s Death of a Bachelor and Weezer‘s latest self-titled album all got nominated over Blackstar in the Best Rock Album category.

Bowie did get a Best Alternative Music Album nod for Blackstar, joining Bon Iver‘s 22, A Million, PJ Harvey‘s The Hope Six Demolition Project, Radiohead‘s A Moon Shaped Pool and his good friend Iggy Pop‘s Post Pop Depression.

Dakota victory could be "easily overturned" by one of its investors, President-Elect Sh*tgibbon

Here's How Trump Could Undo the Dakota Access Pipeline Victory
“Legally, this is an action that can be overturned easily.”

Despite the celebrations taking place at the site of protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), experts say the recent decision to stop the pipeline could be reversed by the Trump administration or the next Congress. "Legally, this is an action that can be overturned easily," says Sharon Buccino, an attorney and director of the Land and Wildlife program at the National Resources Defense Council.

On Sunday, in a stunning surprise, the Army Corps of Engineers denied Energy Transfer Partners (ETP), the Dallas-based company building DAPL, the easement permit it needs to complete construction under the Missouri River. The Army Corps recommended studying alternate routes that would bypass the Standing Rock Sioux reservation and its water supply.

But according to Deborah Sivas, a professor of environmental law at Stanford University, there are multiple ways the pipeline might still be completed legally in its current location. The Republican-led Congress could vote to clear the way for ETP to drill under the Missouri River by passing an appropriations rider. Then the company would no longer need an easement from the Army Corps to comply with the Clean Water Act, and could thus complete the pipeline. "Trump could sign off on it in week one," Sivas says. "All it takes is one sentence."

According to financial disclosure forms filed in May, Trump owned stock in Energy Transfer Partners worth between $15,000 and $50,000; the previous year he owned stocks worth between $500,000 and $1 million. Trump also owns between $100,000 and $250,000 in stock in Phillips 66, which holds a one-quarter share of the pipeline project, according to the Associated Press.

ManBaby-Elect wants to cancel Boeing's "$4 Billion" Air Force One contract (it's $1.65 Billion)

President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday that he will cancel Boeing’s contract to build a new Air Force One, citing “out of control” costs.

Trump tweeted, “Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!”

The current cost of the program is not, however, more than $4 billion. The Defense Department has budgeted $1.65 billion for the two planes, Reuters reported in January when Boeing won the contract.

In response to Trump’s comments, Boeing said its current contract with the Air Force is just $170 million.

If the press would cover me accurately & honorably, I would have far less reason to "tweet." Sadly, I don't know if that will ever happen!

"Failing, biased, sad, unfair Time Magazine does not pick me as Person of the Year Not fair. Sad!"

He didn't actually tweet it yet, but you know it's coming.
