Acosta asks Trump if his daily "briefings" are "happy talk." Bigly yuge pouting ensues.

Trump: "If we can stay substantially under 100,000" deaths, "I think we did a very good job"

Aaron Rupar

TRUMP: "If we can stay substantially under 100,000 [American deaths] -- which was the original projection -- I think we did a very good job."

Trump passionately and eloquently defends his daily televised coronavirus MAGA rally reality TV show

Donald J. Trump

The Radical Left Democrats have gone absolutely crazy that I am doing daily Presidential News Conferences. They actually want me to STOP! They used to complain that I am not doing enough of them, now they complain that I “shouldn’t be allowed to do them.” They tried to shame.....

...the Fake News Media into not covering them, but that effort failed because the ratings are through the roof according to, of all sources, the Failing New York Times, “Monday Night Football, Bachelor Finale” type numbers (& sadly, they get it $FREE). Trump Derangement Syndrome!

Nothing says "Happy Passover" like a jazz hands video from the White House lawn.

Donald J. Trump

Wishing a HAPPY PASSOVER to those celebrating in the United States, Israel, and around the world!

Trumo explains why mail-in voting is horrible and corrupt for everyone but Trump.

President Trump: "I think mail-in voting is horrible, it's corrupt."

Reporter: "You voted by mail in Florida's election last month, didn't you?"

Trump: "Sure. I can vote by mail"

Reporter: "How do you reconcile with that?"

Trump: "Because I'm allowed to."

I cannot stop openly weeping over the departure of beloved "Press Sec'y" Steffi DUI Grisham.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, who never once held a briefing, has reportedly lost her job.

CNN reported that Grisham is returning to the East Wing where she will serve as First Lady Melania Trump’s spokesperson and chief of staff.

According to the report, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is considering Trump campaign spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany to replace Grisham.

Former Freedom Caucus spokesperson Alyssa Farah was also said to be under consideration for the job.

#TrumpIsALoser is trending on Twitter. Please don't participate in this shameful exercise. Please.

He's valiantly appearing on TV every day, and not only bringing us the latest alternative facts about the coronavirus, he's also sharing valuable information about how he wants to sue the whistleblower's ass.

Not only that, he's filling the massive void left by the absence of MAGA rallies! Every day you can turn on your TV in the privacy of your own home and experience one with your family, pets, friends, and other loved ones, as long as you sit six feet apart.

So PLEASE, for my friends on DU who use Twitter, DO NOT add #TrumpIsALoser hashtags to your tweets. We need to show him how much his "bold" and "decisive" leadership...to quote Mike Pence...means to us.

Some top Sanders advisers urge him to consider withdrawing

Some top Sanders advisers urge him to consider withdrawing

Sean Sullivan
April 4, 2020 at 6:56 p.m. EDT

A small group of Bernie Sanders’s top aides and allies — including his campaign manager and his longtime strategist — have encouraged the independent senator from Vermont to consider withdrawing from the presidential race, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.

The group includes campaign manager Faiz Shakir and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), a top Sanders surrogate and ally, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive private discussions.

Sanders himself has become more open to the prospect of dropping out, according to one of the people with knowledge of the situation and another close ally, especially if he suffers a significant defeat in Tuesday’s Wisconsin primary, which polls suggest Joe Biden will win handily.

Beyond Shakir and Jayapal, longtime strategist Jeff Weaver has privately made a case that exiting the race more quickly and on good terms with Biden would give Sanders more leverage in the long run, according to one of the people; the other said Weaver has used a light touch in presenting his case. Weaver and Jayapal did not return calls and messages seeking comment. Shakir declined to comment.
