Beloved Trump offspring Eric the Snowflake channels his inner Jan Brady ("Russia, Russia, Russia")

Eric Trump spoke to Fox News’ Jesse Watters in an interview that aired tonight and said that all the talk about Russia is “a total hoax.”

Watters said that despite his dad’s successes, “the media keeps harping on Russia, Russia, Russia.” So, the Fox Newser asked, “What’s he gonna do to neutralize that?”

Trump dismissed all of this as “nonsense” and a “witch hunt,” even citing his father’s decision to strike Syria as evidence.

“There’s some pretty disappointed people out there,” he told Watters, “so they want to further a narrative for their own political agenda. And I really believe that they would rather see this country fail than see him succeed.”

Watters said, “So the Russia thing’s a hoax.” Trump said, “It’s a total hoax.” (His father used the same word in March.)

Adrian Smith (R-NE): "There could be a number of ways that we could address" people not having food

Rep. Adrian Smith (R-Neb.) refused to say whether “every American is entitled to eat” and the food stamps program is the best way to ensure that they have the food they need.

NPR’s Scott Simon interviewed Smith on Saturday about the farm bill and President Donald Trump’s proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps. In the president’s budget, the White House is seeking $193 billion in cuts to SNAP over 10 years, an amount equal to more than one-quarter of the program’s cost over that period.

“So is every American entitled to eat and is food stamps something that ought to be that ultimate guarantor?” Simon persisted.

“I think we know that given the necessity of nutrition, there could be a number of ways that we could address that,” Smith answered.

BWAHAHA! Plastic Action Figure Jared "reviewing" option of going back to private life in NY

Mr. Trump’s private legal team, led by his New York lawyer, Marc E. Kasowitz, was preparing to meet in Washington to face new questions about contacts between Mr. Kushner and representatives of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia. Mr. Trump may meet with Mr. Kasowitz as early as Sunday, and aides have recruited a series of prominent Washington lawyers with experience in political investigations for Mr. Trump to interview in hopes that they might join the legal team.

Mr. Kushner, who organized the president’s Middle East stops at the start of the foreign trip, chose to return to Washington with several days to go and has been unusually subdued since then. But he has no plans to step down from his role as senior adviser or to reduce his duties, according to people close to him.

Still, there are signs that he is tiring of the nonstop combat and the damage to his reputation. He has told friends that he and his wife, Ivanka Trump, have made no long-term commitment to remain by Mr. Trump’s side, saying they would review every six months whether to return to private life in New York.

Mr. Kushner’s troubles are only one facet of the crisis. Reince Priebus, the White House chief of staff, and Stephen K. Bannon, the president’s chief strategist, also dropped off Mr. Trump’s trip early, in part to return to deal with the political furor over the Russia investigations and the president’s decision to fire James B. Comey as F.B.I. director.

Uday and Qusay try to charm the RNC into "reigniting" daddy's "political base"

According to a report by the Washington Post, Eric and Donald Trump, Jr., the business protégés and sons of President Donald Trump, went to the headquarters of the Republican National Committee to air frustrations about the party’s treatment of their dad.

After “having met privately with GOP leaders to share their concerns and outlook,” some Republicans were “irked” by their appearance.

Those anonymous high-level Republicans “wondered whether it was appropriate for the president’s sons, who run the Trump family real estate business, to be highly involved in discussing the party’s strategy and resources”.

Eric and Donald Jr., along with Eric’s wife Lara Trump, reportedly “made clear that they were frustrated with the way, in their view, the president has been drawn into various controversies and want the Republican Party to do what it can to help reignite his political base”.

"Just not going comment on Jared. We're just not going to comment."

During a half-hour news conference marking the end of the two-day G7 summit in nearby Taormina, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and chief economic adviser Gary Cohn said Trump had succeeded in all his goals for his inaugural foreign trip ― restore U.S. leadership, build relationships with other world leaders, and show unity among the three Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

“Now, it is clear that the president delivered on all three,” McMaster said.

“The president wants you to know that the meetings are going unbelievably well,” Cohn added.

Neither, though, would talk about Kushner, who is also a top White House adviser. “Just not going comment on Jared,” Cohn said at one point. “We’re just not going to comment.”
