Trump: "I love Tiffany. I love Tiffany. It was supposed to be off the record."

Trump tells reporters he ‘loves’ his daughter Tiffany after shocking report that he thought she was fat

Trump was asked about the story as he departed the White House for Camp David.

“The whole thing was very unfortunate. I think the press is very dishonest because it was supposed to be off the record, but still, you don’t say things like she said, which were just a little bit hurtful to some people,” Trump argued.

“Tiffany is great. I love Tiffany. I love Tiffany,” he repeated.

Later in the interview, Trump said he would be talking to Tiffany as soon as he arrived at Camp David.

“And I love Tiffany,” he said once again. “Tiffany is a great person.”

John Bolton benched by Trump — National Security Advisor sidelined on Afghanistan

National Security Advisor John Bolton is facing questions about how long he will remain in the administration after being sidelined by President Donald Trump.

“As the president’s top aides prepared for a high-stakes meeting on the future of Afghanistan earlier this month, one senior official was not on the original invite list: national security adviser John Bolton,” The Washington Post reported Friday. “The attendance of the top security aide would normally be critical, but the omission was no mistake, senior U.S. officials said. Bolton, who has long advocated an expansive military presence around the world, has become a staunch internal foe of an emerging peace deal aimed at ending America’s longest war, the officials said.”

Bolton, a leading neoconservative, has sought to continue the war in Afghanistan, which has been being going on for almost 18 years.

“His opposition to the diplomatic effort in Afghanistan has irritated President Trump, these officials said, and led aides to leave the National Security Council out of sensitive discussions about the agreement,” the newspaper noted.

Trump aides "conceded the China phone calls Trump described didn't happen they way he said they did"

Still, Trump flashed signs of optimism this week that the trade war could be resolved, saying he's received calls from Chinese officials saying they wanted to restart talks. Though Trump and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin insisted there had been "communication," aides privately conceded the phone calls Trump described didn't happen they way he said they did.
Instead, two officials said Trump was eager to project optimism that might boost markets, and conflated comments from China's vice premier with direct communication from the Chinese.

The charged language coming out of the White House in recent weeks largely boils down to this, people say: The economy is flashing warning signs Trump didn't expect, his trade war with China is dragging on months longer than expected yet he refuses to give in and his chief promise to supporters -- that he would build a wall along the southern border -- has gone unfulfilled.
Trump, sources say, is searching for an accomplishment to run on in 2020 -- and realizing time is running short to fulfill some of the key promises he made to voters in 2016.Still, Trump flashed signs of optimism this week that the trade war could be resolved, saying he's received calls from Chinese officials saying they wanted to restart talks. Trump wonders if his time in office "stolen" by Comey should be "given back."

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

The disastrous IG Report on James Comey shows, in the strongest of terms, how unfairly I, and tens of millions of great people who support me, were treated. Our rights and liberties were illegally stripped away by this dishonest fool. We should be given our stolen time back?

Trump offers calm, presidential words of encouragement to companies hurt by his tariffs.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

If the Fed would cut, we would have one of the biggest Stock Market increases in a long time. Badly run and weak companies are smartly blaming these small Tariffs instead of themselves for bad management...and who can really blame them for doing that? Excuses!

...because there are still a few laughs left in that Melania / Trudeau thing.

Melania Trump Accidentally Signs Name ‘Melania Trudeau’

Mrs Trump reportedly made the error while signing a Trump supporter’s MAGA hat, when he noticed she had written the surname of Canada’s Prime Minister instead.

According to the fan, the First Lady immediately began blushing and apologizing, saying, “Oh my I’m so sorry. I accidentally wrote Trudeau instead of… of…. of whatever my last name is… Oh yes…. Trump…. How could I forget….”

“She just kept apologizing and saying that she had been doing that a lot lately,” the supporter told the BSJ. “She ended up scratching out the Melania Trudeau name, which was a shame because it was written it in such beautiful cursive handwriting compared to the big block capital letters of TRUMP she replaced it with.”

“I told her that I thought the original signature looked a lot better and she just sighed at me and said ‘yeah, doesn’t it?’ “

Organizers have asked the audience to move out of the seats and closer to the stage ahead of Trump Jr/ Gov. Bevin event in Pikeville.
I think it's fair to say this is sparsely attended.

Lawrence retracted, and apologized.

No surprises there.

If you've ever worked in an office / cubicle / "Office Space" environment, you will LOVE this tweet.

Been there, seen that, done that for more years than I care to remember, before starting my own business in 2001.
