A rooster styled to look like President-elect Donald Trump recently became the mascot of a Chinese mall, according to CNN. The giant rooster sculpture of the president-elect — donning his signature hairstyle and hand gestures — will stand outside of a mall in Taiyuan.

Trump’s rooster statue was introduced just weeks before he will be sworn in as the 45th president of the U.S., and as we enter the year of the rooster in the Chinese Zodiac.

Businessman Wei Qing, who is selling replicas of the Trump rooster told CNN, “I think the rooster is very cute and funny, the hairstyle and eyebrows look very much like Donald Trump. I’m sure it will attract a lot of customers.” He said he finds the sculpture “hilarious.”

Trump Tower Partially Evacuated Due to Suspicious Package

The lobby of Trump Tower was briefly evacuated Tuesday amid reports of a suspicious package found in the Manhattan skyscraper, sources said.

The NYPD gave the all clear after investigating the suspicious backpack that was left in the lobby, which they determined contained children's toys.

NYPD and FDNY officials were called to the scene in midtown. The evacuation was protocol for a suspicious package and does not necessarily indicate how serious the situation is.

Footage from outside the tower shows the stream of people leaving the building.

West Virginia official who called Michelle Obama 'ape in heels" fired

The director of a West Virginia nonprofit agency who called first lady Michelle Obama "an ape in heels" in a Facebook post has been fired and the institution put under outside management, state officials said on Tuesday.

Pamela Taylor, director of the Clay County Development Corp (CCDC), which provides services to poor and elderly residents, drew international condemnation after her comment last month about Obama went viral.

She resigned in November but was reinstated last month, prompting West Virginia to review its contracts with the nonprofit.

Democratic Governor Earl Ray Tomblin's office said the state had secured an agreement under which the Appalachian Area Agency on Aging will manage the CCDC for six months.

According to PIX11, Stephanie Pazmino, 30, was taken into custody and charged with assault as a hate crime, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon after assaulting Ijan DaVonte Jarrett.

According to Jarrett, he offered his seat to Pazmino who refused before turning to her companion and saying in Spanish that she didn’t want to sit next to a black person.

“I got up anyway and said to her that she didn’t have to sit next to me,” Jarrett,told the New York Daily News. “I took a seat across from her and just forgot all about it.”

According to Jarret, the woman attacked him by punching him as attempted to get off at his stop, and that he didn’t know he had been stabbed until bystanders stepped in to help.

WASHINGTON ― Conservative Latino leaders stopped supporting President-elect Donald Trump during his campaign because of a controversial anti-immigration speech he gave in August. But now that Trump has been elected, they are optimistic that he won’t go as far as he promised.

“I’m back on board,” said Jacob Monty, an immigration attorney in Houston, Texas, who announced his resignation from Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council after the campaign speech.

He did not vote for Trump or Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But now, he said, “I’m expecting a lot of good things ... from [Trump] on immigration ― and I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people.”

The president-elect met with his council, a group of Latino leaders from across the country, at Trump Tower in August. At that meeting, he gave members the impression that he was open to considering some form of legalization for undocumented immigrants already in the U.S. But less than two weeks later, Trump made a hardline immigration speech in Phoenix, Arizona, where he promised that the millions of undocumented immigrants would not be able to obtain legal status without returning to their home countries first, regardless of whether or not they have a criminal record.
