This "Intelligencer" article on poor sad Trump at his country club misses a blindingly key point

“He just goes, plays golf, comes back, and fucks off. He has retreated to the golf course and to Mar-a-Lago,” one adviser said.

Bullshit.

This was primarily what Trump did during his four years in the White House.

Paul Ryan's Ayn Rand Tax Cuts For Millionaires were 100% Paul Ryan...if you want to believe him, something he "dreamed about" at college keggers. Trump rubber stamped them. There is no such thing as a "Trump Tax Cut." It was Ryan.

McConnell's "SCOTUS picks" and "Federal Court pics" came on a list from the Federalist Society. They wrote the checks, sent the list to McConnell, and said "Make it happen." There is no such thing as a "Trump SCOTUS pick" or a "Trump Federal Judge" pick. It was McConnell, acting on orders from the Federalist Society.

Trump's daily schedule had large blocks of "Executive Time," which often referred to him eagerly planted in front of the TV, waiting to hear his name mentioned on Fox "News."

Trump tweeted obsessively, when he had an account. He played $142 million worth of golf on the Taxpayers' dime.

The "Immigration / Border" policy was Miller...kids in cages and the rest. Miller.

Trump's dismantling of Obama era environmental and corporate regulations was FAR LESS of Trump studying these things deep into the night and more a matter of rubber stamping what his staff handed him.

In other words, he played golf and fucked off for four years as president. The only difference is that he's doing it now as a bitter, rage-filled private citizen. The concept of painting this as a "how the mighty have fallen" sob story is 100% bullshit.

I had a Twitter account since 2009. I closed it this month, do not miss it at all.

I am shocked that people who actually bought Musk's messiah complex fatwa, "I MUST SAVE FREE SPEECH AND BY DOING SO THE WORLD."

If you've been following along, Democrats...including, but not limited to Elizabeth Warren...publicly stated that Musk, Bezos and their ilk should pay their fair share in taxes.

Suddenly, Musk becomes an outspoken advocate for Republicans and buys Twitter, restoring Trump, Kanye West, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mike Lindell, and assorted Nazis.

What hastened my departure is that I can guarantee Musk had the algorithm changed to display more far-right content.

I started seeing EVERY TWEET from Kevin McCarthy, among others, and the tweets would stay at the top of my feed for hours after they were first posted. The rationale is that JOURNALISTS and DEMOCRATIC POLITICIANS I followed followed them.

This never happened BEFORE Musk slithered onto the scene, and BEGAN HAPPENING soon after his arrival.

His entire "SAVE THE WORLD" bullshit is on par with Trump's "Big Lie." He's an arrogant, authoritarian troll...nothing more, nothing less.

The simple joys of deducting your hush money payments to porn stars as "a business expense"

I didn't even know that was legal!

Also, hefty "gift" checks of $50,000 to Don Jr, Eric, & Ivanka, which Trump characterized as "loans" for MORE deductions.

It was also really sweet of the IRS to let Trump off the hook for what are normally mandatory audits of presidents.

Good to see that so far, his tax returns are another witch hunt (except they are finding witches).

I'm calliing BS on pundits who warned "OOOOH! R's will seek PAYBACK if you release Trump's returns!"

Since HEADING INTO the midterms...BEFORE they won NARROW control of the House...all they have been talking about is "payback." For the Trump impeachments, for the Mueller report, I have not seen ONE SINGLE THING they are PROMISING to do for the NEXT TWO YEARS except "own the libs."

So, bring it on. Life is too short to cower before cowards who cower before Trump. Kudos to EVERY DEM on the House Ways & Means Committee who voted to release his returns.

The DOJ is under NO OBLIGATION to act on the referrals, but damn...this is HISTORY.

I don't know what would have happened to Nixon had he not taken the advice to resign.

But THIS? This is UNPRECEDENTED, and as much as I consider Trump to be a pitiful excuse for a human being, this is a SAD...but VERY NECESSARY...day in U.S. history.

I'd say it dramatically overshadows a blow job in the oval office, too.

Merrick Garland, ball's in your court.

Enjoying a frosty seasonal mug of Kari Lake fan tears after Trump's "major" announcement

No one thought it was gonna be Trump hawking "digital trading cards."

A LOT OF PEOPLE thought he would "announce" Kari Lake...OR Stefanik or Greene...as his "VP Pick."

I guess grifting some Christmas dollars had a higher priority.

I started the Sinema countdown 30 seconds after Warnock won and the "Sinema is irrrelevant now" talk

I'm not a psychic, I just play one on TV.

Warnock won and in the blink of an eye the pundits were saying "Manchin and Sinema are now irrelevant."

My FIRST thought was "She's going to do a Tulsi Gabbard and dramatically insert herself into the news cycle to prove everyone wrong."

I'll be observing the DU terms of service to the letter until her actual exit.
